this coach s at fault
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by labas370(f): 2:34pm On Oct 30, 2022
Yes.. THEY SHOULD SEND HIM.
Companies send their staff for refresher's courses. He is a staff of NFF and it's NFF duty to help him attend some courses.

How much is he earning to start with?
How much is naira to USD?
assuming he earns #500K per month, that's less than $1000. less than what McDonald's staff earn. From that salary you want him to save up money for flight ticket, accomodation, feeding, courses fees and other expenses? No.. we must start doing some things right. And it's only corruption that make the NFF guys to say that there's no fund. There's always money available but the siphon it.

Deltamani:
Must they send him first before upgrading??

He’s a Coach and will definitely coach for long, he better do the upgrading himself, if not if he wait for NFF… zero for him..
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by labas370(f): 2:27pm On Oct 30, 2022
That's why he needs a refresher's course. Even CEO of top companies go for refresher's courses. Learning doesn't have a cap. You keep on learning and then trying out what you learnt with some modifications. He tried. We lost to colombia because the game plan for that day nearly paid off but was totally a bad game. MOU does that too.

I have a writeup i was writing after the U-20 tournament for our Nigerian female teams and i kind of abandoned it due to work. I think I will finish it up in coming days and post it here too. It will cover a lot of areas.

This coach deserved all the praises. Atleast what we all can agree is that he drilled this team well on penalty. Respect to him. He should be retained as U-17 coach but sent on a refreshers course.
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by labas370(f): 1:56pm On Oct 30, 2022
3:3 lol...

Germany upped their game and it got interesting
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by labas370(f): 1:40pm On Oct 30, 2022
Thats true. Both team would have approached with caution.
Same way we turned up against columbia would have been same way for this match if it was to be a SF.

Icon4s:
Trust me, if this was a Semi or final game, Germany wouldn't have been losing like this. That is football for you.
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by labas370(f): 1:38pm On Oct 30, 2022
Barca and A. Madrid should please sign Bello, Ajakaye, Blessing Sunday and Etim.

If Bello, Ajakaye and Etim are polish by these clubs, it will be a win- win for us.

Blessing Sunday has the potential to be a top defender. I can feel it. Had a shaky intro but have quickly settled in.
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by labas370(f): 8:41pm On Oct 06, 2022
Oh my God... I can't believe someone with his right senses will be bold and proud to defend this useless thing this coach have been doing and also supportive of all the stupid coaches NFF have been hiring. AkinsDS, this is not a matter of everyone have his or her own opinion.

This you just put up there, is calling black white. I'm sorry, it's either you are benefitting from the NFF/coach corruption or you are Pinnick.

For God sake, how can someone be supportive of this coach?

Paying coaches and players is very easy to do. Just admit it that corruption in NFF which you are supporting is what is hindering it.

AkinDS:
Edwin Okon
What better football are you talking about? 3-3 tie with Sweden? That was the highlight of his career. He flubbed big time against Australia and of course, lost to the US. How can you be a 'good coach', yet, according to you, be tactically unsound? The performance was more individual input and performance on the part of the girls. Lets be objective, please.

Florence Omagbemi
Can't know how good she was, as she really only had continental opposition which, for all intents and purposes, was average at best at the time. I am basing this on the performances of the African teams at the World Cup which, for me, is really the benchmark to measure against. I believe her success was also based on her riding the wave of a previously dominant Nigeria women's football on the continent. That dominance has since been challenged, especially with the significant investments made by countries like Zambia, Morrocco and South Africa in women's football. Not sure she would make a difference, if any, on our current team and their performance. Also, has she increased her knowledge of the game, which has since evolved significantly since 2016? Not sure.

So called 'World Class' coach
For the umpteenth time, Nigeria will not get a Pia Sundhagen or any other supposed 'WC coach'. Why? Nigeria cannot afford such a coach. Pinnick was right in ignoring the recommendations you made (which you sighted in a previous comment). You cannot pay your players or your local coaches for months and you want to hire a WC coach who would cost millions of dollars? That makes absolutely NO sense at all.

Waldrum
As Waldrum stated, he has created a deeper and much more competitive team, compared to ALL his predecessors. Nigerian women's football have NEVER had the quality of depth it possesses at this point in time, thanks to Randy. For years, we kept playing the same old players over and over again - now they are mostly burned out. These friendlies are to test, especially your new players, against quality opposition and they have availed themselves very well. I thought they dominated proceedings against Japan in this match. For the record, Japan is ranked 11th in the world. Win or lose, as far as I am concerned, Randy's approach has been very successful. I am very optimistic that this team will do well or better than previous performances. Nigerian's need to stop looking for instantaneous gratification and learn to patiently build a team.

Now, anytime these girls remember that we have match, they will be depressed... Why not relief them this pain by cutting off the main cause of their pain which is the coach?
NFF why?
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by labas370(f): 11:05am On Oct 06, 2022
For the first 30-35mins, she was poor. Sluggish and someone have suggested that it might be due to jetlag. So if it's due to jetlag, why start her? That's my problem with the coach. He is stupid. A compound fool. This is friendlies why not start other new players and then bring her in? I think, okobi, will be effective coming in as a substitute than starting. She reads the game plan better than the coach but from the bench than as a starting player

isan:
Lol she did a good job but they haul her off as soon as the second half commence
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by labas370(f): 11:02am On Oct 06, 2022
From day 1, my blame have always been on this coach... He is abusing these girls. I don't know why God gave Africans stupid and useless leaders.
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by labas370(f): 10:52am On Oct 06, 2022
Okobi was poor. She was slow and was losing the ball first 30-35mins and was rightfully substituted. The problem is the coach. Making a wrong substitution. What we needed is someone that we come in help distribute the ball faster without Hodling it for long and the rightfully substitution is onyendeze as far as this match is concerned.

Next thing to do was remove ifeoma and bring in sebastine. Let her and Kalu be switching the 9 position.

Later, remove vivan, bring in alani and push alozie to RW.

Move Ajibade to RW wing, remove Alozie and bring in mbadi.

Teams play will not be disorganized. The will maintain the tempo and would have matched this pacy japanese.

BascoVanVeli:
But u claimed Okobi was poor and the midfield fell apart once she left. What's up with that?
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by labas370(f): 10:24am On Oct 06, 2022
Players like Kalu, ajibade, sebastine, onyendeze are those that can make them commit fouls..
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by labas370(f): 10:22am On Oct 06, 2022
Have players that can make them commit fouls, why keep them on the bench and bring in heavy sluggish lazy players?

Onyendeze and the other girl by 90mins? This coach is a mad cow. A mad fool. A satanist and wicked soul
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by labas370(f): 10:19am On Oct 06, 2022
This coach is causing mental damage to our players. He has inflicted them with that losers mentality. Plus NFF, let this be the last match this man will coach.
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by labas370(f): 10:14am On Oct 06, 2022
Good you noticed it too... She is a good player but this particular match is not for her.

carbonado:
this man is just a wrong coach for us, Ify s not effective in this game, take her out...same thing he did against Morocco...Na wa..
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by labas370(f): 10:11am On Oct 06, 2022
This match is for fit mobile and agile players. Zambia vs China Olympics. That's why Zambia outplayed China. Match them pace by pace and outpace them. Genetically, we have stronger stamina than them, use it to outmuscle them. Not, using sluggish players, slow players, players that prefer to be standing or waiting for the ball to come to them. Coaching staff lacks everything. This hurts me.. onyendeze was the perfect replacement for okobi. Fluidity etc

labas370:
I supported removing her the problem is wrong substitution. He brought in a heavy sluggish player.. That's the problem.
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by labas370(f): 10:06am On Oct 06, 2022
I supported removing her the problem is wrong substitution. He brought in a heavy sluggish player.. That's the problem.

Deltamani:
They said NgoziA Okobi is was the problem, She’s out now the midfield double crippled
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by labas370(f): 10:05am On Oct 06, 2022
Why is the coach soo blind to identify this hole? Ifeoma can't out run these pacy defenders so she will always be on offside.
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by labas370(f): 10:01am On Oct 06, 2022
There's a hole now in that middle
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by labas370(f): 10:00am On Oct 06, 2022
People that have always supported this coach, hmmm i wonder ohh.. he is sinking our football down
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by labas370(f): 9:58am On Oct 06, 2022
Coach is high on crack.. i haven't seen the impact of his substitution. Always making wrong substitution. That sub put pressure on the defenders.
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by labas370(f): 9:38am On Oct 06, 2022
what many just complained now, due to ajibade's fault, they would have scored. why hold the ball unnecessarily?
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by labas370(f): 9:35am On Oct 06, 2022
Ifeoma has been good and is a good player but as far as this match is concerned, She doesn't have that pace to outrun those japanes girls. Football as we all know sometimes needs some tactical changes. First okobi should be out at the start of the 2nd half with Onyendieze in and let them play for 15mins before ifeoma can be substituted. Why should ogbonna be getting call-ups while patricia is neglected? I don't get this.

lovewins:
I agree with your assessment save your opinion on Ifeoma. She's been great, she's only a victim of an ineffective midfield. She's even been more active than Uchenna Kanu so if anyone should go first, it should be the later.

However, I'll argue we really do not have enough to judge our strikers right now cause they haven't really been fed. I'll suggest a revamp of the midfield to assess before any change is made.

And a big shout out to the BeyonceKiki youtube channel. And it will be great if we can subscribe. The owner have been consistent on given us streams even those NFF were not able to have access to right from the canadian matches, usa matches and this. Big shame to NFF
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by labas370(f): 9:23am On Oct 06, 2022
Thanks for the reply. Maybe he didnt watch the first 30mins. Okobi was sluggish, losing the ball, can't run. This is clear that the younger bloods are those running show for the SF in this match. The other 2 U20 should be brought in. Ifeoma should be removed, sebastine in for her, okobi out and onyendieze in and we are good to match these Japanese pace by pace

isan:
Okobi has been losing ball and putting the defense under unnecessary pressure
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by labas370(f): 9:05am On Oct 06, 2022
if okobi should start 2nd half, then i know that the coaching staff are all buffoons. Imagine have okobi and the other grandma as our midflders, japan would have been thrashing us by now. Ogbonna is a no no. the oyibo girl doing two jobs.

this is what i call, honourable loss. Not that embarrassment we had first match.

Zogg and patricia are highly needed in this team asap. no useless excuse... both of them are 100x better than the current two U-20 defenders playing right now... no excuse to justify their exclusion.
