No lecturer has the right to accept money and sex as payment for marks. The balance of power between the lecturer and student is generally skewed towards the lecturer, so a student cannot force a lecturer to do such against his/her will.
My Prof failed her own daughter during my Master's degree. Academia is a place where merit should be placed above everything.

I advocate that Kiki should help create an online database of lecturers who are corrupt and sexual predators. Students who have been sexually harrased or asked for bribe can go there and write their stories with the full names of the lecturers, department, faculty. Let google do the rest.

No lecturer wants his name popping up on the internet for the wrong reasons when you are researching about them, they only want you to see their publications, articles and journals when you type in their names in the search bar. Trust me, many of them will sit up and zip up.

A lesson for other lecturers who think they are safe. Many victims are remembering your names and posting it on social media. There will be no escape route.

Stay away from perverting and preying on young students or face the consequence because your name will one day be mentioned and people will start asking question.

I urge every student who have been a victim to go on social media and start posting the names of every lecturer who have asked them for sex. Just mention their names google will do the rest.

Like I said earlier, a sex offenders registry should be opened by NUC or Ministry of education, it should be online. Any student who is a victim should anonymously go there and call out the lecturer's name. That lecturer will be paying with his job and reputation?

If the Universities are not willing to take seriously this issue but only further victimize the student who is bold enough to report the offensive malfeasance, then a higher power must take responsibility.
Ministry of Education, NUC, NBTE, NCCE should now take up the mantle against this issue.

Any school where lecturers are found indulging in such should also stand the risk of losing their accreditation in that department since their exam scores are not based on merit.

That guy MelesZenawi is a classic text book case of Passive Aggresive disorder. A mental illness of many sadistic people. Nothing positive comes from them, always opposing every idea, always fighting, repetitively annoying, bitter and lamenting about everything. They usually have a history of broken and/or loveless family, abusive childhood, bully, drunk parents.

Many of them are also borderline suicidal and wants everybody to be angry because they are also unhappy. A classic case of 'Misery loves company'.

He should read up online and do a self-diagnosis and start therapy, there is still hope for him as long he has not commited suicide yet. Else he'll end up poor, miserable and take his own life. I pray he doesn't end up like that.

I wish him well and ask God to help him anyday he stops denying he has a mental issue (like other mental health patients, they always deny anything is wrong is with them, that's another symptom) and embraces therapy which must start from within him.

I know of a lecturer who is currently battling to clean up his name from the internet after he was sacked in 2008 for sex for marks. Anytime you type his name, to see his research publication, the sex for marks story shows up. It cost him a lot as many institutions refused to employ him, many reputable international journals refused to publish his works. I just hope he has changed.

We live in a world where online reputation is everything, if your name pops up online for the wrong reasons, opportunities (which are not very many in the first place) will flee from you. You'll be placing a ceiling above your achievements.

The fastest way douse the agitation which is being fuelled by discontent and exclusion and make IPOB look unattractive to the average Eastern is to ensure an Easterner becomes president as was done for the SW in 1999 after the MKO saga when they formed OPC and even clamourer for Oduduwa.
