Jobs/VacanciesRe: Don't Be Brash And Over-confident: Lesson For Job Seekers by Lacoolmley: 10:53am On Jul 18, 2015
Sometimes or even most times, if you say you don't know how to drive you miss the next stage of the interview. If you lie that you can can drive, you progress to the next stage of the interview and learn on the job if you are lucky. Someone on the recruitment panel could say I like this guy who was truthful that he can't drive because he is honest. Another one could say I like this guy who even though he couldn't drive, he affirmed that he could drive because he likes facing challenges. Different strokes for different folks. God's favour is key.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: 6 Reasons Why Discrimination Against 2.2 & 3rd Class Graduates Should Stop by Lacoolmley: 7:04am On May 21, 2015
So by implication, you are saying those that made 1st class had no family issues, financial issues, etc. These ones have proven that they can have all those issues and still come out in flying colours. If someone says he is smart and then leaves his books to go have fun or improve his social status on campus, how is that anyone's business. At the end of the day he comes out and says he is smarter than those with 1st class. I am not saying 2.2 and 3rd class graduates are not smart, but when it comes to academic success, they should just accept that they didn't do well at that time of their lives and move on rather then try to belittle the academic achievement of the first class graduate.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Why We Charge Users To Rewrite Their Cvs – Pushcv by Lacoolmley: 10:32pm On Mar 27, 2015
Even if they write a CV for someone, are they going to add experience for someone without one? Its of little value having these people write CVs.
PoliticsHow can we reduce Corruption In Nigeria? by Lacoolmley(op):
It's no news that corruption has reached alarming levels in our society. Recently, it has been one of the main points of political discussions amongst our people especially as it concerns those in high places. Surprisingly, very few seem to be talking about the everyday corruption in "small" places. Take for instance, registration for drivers' license where the stipulated cost is about N6,500 or so but one pays up to N10,000 coupled with the enormous stress involved before final collection. This also applies to registration for International passport and so many others. This makes one to wonder what well meaning individuals can do to curb corruption in our country. Let's suggest ways to alleviate the sufferings of the common man. I suggest we should start taking photos of people demanding bribes or recording them in order to shame them. What do you think?

CareerRe: 5 Things Fresh Graduates Should Know To Succed At Work by Lacoolmley: 1:57pm On Sep 28, 2014
Regarding the 4th point, I think i've learnt my lesson. Back in school, I would perform a task according to my understanding without fear of the consequences but this is now different in my workplace as I want to make sure I do the right thing. I got the job based on my certificates and was very eager to learn on the job. Little did I know that my new colleagues were unhappy with my position in the company. So whenever I confided in them concerning my limited experience and how I would like to learn from them, they used it against me and made the boss to look down on me. So now I have decided to be saying something even when there's nothing to say without caring if it would cost me my job.
CareerRe: What Can I Do With A Degree In Fodd Science And Technology? by Lacoolmley: 11:15pm On Aug 19, 2014
If FST is not the course you opted for and is not closely related to your choice, I doubt if you will ever get any satisfaction from it. At some point, you might feel like you have just wasted all of your time. Although finishing with top grades in any course is good, you might not be so proud of it when your first class in FST is looked down on when compared to a first class in your first love. Think about it.... you might want to buy another JAMB form....... Could be different in the western world.

Well, it all depends on choice. If I were you, I'll write another Jamb exam for a course that would be more sort after by the companies I admire. You could improve yourself while you wait by getting a part time job, engaging in sports or learning to play a musical instrument. lipsrsealed

Car TalkRe: Senate Slashes Number Plate Price To N8,400, Drivers’ Licence To N4,000 by Lacoolmley: 12:31am On May 12, 2012
yoged: Pls house. I just paid #4000 to renew my Driver's licence on Tuesday 8th of May here in Ilorin, kwara state. I was asked to come back for it next week tuesday 15th of May. I was told i will be issue the Old one because the New one has been stoped by Senate. What will happen to the Old driving licence? Will it still be valid? Thanks
This is exactly what i fear about the whole thing. They will now force people who have valid but old driver's licences to pay for the new ones instead of waiting to get them on their next renewals.

CareerRe: Agricultural Engineers Forum: Lets Meet Here And Share Our Experiences! by Lacoolmley: 10:49pm On Mar 17, 2012
Agric Engineering is good but if you have an opportunity to change to Mechanical, I'll say you should go for it. With a Mechanical degree, you are given a chance to work in more engineering fields than one with Agric. Eng. Just look at it this way; a Mech Engr could be employed to do your job but it's quite hard to employ you to do his job.
TravelRe: Arik Heathrow Brouhaha Takes New Dimenision As Airhostess Is Nabbed With Cocaine by Lacoolmley: 3:23am On Dec 22, 2011
Hmm! I just read through this thread and can only say that Sagamite is a big idiot. Just because someone has a different opinion to yours doesn’t make the person less of a human being or less educated as you try to proclaim. Opening your mouth to say someone you don’t even know is a product of a failed educational system goes a long way to expose the type of person you are. Arrogant fool. You have a very bad attitude which shows in every statement you make.
As for Justwise, I have read a couple of your posts and I used to like some of your arguments but seeing that you are beginning to enjoy the way Sagamite responds to people without finding it repulsive is a big surprise to me.
Anyway, I wonder whether Nairaland people dey fear to take una on. Well sha, I no get time. Oya Sagamite, bring it on.

Chai! Are we this hungry or just trying to emulate the West? I though the idea behind free food in Western schools was to help kids whose parents were too busy to prepare it for them and also for weight control. This one we are doing is making us look like hungry people. Maybe if unemployment is tackled, the parents wouldn’t be so “less privileged” and food problem might be reduced. I no sabi o! I just dey imagine sha.

wowo2:
who be dis SAGAMITE sef, any little tin d guy says CRETIN.

By the way, i have said it. Everybody has likes and dislikes. If the woman dislikes foreigners it could just be some preservationist instinct. I do not fault her.

If you are abroad, just make sure you still know where home is because if UK should get a govt that capitalizes fully on dislike of foreigners , even if not in any way close to Hilter's, oh boi o, na to bleach like MJ if you want to stay alive.
Thank you very much. Preservationist Instinct which is normal but some go over the top as to publicly display what they feel like this woman.
