irynterri: hello dear, guess i'm inspired by ur pix and really need ur advice..i used to have a shoulder length hair(relaxed though) after sec.sch i stopped taking care of it and it is getting shorter with every passing day..its so strong and stubborn and i'm considering cutting it to start again..do u tink dats d best i can do or can it still grow and become soft without cutting it?thanks in anticipation I'm sorry i'm just seeing this. You arent alone.I'm currently going through a setback as well. You dont have to do a full cut. Trimming the weak and split ends will do and just continue to: -relax the new growth every 8-12 weeks while protecting your ends with vaseline or castor oil. -Do the LOC method(wash with conditioner or shampoo, apply any natural oils you can lay your hands on, and apply a leave-in cream) -Tie a scarf before going to bed. -do a deep or protein conditioning treatment as needed. Since your hair is the stubborn type, i will recommend doing a lot of Deep conditioning. |

babysmart: @ladygogo
pls is there a particular hairstlye that makes hair grow quickly?
And how do you relax your hair yourself? I'm afraid no particlular style makes your hair grow quickly, but you can protective-style with cornrows, updo and finger comb or detangle etc to keep your ends from getting further damaged. |

Trying to lose or maintain weight? I saw your wedding pic and if I remember correctly, you're quite slim. Trying to maintain the weight and to help with my health issues. I heard changing one's diet helps. |

lol. A $5,000 Chanel and $15,000 Hermes Birkin may just be another bag to put your stuff in to kids from rich homes, but to an ojuorolari(I never chop type) like Toke Makinwa its a big freaking deal. |

You are doing the right thing. Even if you think you are being stingy, it's your money and no one has the right to tell you how to spend it.
By the way, if she was a good friend she would have understood your plight.
Fugk friendship. Fugk aso-ebi. |

babyosisi: Is this thing worse amongst Igbos or what? Imagine 7 cows killed and dashing countless goats to groups What for Shouldn't the groups be the ones bringing goats Why should the bereaved family be doing saraka with goat not even fowl I think it's everywhere with the exception of the northern muslims. |

FynBabe: I love the muslim's way of burial. They don't do all these things. I wish christians can learn to bury in the muslim way and the money spending would become a thing of the past. Yoruba muslims beg to differ. |
Family › Re: Must We Bury People With Fanfare? , Rantings allowed. by ladygogo: 4:31pm On May 04, 2015 |
I'm not a fan of this nonsense either. Its a waste of money.
The Northern muslims need to be emulated when it comes to burials. |

You remember they were both gifted National Awards at the sametime... it was not a coincidence
Stephanie and Genevieve got into logger heads eventually though.... cos Oronto wanted Stephanie Okere as well
RIP to Oronto... Lol. You nailed it! Im Sure they were almost in tears when jonathan lost the election. Aso rock also sponsored stephanie's wedding in france. GenevievE needs to go easy on the botox. |

edwife: Exactlty,i really don't get when people frown each time they see such topic. It has been there for ages, unless we change it which I doubt.
Even I that was raised with 6 elder brothers were not that controlled, but they tried ,thank God for my Dad. Lmao. Seriously, those ladies are not ready to get married. Imagine financially independent women allowing their parents make decisions for them in 2015. A cousin of mine who was still residing in Nigeria got married in Sweden and didnt deem it fit to inform her parents until after the wedding. She only just did the traditional wedding in 2013. lol. |

Well, marriage is the be all and end all in Nigeria. No surprises there.
But why are these women allowing their parents control their lives if they want to get married? The Temitope lady from Ogun state is the "stoopidest" of them all. |

smartmom: My big goal now is trying to wean my household off white sugar so they dont have to face the struggles I have had to fight. It is made worse since nobody is really overweight (at least by Nigerian standard)but we all know sugar is nobody's friend. *Sigh* i thought i was the only one addicted to sugar, although its been a while since i stopped taking white sugar. It's a real struggle. |

Chillisauce: Egusi is nuts and it's very healthy. The only thing here is to reduce the palm oil.
Try boiling your protein with tomato puree. It changes the color to red . Then top with 2 table spoon of palm oil to retain the taste.
You can also reduce your quantity of egusi by blending steamed broccoli. Helps in thickening
I did one and it tasted great. But I added uziza leaf for the scent and plenty pepper for the slight change in taste Thank you chillisauce. I will try incorporating that in the recipe. |
Personally I try to avoid swallows primarily because our soups are just too high in calories. For example, the soup has got palm oil. Palm oil is very fattening. Secondly the portion size is a lot. Half of that is more than enough for starters.[/quote) Efe please dont kee me abeg. I thought red palm was healthy fat and i added more swallow because its wheat and oatmeal since they are considered healthy carbs. *sigh* Thank you. I will keep my portions smaller. |

Teagirl: You made the right decision, men are becoming unrealiable by the day,, you can't afford to quit your job for someone that is not married to you yet..to get a job in this country is very difficult, so you can't afford to let go of this one for a pharmacy you are not sure of.. Succinctly put. |
