If you are, what school was your licence obtained from?
Thank you. |

It's possible, but I'm not really a fan of packing food for guests in plastics at events.
Do you absolutely have to get married in church?
Why cant you have a court wedding at Ikoyi or any federal registry wherever you are based in Nigeria? This option will cut down on the number of guests.
For the reception, you can check out some of the Chinese restaurants in your area. You should be able to make reservations for your guests.
Then on Sunday you can do your church blessing. |

damiso: It was o. she asked for my dad's name ,where he worked ,where my mother was from even trying to decode if she knew people who knew them(which she invariably did as most lagosians know each other). I could have put the mums issues to you wanting to know the background of who your child is dating. It's the bobo himself I had issues with. All i can say I don't se ju ara mi lo (I don't do pass myself) so if I had married him we would probably be having issues with trying to keep up with the joneses. Remembering that guy makes me laugh sometimes. If I had looked at all the trappings I would have probably been an 'Island big gal' by now Chei see me suffering in london
BUT I would have been suffering and smiling and probably using all my own money to keep an 'image'.
That said it works for some and sometimes that name and clout opens up doors and opportunities that might not have otherwise been opened. It was not just for me. Haba! What is it now? Its not like her son is marriage material sef. Lol. Suffering and smiling o and probably have to be the one footing the bills, because a lot of these boys are lazy azzez living in their fathers shadow and not particularly independent. Yeah, it does work for some. |

coogar: so it's all about his money? do you think men like maje are preys to the ever desperate nigerian women? It's not always all about the money and the name. Sometimes, its about having a 'good time'. Yes, but there are still very few Nigerian women that dont care about social climbing though. |

Is it possible they are not married? Those pictures, the party moving in together. Person will just wear wedding dress and be forming married? Choi!
So a woman can commandeer a man into marrying her. Maje sef. i dont understand myself. Nothing is impossible with that fake girl. |

coogar: i was told they seemed happy but then it could be fake. i was told she always flaunted him on her IG/twitter page.
i think the guy never wanted to marry her. she used the social media to her advantage. her fans nearly killed the dude when he hesitated just before the court wedding......he quickly changed his mind & they did the wedding out of the blue...
MBA! the guy deserves better - toke is a twät! with her manicured nails & that shyte face she always carries around. Oh yeah. She used social media to bully him into marrying her . Apparently thats the trend now with these pseudo celebs. Lol. Toke has really 'washed' that guy. Although, his family may not have as much money as before, he still has that old money refinement to him. You can tell he isnt cut out for the naija celebrity crap. |

coogar: so what do you advise? toke should leave her marriage? is there any guarantee she would find happiness in her next relationship? Hello Coogar, There is nothing like happiness when it comes to these two. If it was about happiness she wont have gone ahead to marry him after what his family members did to her. Did people actually take that marriage seriously? I mean their sham of a marriage. The Maje guy actually stood her up at the Ikoyi Registry, hit her and she still went on to plan a surprise a wedding. Only a thirsty and low self-esteemed girl will do that. As far as I'm concerned, they deserve each other. Who marries a runs girl like toke and a Lagos Ikoyi Fugk boy like Maje Ayida and expect it to last? |

Shollypopzz: Bullsh1t!! There should be a clause or an exception to your statement. It was some people's culture to kill twins, It was some people's culture to bury people alive with a dead King, it was some people culture to enslave people, it was some people's culture to marry off under-aged children. Shouldn't such culture be rubbished??
The whole idea that a wife should call a younger SIL auntie stems from the ideology that the wife is a property that has been sold to her husband's family. They have ownership and she is to submit to their will, even those of the kids. The culture is very condescending to women and as women, we don't have to condone it; we can change it. One should not condone ignorance because it is one's culture.
Culture changes. As long as humans create and define their culture, it will always change because humans change. Nothing is stagnant, so we shouldn't expect culture to be permanent.
@op: I blame your husband 100%. What husband would keep quiet while his younger sister is telling his wife to call her auntie?? Instead of facing your SIL, face your husband. If your husband agrees with his family, there is nothing you can do about it. In fact, his younger sister has the guts to tell you to call her auntie because he allows it. True Tea. How are you these days? |

Its my first time making it too. I heard its a good source of vitamin k, a, high in folate and fibre. Yeah it does. @veave. lol. You can start by reducing your portions and adding more veggies and fruits to your diet because doing it cold turkey can be difficult. Cheating once in a while is ok too and yours truly has been cheating like crazy. In the past few days I have had sweet and salty popcorn, ovaltine buiscuits, iced cappucino with cream, jollof rice(the devil) etc. but i know I will have to do more jumpsquats and pressups in the coming days. It just takes a lot of determination. @cococandy What Canadian city borders where you live? |

gbosaa: I'm one of those you mentioned below. I won't adopt a child because of infertility. News about baby factories have messed up my mind about adoption. It's really messed up in Nigeria. I would definitely help in kids development either by paying school fees, sponsorships or supporting them while they are with their biological parents. I would never adopt a child as my own. I'm blessed to be fertile but even if I wasn't. I would accept my fate than introduce a blood line that hasn't got my DNA into my family.
If my wife can't conceive, I would try outside. If I can't, then my brother takes over my properties. i guess your wife can 'try outside' too if you arent able to get her pregnant. How about that? lol. @ Your last sentence. Oh well. Some wives do have them. |

I agree. I have stylishly started telling my husband that i'm open to adoption and other fertility methods if we arent able to conceive naturally after a certain number of years. He of course side-eyed me. I'm not cut out for hopping from one church to another. Not the religious type anyway. Loved your advice on that thread by the way. |
