PoliticsRe: 3 Bombs rock Northeastern Nigerian City; Many Dead - North Now Like Iraq by LadyT(f): 10:09pm On Apr 25, 2011
It doesnt need to be a blood bath I think the North should be the first to go give them whatever they want within reason blow up the bridges that connect us and lets be done with it and them.

They will be privy to strict immigration rules before they can enter the south we dont need any suicide bombers coming over.

We want nothing more to do with them we wish them well but good riddance.

Lets see who they will turn on now. Maybe by then they will come to their senses but by then its too late.

If we finally spilt the south (which I dont think we need too) I think the FG needs to compensate the delta and south south regions that have been destroyed by these oil companys and sabators. Then everyone go their separate ways.

Let peace rein!

It is all nice and good to ask for the country to be split, it has become a recurring chant in the past few weeks. But I have yet to read anyone give a useful suggestion on how this can be done, along what lines the splits should occur, meaningful and useful critique and not just a whole lot of useless dribble, part of an unending mass chorus!!!
And how do you suggest innocent people stop being murdered by the savages in the north?
PoliticsRe: 3 Bombs rock Northeastern Nigerian City; Many Dead - North Now Like Iraq by LadyT(f): 7:03pm On Apr 25, 2011
Everyone who doesnt have oil in his/her land should go and bloody farm! people will always need food.  I have been saying it for sometime we Yorubas need to get some sense into our heads and start serious farming.

It is a disgrace that Nigeria has to import food!

Leave the oil to the south south, delta regions its their land their black gold!

I have no problems with us having very open borders a few of my family married across tribes but let every sect rule himself and lets stop this madness.  We tried to make it work but this a failed marriage!

Lets get a bloody divorce.

People quote how Yoruba's and South South hates Igbo's and wouldn't want to be part of a break away country. I want to raise too important issues.

1. No matter the differences between the various Southern groups, they have evolved past the level of taking cutlass against defenceless groups. Hence EVEN if divisions exist between the groups, it will NEVER reach the extent of what is obtainable in Nigeria. Tell me, what is the average number of lives lost in Northern Nigeria yearly for the past 10 years?
2. Who told u Igbo's really need the other groups to form a country? Igbo's have more than enough land to sustain itself (you may want to look at the size of Israel on a map).

Any of the regions in the South can prosper independently: mostly educated, hardworking or endowed with natural resources.
The North on the other hand have a culture of not striving for education, restricted by religion and negatively affected by their living conditions. Today's Nigeria is hell and heaven joined together.
GOD BLESS YOU! Well said
PoliticsRe: 3 Bombs rock Northeastern Nigerian City; Many Dead - North Now Like Iraq by LadyT(f): 6:55pm On Apr 25, 2011
Look lets face facts we need to smash the three or so bridges that link the north to the south everybody go your own damn way.  Let the North rule itself jare instead of killing everyone they dont like the look of.

It is only Muslims in the north who have serious issues the ones in the south dont cause this kind of trouble.

If anyone fancies living under sharia law please go to the North. Leave the rest of us in peace and not in pieces HABA!

Kokogee are you trying to say you are over age 50 and this is how you talk? Daddy you have problem

kokogee:
Clearly, u're educated (probably thru bribing and messing around with lecturers) but you'r largely ignorant with low IQ due to Nigerian system of education, If not what made u conclude that I'm from north? Let me tell you that my parent from Ogun state settled in Lagos(where I was born and spend all my life till date) over 50 years ago.
2ndly, if you offered(read and passed) a course called ppl and culture, a GST course, the history of pre-colonial education in Nigeria favoured the south(especially the south-westerners) more than the north, thus making the region to be at a disadvantage. They were treated as educationally disadvantaged bcs it is only few of them that have access to education such that they don't even fully utilised the allocation given to them bu universities in the country.

In addition, if u're thinking, u would see that most of our leaders sent their children to private schools and abroad to study bcs they have messed up our education to produce ppl that think like u- ppl who believe that the reason for going to school is to make a living rather than acquire knowledge/analytical mind.

I'M TRYING HARD TO WAKE YOU UP FROM YOUR IGNORANT SLEEP. BUT IT SEEMS YOU ARE NOT READY TO GROW INTELLECTUALLY SUCH THAT FROM ALL THE SOLUTIONS THAT PPL HAVE PROFFERED AND i STILL REITERATED ON IT, ALL YOU CAN SAY IS THAT I'M A NORTHERNER; WHAT A SHAME. DAMN!!!
PoliticsRe: Almajiris - Nigeria's Ticking Time Bomb by LadyT(f): 2:00pm On Apr 25, 2011
It's quite clear a lot of these rich power people be them northers or Muslims from other tribes don't want to see an end to these schools churning out alamajiris as who is desperate enough to receive 1000 naira and then carry machete to chop people to pieces?

If basic education cannot be incorporated into cramming of the Koran then please do the following.

Shut the schools investigate those who paid these holigans to attack innocents and arrest and prosecute them all finish.

I'd we don't do this I suggest Nigeria splits if we can't live together in peace I rather we lived apart as different pieces

I expect these NL Almajiris to come up with usefull  programmes/project proposals which wud be design to pracatically change these almajiri children into usefull and productive force to their relevant cummunities and society at large then meet the relevant authorities to put the necessary sytem tarwards making these projects visible. Instead of coming here to preach Islam is peacefull and all that scripts, taking defence.
Thank you oh! I'm shocked anyone with any sense would think the current program was actually a positive thing!
PoliticsRe: Almajiris - Nigeria's Ticking Time Bomb by LadyT(f): 7:19am On Apr 25, 2011
I find it so hard to believe that you have family and friends in the north kobo. Have you EVEN tried to search for reports of who was reported to be responsible since your so called relations have not given you any information?

http://contraculturemag.com/?p=403

This is just one. If you really have people on ground where it was really kicking off you would stop banging on about there's been no reports.

It's people like you who live aboard that make others look silly.

PoliticsRe: Almajiris - Nigeria's Ticking Time Bomb by LadyT(f): 12:46am On Apr 25, 2011
Like I said kobo it's pointless please speak to your so called family and friends to find out who was running the streets with machetes and wood. Also try searching for news articles.

Alamajiris are nothing more than uneducated mistreated hungry youth. I'm quite sure someone  paid them to carry out the violence. But the problem with alamajiris is they are so silly they just need to hear somones insulted their religion or someones cheated a fellow brother.
PoliticsRe: Almajiris - Nigeria's Ticking Time Bomb by LadyT(f): 12:24am On Apr 25, 2011
The fact that you say that no reports state Almajiris were responsible. I agree they were not 100% responsible but to say that there have been no reports tells me two things

a) you have no family in the areas where the riots happened
b) you somehow missed certain news reports

This leads me to conclude trying to debate with someone who doesnt even try to google what she knows nothing about is a total waste of time!

*sigh*

LagosShia you are hilarious Im touched you remembered its Easter. You are derailing the thread because you refuse to answer simple questions

Im sorry you cant understand why I cannot understand any reason a man would need to r a p e a child he married as a wife. What does a gorwn man with wives need with a child!

We will never agree so I wont waste time with you dear.

Back to topic wink

Thank you LagosShia thats all I wanted confirmed case closed. She was 9 abi? rubbish unlike you I dont need to defend my creator he can do that himself unlike yours. grin quote away Im not wasting time looking for quotes to make me look better unlike you

As for you Kobo this is your problem as always you think I am basing my comments on this one article?

Can you answer a simple question how is sending children out to beg a form of education?
How does this better their life? What kind of program do you call this?

If you bothered to read my posts you will see I ask the question that why is this problem only in the North?

on your points
on point a) how is teaching children how to cram the koran and beg a program of eduction?

on point b) completely pointless giving your children away as young as 4 because you cant afford them is a joke are you telling me that all the poor people do it?

on point c) learning to beg and cram the koran is useless

on point d) when people cannot tell left from right you expect them to know what and what not to burn?

on point e) this is your most silly point you ask for evidence? IS THE RECENT VIOLENCE NOT ENOUGH EVIDENCE FOR YOU?
PoliticsRe: Almajiris - Nigeria's Ticking Time Bomb by LadyT(f): 10:39pm On Apr 24, 2011
Your points are baseless because what has any of your pointless out of context quotes got to do with the topic. Further more you lack education Hitler killed at least 6million Jews!

Mohammed married a child and you know it! she wasnt a teenager she was a child!
PoliticsRe: Almajiris - Nigeria's Ticking Time Bomb by LadyT(f): 10:09pm On Apr 24, 2011
I laugh at LagosShia you are beginning to show yourself as an extremist misquoting the bible to make yourself look good.

Your signature says it all
Live like Mohammed (a grown man who married a child of age 6 and starting despoiling her at age eight) the other two you have named I hate to even think what they got up too.  Please address the topic and stop posting trash.

your religion is a whooping 400 years behind Christianity you are not superior and never shall you be. Like I have said before the south has many muslims why dont we have the same problemshuh

Kobojunkie:
These schools currently help feed, educate, and bed thousands of these kids - they are practically semi-orphanages for the poor and helpless in the society. The poor do not have to sleep on the sides of the road and go to bed hungrier because of these schools. The kids cannot afford better schools --- schools that maybe mix islamic studies with western science, or even western schools -- so they attend the non-government funded schools that welcome them.

Here are questions for you . . . .Why do you want to close these schools when you have not much to provide them a better alternative? When the next round of killings happen, will you be back here again to demand the schools be shut knowing that your Government has still done nothing in the way of providing them a better alternative?
This line is a joke. Feed and educate? Semi orphanages? A place where all they learn is the koran which leads them to NO QUALIFICATIONS rearing cattle is a better than this! they are dumped in these hell holes by their parents in order to feed they need to go on the streets and beg. These schools turn most of these kids into savage murderers.

Seriously they do no good whatsoever please do not insult the people who have died at the hands of the products of such schools.
PoliticsRe: Almajiris - Nigeria's Ticking Time Bomb by LadyT(f): 8:11pm On Apr 24, 2011
Kobojunkie:
Not necessarily the case for the majority! Many of these kids actually go back home to where their siblings and mothers live (even if out in the streets). I am speaking especially in the case of Almajiris, many of these groups consist of mother units and father units. They all go out individually to make some living and bring the excess back to the others.

Even the Almajiri system itself seems to be designed in a way to encourage that. These children are more often than not sent by their parents to these caregivers who in turn send them out to beg and earn some.

Strict Child Care laws such as?? I mean we first need to be willing to step out of ourselves, to take serious time to understand the situation before moving to enforce any such laws, in my opinion. So far, it seems we are more quick to blame unrelated issues than we are to see the issue as it really is. Many of the poor are poor and disconnected from development. That needs to be tackled first and foremost. Going in and instituting draconian laws to force them to change from their ways without providing sufficient amout of programs to help them will do nothing but worsen the situation for these already poor and helpless individual in our societies.

Actually, there have been many calls by organizations such as ECOWAS, and even the WB, for Nigeria ensure free education to all children. Corruption is bad everywhere in Nigeria and the situation you explain above is in no way unique to the Northern states or situation. However, this problem is of NATIONAL concern at this point . . . 15000 people have been hacked/burned to crisp since 1999, and it is sensible for international community, and Nigerians alike to call on the Federal Government to act NOW, not later on. The Federal Government has the resources and capabilities -- the poor in society are Nigerians as well and so entitled to emergency help from the Federal Government.
How much time ? Shall we wait for the next round of killing before these stupid schools are shut down?

What a damn shame. LagosShai please stop trying to explain Islam to us. Actions speak louder than words. There is plenty of evidence around the world that there is a problem why not address that instead of justifying the unjustifyable!
PoliticsRe: Almajiris - Nigeria's Ticking Time Bomb by LadyT(f): 9:21am On Apr 24, 2011
First step all these stupid useless satanic almajiris schools must be closed at once.  Any one found to either be running this type of school or sending their children to this type of school must be arrested.  They do no good a school where children are forced to beg before they can eat is a disgrace. These children need to be re educated to gain proper qualifications.  The FG has a massive job on its hands because there is no point in collecting qualifications where there are no jobs.
PoliticsRe: Almajiris - Nigeria's Ticking Time Bomb by LadyT(f): 9:03am On Apr 24, 2011
Look lets face it we in Nigeria have a problem with the Musilms in the north.  We cant deny it or sugar coat it! Shebi we have muslims in the south why dont we have the same issues.

There is a large majority of very silly and ignorant Muslims in the north of nigeria.  If we are to remain one action needs to be taken against these people I dont mean brute force, lost of life needs to be kept to those who are guilty.

Education is key but when you have silly people following a Boko Haram leader with TVs books and a computer in his house it really feels like we are fighting a losing battle.

They need to be educated so they can turn their anger on themselves that when their fellow Northen muslim brothers were in power nothing was done to help them! Maybe then the rest can have peace.
PoliticsRe: The Hausas (an Alternate Pespective) by LadyT(f): 10:58pm On Apr 21, 2011

Someone please answer angry

I agreed with the post because with everything listed that GEJ has done I know some people will still complain because they cant stand the man.
The fact that:

1)The Army spokesman was on NTA news, warning all miscreants that the army would defend democracy at all costs. Battle tanks and military convoys were shown traversing various areas of unrest.

2)Dusk to dawn curfews have been imposed on the 5 affected northern states TILL FURTHER NOTICE.

3)The police chief warned that his forces were fully mobilised to deal with hoodlums in all areas.

4)And then Jonathan himself appeared and made his statement condemning the violence and requesting that all political candidates rein in their supporters.

Some of you people who live abroad really make me wanna puke. You sit in America talking rubbish about things you know nothing about. You sit there just knowing Jonathan has ''done nothing''. Tell me, do you get any Nigerian news channels were you live? If you did (and watched them) you would see that EVERYTHING you claim he has not done, he HAS in fact done. The Army spokesman was on NTA news, warning all miscreants that the army would defend democracy at all costs. Battle tanks and military convoys were shown traversing various areas of unrest.

WHAT THE HELL MORE DO YOU WANThuh?

Sorry, but we have a civilized, educated person as president, not a thug, of the type you prefer.

President Goodluck Jonathan has reacted in the right way. His job as president is not to inflame the situation, not to come on TV spitting fire, and but to stabilize and calm the nation.
I think people just have blind hate for GEJ he cannot and should not use full force.

I agree we cant afford the loss of life that would occur if the army gets involved. But people need to be protected.  I really think its time those from the South move away from these animals.  There is no proof that only southerns and Non m u s l i m s voted for GEJ. So Buhari should really call these inbred animals to order.  Him keeping quiet means he is in total support of what is going on.
