seunmsg:Are you going to make a vote decision for a candidate based on structure or based on the belief that, this is the guy you truly believe can make the change you deserve?? Not structure, not tribe, not religion, not money but a simple believe that this chap am voting for , am convinced he will make a change regardless of whether he is poor or rich, from my ethnic extraction or not, practices my religion or don't have any. The difference, the structure, the change is that singular vote of yours. PERIOD. It's a big lie that our votes don't count. It dose. The change we seek is is our hands. Think about what your counselor, local government chairman, house of assembly member, house if representative member, senator or your governor has done for you or your family or community despite the fact that they are from same community, LGA, state, same tribe, same language or religion. For the most part little or nothing. That is why these sentiment don't work, don't matter and should not determine who you vote. There is honor in casting your vote for whom you believe in, even if he loses, after all you wil not gain a thing voting the wrong guy in. |
I thought Tinubu has no chance as suggested by you. You can see politics is not social media stuff. Though not my candidate, but i do not demonstrate knowledge when you are totally ignorant of something. [ Same old same old. This is same way you guys sold Buhari to Nigerians. The result is evident. Although Tinubiu might not be like Buhari but might be a different version of the same like. Nothing will significantly change. Same old play Why don't we all make a radical break from all these people......Atiku, Tinubu and the rest. |
madridguy:Why are you doing this Because you sincerely believe it or you are working for the pay or because he is from your tribe or religion?? Are you happy with the way the country has been run?? This man and many of his likes midwifed this government to that has brought terror and misery to his people Do you do this out of a good conscience or for the fee. I hope you live in Nigeria with your family. Not your family in UK. Us or Canada and you are here doing this for the money and the potential benefit it will bring you at the detriment of the country. |
ebbo:Then encourage them to vote. If we vote a wrong person, people will suffer more. The suffering is not selective. It will affect everyone, one way or another. Those that collected money will find out that the money they collected can't lift them out of there current level - due to inflation and more poor people around them, they have to support. If you are promised position you will discover that men are different why they come to power. If you don't know ask Mr. Tinubu. Lets just shun all these support for looters and take back our country. |
ZombieTAMER:Obi dose not need anybody. He only needs Nigerians who truly believe in his agenda and can trust him. This falsehood that "your vote won't count" or " you need God father to win" or " you must come.from the north" should stop. It's all false. All we need is a good Patriot that loves his country......not an Huasa, Igbo, Yoruba or Ijaw man but a good man that wants his country to be better. Say NO to Ethnic Politics, Religious Politics......it has not helped any. State governors, House rep and senators do not advance the place they come from, they steal their resource and only use tribe and religion as step stones to get to the position they aim. Don't be deceived. |
Entprys:So are you saying, it's okey if the victims were igbo?? |
SATANICALLY:When all these attacks and senseless killings intensified during the early days of Buhari s administration, the president or the presidency and El rufia in particular played it down- mainly because a larger part of the society considered the attacks were executed by people from there enthnicity. They at the time felt it was their patriotic act to defend their people at all cost. Today, this has walloped the entire north and have spread to every part of the country. There is no justification for evil. Can we imagine the lives that have been lost under the watch of Buhari...both christians and moslems, from the north, south, east and west. Both young and old, educated and uneducated, free and slave, poor and rich, powerful and weak, politicians and the masses etc. Say no to bad governance.Vote a good man ...regardless of the name of God he calls on, where he lives or which language he speaks. You will get more value from him than your brother, your imam, pastor or local ruler |
ArewaNorth:Despite the poor performance of Buhari government, APC might end up being a better more progressive, human and more rational party than PDP will ever be. If they pull this through it will show they are thinking of the country's future and despite zoning not being enshrined in their constitution, have demonstrated strong confederate behaviour than any of the political party. |
SATANICALLY666:Since the north is fixated on maintaining power and the south is also and might have it becos of the political landscape. It might be better to let each region form their own government and elect their own leaders. That way north can continue to rule themselves, same for east, west etc |
Metrix147:A wasted state since 1999. It appears Orji kalu is the bad agmonst the worse I think Abia citizen should vote for people and not party. The most credible candidate Amy as well be the ex- banker Alex Oti |
One of the most foolish thing to do is to kill for a God you claim created all, it's all powerful, it's all merciful, it's omnipotent, it's omniscience etc. Stop and think. For a minute? Why didn't God kill the person himself?? The true test of of true religion lies in mercy, grace, long suffering, love, peace, patient, kindness, tolerance, forgiveness, esteem and value of others as much or better than yourself. Any religion that do not exalt these values is dead and wholly evil. |
Jay5mie:Really Peter Obi and Osibanjo are perhaps the only credible candidates. But the big question is...will Nigerians have the courage to jointly demand for any of these two or will they succumb under the cloak of attacks of tribalism, religion and party affiliation or share selfishness. Otherwise, Obi might represent the man for this time |
Oxb90:Again some folks have converged on this forum to promote Tinubu, same very method they did in 2014/2015. One post, many likes and shares. Guys, please evaluate the candidates on your own merit and make an independent decision. Don't allow social media arranged likes and support comments persuade you. Think about the propaganda force of 2015 and compare it with the state of the country . Do not vote for party. Vote for people you are convinced have your best interest and of the nation at heart. Don't vote for supports opinion. They are simply fighting for their interest and will forget you |
Truthisunique2:Why Port Harcourt to Medu the old narrow guage? This line passed through the east. Why don't you like your people ![]() A list for politics. Hopea people are wiser now |
dre11:Lying is right. I googled and found he is correct. I also found that they have free education where children are feed twice and provided with school supplies free. Actually their parents were paid some money depending on how many kids they have in school from unutilized budget for school supplies and feeding while kids were at home. Also found out that they have free medical care. Citizens didn't have to bother about health care for aged parents, children, siblings, friends etc I found that folks were paid some money during covid pandemic. No hording of relief material or collecting people's data with the hope they will be paid and end up paying only probably less than 10% Also found out they paid old and retired folks their pension- making it easy for children to leave a better life without bothering about parents upkeep, medicare, friends and loved ones well being. I actually found out many more good stuff as much as some bad stuff but it appeared that Mr mohammed only compared the bad stuff ONLY. |
The comments in this post clearly reflects the state of the country. Wonder why the country is in a taste mess? then consider the comments on the post and observe how folks justify the husband's a d the side chick action by the size of the woman, by the fact that the governor was selected by supreme.court and by the reasoning that the father is stealing state fund and by the assertion that the father did the same etc. Meanwhile no one wants to be cheated regardless of the circumstance. Troubling Leaders are to large extent a reflection of the people Let's not change the leaders, let's change ourselves. |
Gainman:This is world politics and a quest for dominance. All major powers have done this at one time or another and still dose in less confrontational way when they can. France hold on the Franco fone countries, British emparialsm. . In the past the US has a foreign policy to remove any government with policy not favorable to the US. And that included invading that country. The last one was panama. President Nuraga. The US and all world major powers do the same. China hold on Taiwan and hong kong. They did that by every means.....coup, plane crash, economic sabotage, civil war, pseudo democratic election and install who they wish, sanction etc. That appears a more modern civilized way to do what Putin is doing today after US changed that policy. A case in point is the Moslem brotherhood in Egypt. A democraticatically elected government was over thrown by sisi a military general who later removed his uniform contested election and won. Continued to get about $4bn in military aid from the US while keeping the leaders of the brotherhood and Aljarera jonalist jailed. Iraq is another one which George bush has not forgiven himself. Invaded a country on the guise of stockpile of nuclear weapon and found nothing while the country remains in trouble till today. Meanwhile the bomber of 9/11 were from Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. Can the press discuss the Minsk agreement. What was in those two agreements.?? NATo, Ukraine and Russia should sit down and sought this out. NATO wants to curb Russia and if possible destabilize it to take stem it's threat on Europe, Ukraine wants a good life not monitored by Russia, Russia is afraid of NATO being at their back yard and what that will mean for their existance. All parties have an interest. The peace lies in accommodating these interest to some degree |
DoctorOlasDesk:Calm down. Because he didn't agree with your point of view doesn't make him all that. Keep in mind that people and country take action in their best interest...whatever they are. Ukraine working to better their country by considering more alliance with the west be it EU or NATO. Russia protecting themselves from percieved NATO encroachment. Keep in mind NATO was formed to protect the west against Russian invasion and dominance. Similar action US did when Soviet Union sought to establish a base in Cuba during the cold war. Russia might have made less progress because they may not evaluated the extent of NATO involvement in Ukraine..., only to discover they are fighting aganist NATO......equipment and proxy soldiers in Ukraine uniform. Complex case. I hope Ukraine don't end up like Syria.....where these world powers play a game of might and leave the place devastated at grave human cost |
WATCHOVER:Do you really mean what you wrote or it's a joke and a metaphor ![]() |
moralistic:Yes I know. You are right. In the book confession of an economic hit am, CIA planted bombs in aircraft conveying some latin America leaders who rose up against them and wanted their people to be less dependent on america. It's a complex wind of politics, economic interest and dominance,, self preservation and national interest |
jesmond3945:Thanks for providing am alternative view to most folks who depend on western media fire news. They create the narrative most people speak. Please guys research and get alternative view. The CNN, BBC, AJ opinoin is all over the lace |
moralistic:So the west led by France took him out for their interest and created the crises in the Sahel region today including Boko Haram. How about Saddam Hussein. The west claimed that he had nuclear weapon and killed and raided and raped Iraq and abandoned it...all for it's interest and created the crises in that region including the emergence of ISIS Thee learning is every civilization take action in their best interest regardless of what you feel and the consequence of that action. Russia is doing the same. All of them do. No exception |
ivolt:Simple...prevent Ukraine from joining NATO, the same way USA made sure Russia did not build a base in Cuba and Chinese support for Noth Vietnam and North Korea helped them win the war and drove out USA and France Forget all west rn propaganda through CNN, BbC, AJ etc any sensible nation will defend themselves against enemy incursion. You would at any cost, otherwise you will be eaten |
muykem:Yes. Abia government is horrible. The most irresponsible government the south east has seen. The guys are simply clueless with no direction and have continued to misappropriate public funds - thinking that brings lasting riches. Let's see what happens to them when they leave governace |
dre11:Sounds untrue. All the governor's can afford bullet proof cars. If the guy has an ambition for 2023, it's within his right to do that just like any other Nigerian. At least he is far better than the folks we have |
This guy has been an exceptional governor. He may have his rough edges and might not be that polished but he has transformed port Harcourt from a village city to a more metropolitan city. Each weekend trip to PHC is a new experience Good job. If previous administration did this much and tackled security ...the loss of port Harcourt would not have led to the emergence of Lekki Lagos Amaexhi got distracted with his palavar with Jonathan and Patience Abia state governor should learn how to govern from Wike |
Only if you thought everyone should have a face book, Twitter or other social media account I don't have any |
Talk2david1:How do you know they make 70million a term What is your pay roll? Do you know if they have loans to pay? What is the school operating cost per term- salaries, taxes, facility maintenance cost etc Schools fees are discounted for some people. Have collected all the fees?? |
PrinceOfLagos: |
Perhaps the worst governor in the country quote author=HenryDion post=106047837]Thank you for this thread. Wait for my narration... This happened opposite Ndume Otuka secondary school, along this so-called ikot Ekpene road. Due to the poor state of the road, I stayed away from Keke-napep and boarded a bus. As the driver was moving, swerving through the swampy pool that has become the road. Then it happened. I watched as the Keke in front slowly tilted to one side, and in a second, it got submerged, both driver and passengers, drank a mouthful, and I happened to witness it all from my front seat. The occupants, two big boys, and ajebutter girl. They all crawled out from the Keke, covered in mud as people gather to witness the situation. Thanks to some able-bodied men, the Keke was dragged out, but the day have been ruined. Imagine one that starched his shirt, and the other was draining water from his bag. Documents ruined. Ikpeazu is yet to finish Abia state...
|
Yankee101:This is not correct. I have always struggles with why that market is there. A total mess. Imagine the mess and the reputation it gives the state .......being near international companies with a lot of expatriates....... Schlumberger, halliburton, Baker Hughes, coca cola ...all close to that mess and smelly zone. Let celebrate the governor's will to get things like this done. Although he may have acquired it for himslef. Still in my view better than having that market there. The next thing Wike government need to do is clean up the state. It's dirty. He is building a lot of roads but not cleaning them. He needs to employ people to sweep the road |
Because you sincerely believe it or you are working for the pay or because he is from your tribe or religion??
