muykem:Yes you will. Most definitely |
tiger28:Go and read comments in 2014 and 2015 . I am sure you will calibrate your comments. You seek to make this tribal while it is not. If you still live in Nigeria and watch people suffer and still make these tribal comments. It's a pity Obi and Yusuf movement is not ibo but what the people seek. Stop making it tribal |
Esama:This is no Obi ambition but the desire, the struggle , the objective of many young Nigerians whose future has been decimated by these mean, selfish, clueless political bigots who have squandered the treasures of this country without a conscience nor consideration for the youth or anyone else other than them. Look at the country today. People are running away in droves. Families are suffering. Insecurity everywhere. Supporting any of these old folks by any means is Insanity. These youths desire to make a change and that change will happen. And if obi messes them up they will vote him out. They desire to take back their country. And this has nothing to do with their tribe, religion or language. Obi might be an uncertain success and is not the saviour but it's always better to try something new than stick to a certain failure. Our parents have hoped for better Nigerian abut it has gotten worse in their life time ruled by the people that now offer themselves. This movement is more than Obi and yusuf. Much more than them. It's the rising of a new order. A new beginning. What else can these old folks give at this point of their life. Nothing. They will give what they had gives us this 23years. |
[quote author=ArcSEMPECJ post=115425470]Hmmm, the only sane question I have spotted so far,...hope the Bishop can answer this question ..... If Deborah was mobbed because of blasphemy against Allah.... Then is Allah not also the God of Christians ![]() ![]() Any God that commands and makes you feel obligated to fight for him or kill for him is no god. I can't imagine how people could be so delusional and naive to think you can fight for God while at the same time believing God is all powerful, all knowing, Omni present, etc and created the person you are killing. THINK!? True test of any religion or God......if you have to fight for your God or kill for him while at the same time believing that same god created you and all human kind - then know you are serving the wrong god. Instead you are the god in that case.....killing unbelievers or blaspmers ?God like good parents never kills his owe, he fight for them and they hold their peace,, He is accommodating, forgiving, not wishing any should parish but they should come to repentance, always reaching out to help and draw them close inspite of their failings etc No one that ever built a thing, would want it distroyed |
life2017:Oh ...it's from the Nations newspaper and online Media. So the news is expected. It's part of the ground plan. He is BAT's priest - speaking for his Master. And that is his right and choice.. I think he should better say that than bring God into it |
candidtalk: ![]() ![]() ? |
iwaeda:Before you believe this gentleman, verify the promises made in 2014/15 and 2019. I guess they lack the capacity to execute this. It is not in their hands as we have seen in this government. |
Maxymilliano:This chap is serving his master who owes the news print he works for. Anyway for working folks it means managing your boss to earn a promotion. Your tire belief will earn you nothing. It's tough to keep quiet or look the other side when you boss needs the service he knows you can render. So his comments are expected. My advice is just like this chap is working for his self benefit don't align your future to his option as he has made no provision for that. Make an independent decision on election day and vote who can bring the change you desire- knowing that it is better to elect a potential success than vote a certain failure with good evidence of failed structures |

Peacemaker5128:It's rediculous that in Nigeria one of the qualification for presidential opportunities is marring multiples wife's. Little value for women |
SATANICALLY:Similar event happened in 2019 on election day somewhere in Lagos. Thugs invaded a polling station and destroyed ballot papers, carried away ballot boxes and attacked the people. The country has a big problem |
edosignature:They know the value? Infact it's an intelligent decision. Use 3days holiday to gain 4 years influence and control. Get more federal allocation that pays the 3 days. |
FullBlastLight:And no southern state has done the same I think about 3 Northern state has done this![]() |
Lurdmax10:Perhaps the unsaid reason is that given the tribal nature of Nigerian politics, Wike is a bad fit for Atiku. In my view he took a Niger Delta guy from Ibo extraction with the hope of winning votes from both south south and south east. It's as they say a political calculation. Wike had made an open comment I read somewhere that he is not ibo despite ikwerre his ethnic people speak an extraction of ibo language and could be cousins. That statement and the fact he said that he is not looking to be vice president and some not very considerate comments he made about Atiku during the primaries might have been a strong argument for Atiku to come to that determination. |
Olojuobinrin:Sure. They come out in mass and some influencial politician or religious leader will channel them to give a block vote to either someone from the north or a moslem or both without care for what the guy has to offer. Wonder they have stop to think, what have we benefitted voting for these people other than poverty, insecurity and illetracy. It is much the same in many part of the country. Vote is made along religious and tribal lines. But the poverty and death walloping the country knows no tribe or religion. It is hitting the country hard and many are headed outside the country by any means possible. Wonder why ain't they staying back to rip the reward of their poor decisions This the eastern part of the country and maybe Lagos, Port Harcourt and Abuja might be wiser. Those folks from the eastern is considered less politically aware but I think that is mainly because of the lack of interest in politics which they now bear the brunt but more importantly, these folks have a different attitude to politics...only voting where their interest is ...not dorminated by tribe or religion. They have 5 states governed by 3 political parties at nealy in equal proportion. 2 APC, 2 PDP and 1 APGA. If Nigeria vote like these folks without recourse to tribe or religion the country might be headed to a good ground. If the people of the North can make a statement with their vote by voting differently, they will be better off. |
ExplorerReturns:Is this another 2015 ??... Propaganda, lies deciet, frame ups, fake news etc |
hisexcellency34:Obasanjo administration had it's failures but which government thereafter compares to it?? Many moved back home as the economy was blossoming. Some say Musa Yaradua......well yes but that is what we would have said if Buhari had not been elected. In my estimation within the boundaries of what I know today and from hindsight, barring the precedent it would have set, the country may have been far better off with a third term than what we have today. He is evidently and comparatively a better president than all his successors. |
Reality3080:It won't be a bad idea to hear others throw the figures and numbers too, so we can know who is right and abreast with the challenges. Data speaks We longer want to hear....we will build roads, ...we will bring employment and growth, we will build this and that and pay this and that....based on zero knowledge and data about the problems |
Truthisunique2:Same way you chose Buhari and the impact on the North this past years. You don't like the people of the North and Moslems. You don't Just turn around and see the North everywhere scattered like sheep without Shepard and you do not feel empathy for them. Some say they brought it on themselves. And you want to continue that way and with this sentiment?? Buhari is North. His cabinet is dorminated by the North, the North and Moslems control everything yet the North is decimated. Go ahead keep making decisions based on this mindset of tribe and religion. |
[quote author=etokhana post=114716049] welcome Daddy. That is how this older generation keep enslaving themselves, continue to show lack of dignity and self value. This behavior is different from respect. It is sycophancy. Still wonders how grown up men will be calling their mate, daddy simply because he makes more money than they do. Anyway, they are right. He is older than over 90% of the country and yet wants to rule that same people with the mindset, ideology and worldview of the past. |
pacespot:You are right. That's is why the steal. It's really an investment. Again, you may be underestimating the amount of money politicians invest but it's worth the investment when they win. I give you some number view... It's believed the politicians paid delegates about $25k to $50k per delegate. Assuming that is true, he will need about $7.5million to pay just 150 delegates at $50k/delegate. If you multiply that by N620/$. That gives you a number picture. So you see the 5billion is already expended at the earliest stage but they paid more than 150 delegates. APC had more than 2000 delegates. Electronic Billboard advertising ost an average of N75k per day. Calculate for 200 days across states, cities etc. |
VirileNelly2420:Obi is a Nigerian. What about him being ibo. What dose that matter. He is perhaps the most credible of the lot. I will rather see a credible disqualifying argument than his tribe. A man gets to come from somewhere. He might be better than your state governor that is from your state, tribe, language and religion. Would you rather vote an incompetent man simply because he speak your language, comes from your tribe and attends your place of worship, even when he will make you poorer or create conditions that could kill you as we have seen in ISWA, bandits, herdman etc. Keep in mind these deaths involves moslems and christians, hausa, ibo and Yoruba. The deaths is not tribalistic or religious. Keep in mind, this government is dorminated by the North. Would you say that it is well with North today?? Would you say they have had more prosperity, better security, better health system, better human development? What would you say the North have had other than having people in top leadership position in the country. According to Sanusi the ex CBN governor, a significant part of the North would be living in abject poverty If they are not part of Nigeria. They removed him because he speaks truth to power in the North Throw away this tribal politics. Vote a good man where ever you can find him......he is not Hausa, neither is he Ibo, he is not Yoruba or Ijaw or iglla, efik or tiv......he is simply a good man Relatively Obi might be that good man in this lot of contestants. You may want to vote him. |

dre11:Amongst many arguments for voting this folks into government in 2015, was that the president is an ex- military chap and will tackle insecurity. We all bought with good conscience that narrative and really believed he could do so. BUT THIS AGAIN JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER THING FAILED. We now all wish to be taken back 10years ago in term of everything - economy, security, infrastructure, corruption, welfare, unity of the nation etc. They have worsened or literally collapsed. The question is, why should we even listen to APC and PDP. They constitute without any exception the body of people who kept the country this way. Flew into Lagos and was hit by this stench of humid horrible smell at the nations premier airport. Roof leaking and they had bucket to collect the water. I could not believe the state of the conveyor that our bags where on. Horrible. It is unconscioneable for anyone with good conscience and faith in this country to campaign for any of these people of the old order in these parties. They may, but it's our collective responsibility to make the change we desire, we don't leave our lives in the hands of these people, that we determine the course our country takes...... I SAY NEVER AGAIN. NO NEVER......Remember it is better to take a chance at an uncertain success than to embrace a proven and sure failure. They have failed all of us .....not a tribe, not a religion, not a language but all of us.....home and away. |
Jack500:It is not wholesome thinking to say 2023 for south West. This might mean that anyone from south West should emerge leader regardless of any other thing. What matters is where he comes from... You might want to ask North west, east and central how they have fared this 8years. The president is from that part of the country . They might have fared better during Good luck who is a thousand kilometers away from them. Stop tribal, religious politics it has not helped anyone in this country.....Less the people that belongs to the league of bad leaders who plunder the country. Friends, siblings and relatives who live abroad and send tonnes of money to keep their family and friends afloat live in a country ruled by someone who is not from their ethnic back ground, nor their religion or speak their language but the good government in those countries had guaranteed that they have enough to live on and spare to send to their loved ones in Nigeria. While those in this country still suffer despite having their tribes man in government. Think about these things. |
God1000:Hope he learns from the experience of his Kingsman Amaechi. They have forgotten Amaechi after his contribution to grow the party and now chasing after Wike. Hope Wike is wiser. Most likely will be like AMAECHI in a few months if he yields. Are these the kind of people we allow to rule us?? Who has no morale, no conviction, or guiding principles ...... All they seek for is to be in power by any means and squander the common wealth of the country. This is only what unites them and nothing more.......not tribe, not religion, not culture, not language or creed but to devour our common wealth. PERIOD. LET BE WISER AND DO AWAY WITH THESE PEOPLE. |

SmartPolician:Lagos is welcoming to all regardless of tribe, creed, language or religion. The natives should be appreciated. It's an age long culture though some wants to politicize it. Also keep in mind, that it has benefitted more than any state being the capital and the massive investment of the federal government with monies that was made from other states. Same is Abuja today. But I will never down play the reconciliatory culture of it's people. They are accepting and shows conservatrate behavior By the very nature if it's position, federal capital for many years, access to the sea and it's people, it is what it today. But don't forget that not only the easterners live here. Everybody comes here but it appears the east has made the most benefit. They may have also made huge sacrifice. Inorder words Lagos may have benfited from the hard work and enterprise of this people as much as Lagos has offered them.. it's mutual. They have the industry and Lagos provided the conducive environment. |
jmoore:This is just inciting. The same way it happened in 2015. When I was growing up, we all heard ABA as an industrial zone. We heard made in ABA or ABA make. It was about the same time we also heard made in Taiwan and later we started hearing made in China. Today those places are far industrialized and their product dorminate the market across the globe. Where is ABA make??. Dead. Bad government by same old folks vying for positions today killed it How many more will they kill. Honestly struggle to know how people survive in Nigeria |
jmoore:While not excusing the outburst and attacks we have seen from the youths, it's a very clear indication of the level of frustration they face. Imagine being in school and not sure when you will graduate and the government gives not a hoot. Imagine graduating and can't get a job and still depend on parents and friends imagine having firends, brother, sister or parent sick and no healthcare. Imagine the killing everywhere and no security. This election is an opportunity for them to find expression and it appears that anyone that say anything just anything in defence of the old order is the enemy. It's a huge mistake to think this is tribal or ipob as some may want to libel it. It is not. It is the collective outburst of most Nigerians who feels these failures over the years After all, the northern youth seems to have born the brunt of this failure in government more. Displaced from their home and farm, out of school, they are in the south begging. This affects all Nigerian. Everyone. And you think they are happy?? Would I blame them ?. No. Am I asking them to be a bit more controlled, absolutely YES. But you cannot rule out the suffering and pain people are going through unless you don't live in Nigeria or you are damn right insensitive or you are rewarded by status quo or in the pay roll of these old political parties Unfortunately, psychology tells you that when people are frustrated and angry they become largely uncontrolled or shut in. This is going to increase unless there is good government. And a small spark can set the nation ablaze. The french people came to this point before the french revolution, same with the Arab spring. We must make a change to the new order. Let's do away with these old politicians APC and PDP. Let's try something new. Did you listen to the news today? Did you hear about the killings? It has become normal. The news messes up your mind set. |

naptu2:Unfortunately, some are making this a tribal struggle. It is not. It's all about the desire for real change and competence. Think about the performance of your state governor, senator, house of rep member, house of assembly, local government chairman, counselor...... Where are they from?? From another tribe or religion or language ? Why did they perform badly??They are from same religion, same tribe, same language, but they did badly to their own people and land because they are either thieves or they are incompetent or they are just bad or the combination of all or any of the above. A good man, a competent man from the moon with no religion will do better regardless of his language, tribe, creed, or religion. After all christians visit Dubai and Abu Dhabi and love it. Moslems visit London, Paris, New York, Soule etc and love it Don't never ever vote because of these sentiments. Buhari is from the north but he has not helped his people. They are all in the south begging and seeking for better life. Their farms are decimated, their parents, wards and siblings killed. They have no livilihood. Yet the president and commander in chief is from the north, from that state and local government. They are the poorest region in this country despite they having held power more than any tribe or region. It even appears that the region that have not being in power since independence is the most properous. So you see tribe, religion and language do not count but a good man is only what you need. |
