Islam › Re: God and Allah: Are they the same? by lagerwhenindoubt(m): 10:33am On Jan 08, 2006
certainly not.. though they both rely on faith, praise and worship.. followers of one are richer than the other..
while god's people kill with sophisticated weapons, immorality and economic degradation, allah's people simply scream allahu akbar and slit your throat like a chicken.

God and Allah may have similar histories.. both laying claim to creating adam and giving abraham his first woody.. but that is where the similarities end...

No grammar context or language translation can equate God to Allah or vice versa. seems they have been at the center of most of the worlds crisis lately

Get this... there is no trinity.. there is God, there is Jesus and there is teh Holy Spirit.. and they are one in spirit (I mean one in their Vision and mission).. a lot of christians becloud their intelligence by claiming what God did not say. When John Baptized Jesus, God looked down and was pleased and the Holy spirit descended like a dove on Jesus...

Unless he has a psychotic schitzo with a split personality, i do not think he would go through such dramatic lengths to prove he really was pleased with Jesus.
Christianity Etc › Re: The NBC ban of unverified TV miracles in Nigeria by lagerwhenindoubt(m): 10:18am On Jan 08, 2006
I am a recipient of some miracles myself.. no doubt they exist, the fact that i am alive today is a miracle. death must be envious after trying several times to get me to kick the bucket.

anyway.. I think miracles should be done like Jesus Christ did.. do not publicise it, just tell them to thank God and repent..

I personally do not take it too kindly to Pastors wearing jerry-curls and reeking of perfume and talking all about prosperity and monies and stealing the wealth the devil owns with constant binding and casting.
Christianity Etc › Re: Pastor Adeboye Says Satan Planned 49 Plane Crashes by lagerwhenindoubt(m): 9:57am On Jan 08, 2006
God answers prayers.. usually before it is too late?

sad it had to do with people passing on with great pain (cause i hear it was on fire for quite a while and people died because help was late in showing up as usual)

But really it was our fault...
Good things happen, Bad things happen and most times... nothing happens..
If we say when good things happen, God answered our prayers and When Bad things happen, the Devil was watching. quite obvious that when nothing happens, its our fault..

Nothing happened was what caused the plane crash, poor policies, poor management, poor minds and a whole lot of sin was going on in the aviation industry and we did nothing.. you do not need a prophesy to tell you what will happen next, twas just a matter of time.

Kids and Pastor Bimbo?, now that hit me on the wrong spot, God watched those Bastards at the NFA fly back and forth wasting the nations monies to attend meetings that resulted in missing out in the world cup. He also guarded the politicians as they went to one congress after the other.. but went to sleep when his best babe in the preaching circles and a whole lot of kids he loves very much plunge to their deaths.... don't think so...

Pastors are like politicians, they can mobilise a whole bunch of important people with just a few words on the microphone.. I would think they could be using that with positive effect rather than superstitions... Let me make one prophecy..right here

Nigeria shall not win the Nations Cup 2006.. will even go further to tell you how far they will go, they shall not make it to the quarter final.. how's that for a prophecy and no amount of prayers can forestall the inevitable.. cause we did nothing.

I shall surely touch him. In fact, I shall re-touch him with photoshop. Haba why?

In this day and age with all the technology and internet aplenty, my Pastor is going about prohesing (forgive the spelling, i have had no use for the word for a long while now) 2006 and plane crashes.

If i recall properly, miracles and signs and wonders are for the faithless. So are prohecies, aimed at causing JJC christians into believing that God exists. Even with the Latest BMW 3 series roving the streets, Nna men that car na from heaven.

I thank uncle sege for keeping our dramatist pastors in check (save for political brainwashing going on, pastors were almost eroding reality from the minds of Nigerians)

Small time now you will need scratch card to listen to Sermon.

Computers › Re: Highest download rate possible? by lagerwhenindoubt(m): 4:04pm On Jun 06, 2005
Your topic is not vague.. i am not IT savvy, but have a VSAT solution by our (usually) leading ISP.

BOTTOM LINE (the rest is story)

I have tried 7 "leading" ISPs in Nigeria, and payed over N180,000 monthly, you will never get beyond 20kbps regardless of the method, Radio, VSAT, Dialup. they claim to give you broadband but you end up with snailway traffic. they collect your monies and charge you per byte of download besides charging you monthly access.

Like all Niajans all I can do is complain and hope Virgin does VSAT or starts providing internet services.

The following suck (in case you are thinking of them)
1: DirectonPC
2: Accelon
3: Siotel
4: Linkserve
5: Hyperia
6: Emperiom Networks
7: HEIRS Technologies

I have used the above for critical work, and though they promise heaven, all i am getting is hell+ more.

I am supposed to be doing 256up/256down on my Dell Desktop. I believe this is meant to be the "quickest" Naija standards. I am paying a huge sum monthly because I use GIS to do my work, unfortunately i never get to do 256kbps. instead I get 10 or 12 at most.

Brother, they may advertise "broadband is real" and tell you stories, you will never get the kind of speeds I arrogantly snubbed while in Nevada for $40 per month. (my dial up is a lot cheaper and faster than my VSAT package in Nigeria.
