This sad to say, but we all registered 8 months ago and we havent heard a thing from them ever since. I believe the recruitment might have been cancelled. I believe we all should take our minds off it

I may look unsympathetic, but there are some stories that never faze me even when it looks like the subjects of the stories have gone through a lot. The greatest challenge anyone can ever face is health issues, and I mean serious chronic health issues. Anyone saying how he has suffered due to no finance but he still has good health is still in luxury as far as I am concerned. I have been an accident victim that left me in different teaching hospitals in Nigeria and abroad for a combined duration of over 6 months and over 3 years to recuperate, and having done over 10 major surgeries with each taking over 8 hours. Those months, feeding, bathing, taking me to the toilet and cleaning me up was done by my mother. Of course, my girlfriend who I was supposed to marry ran away. I lost my job that paid me about 200k monthly. Up till this moment, man is still single, because my present hustling is basically a survival job. All my mates are married with kids. I even still have some mild physical deformities I struggle with everyday, and the medical aspect of the NNPC recruitment scares me even if I get APL. But I’m cool, and I have accepted that life cannot always be what we want. During my hospital admission days, I wished I was even an uneducated almajiri person with no degree but with good health. I admired anyone who walked by with his 2 feet and 2 hands, complete and functional. But the funny thing is that while I was on admission, I even saw worse cases in my wards that made my own look like a joke. There was a guy that had 2 legs amputated above the knee, and he pooped on the bed. There was another guy who had his hand about to be amputated and the other hand had serious fractures. A boy had snake bite and got his hand amputated.

All I’m saying is that financial issues only become a thing to deeply worry yourself about when you don’t have a deep understanding of life. That’s why when people come here praying for APL like their whole life depends on it, I laugh! There are other blessings in life you already have that you are taking for granted. On your spare time, take a trip to the A & E of any government hospital. If I had done this before my accident, I wouldn’t have complained about life like I foolishly did that time even with a 200k salary. You don’t have to be like me before you understand life. Take that trip now.

Thanks 4 sharing ur story though. However, who suffer pass or suffering is never a competition. And because ur suffered something like that doesnt mean u shouldnt show empathy towards somebody that had just a scratch on his leg... dont let what you go through make u lose ur empathy. What I have is in Bayelsa and it would be most suited for someone with whose background is Electrical (at least engineering). It gives the person opportunity to make very little earning and, IMPORTANTLY, get some on-field experience.

This country is so messed up. You wonder if those at the helms of affairs are actually sane. Humongous amount of money are being spent on frivolities while the important sectors are left to decay. A project worth #5M will be given out at the rate of #25M for obvious reason: Principal, procurement officer, burser et al will have their shares.

The painful thing is, in the midst of 'wastage', the debt profile of the country still continue to increase. This country not going anywhere as it is, right now.

He has not had any job since he finished nysc at 25years and has been managing to teach home lessons to sustain himself. He cannot apply for gt roles now because most require one to be at most 25 or 26years old. He overheard his uncles mocking his dad for wasting his money in sending him to a private school with nothing to show for it. The dude drank sniper recenly but didn't die. I am now housing him and hoping good fortune from nnpc will smile on him. The guy is a academically ok. Graduated with cgpa of 3.78.

Inside life. I av said it dat sum people situation are worst. God is still in control, He will heal anything that is broken in us.. And may God keep and show his goodness upon ur friend and d rest of us. This country get as he be. Just read that Buhari has approved 100million dollars to renovate national assembly. The mansions that top footballers like messi, ronaldo, neymer, mbappe, modric, beckham and some more put together are living are not as expensive as d renovation money.

You might not know when but you will be fine. We all have our stories. I would suggest if possible to acquire on the side skills for freelancing jobs say on fiverr or Upwork. You won't regret it.

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved N37 billion for the renovation of the National Assembly complex.

The amount, which is included in the 2020 budget, is however not part of the N128 billion allocated for the National Assembly for next year.

The money is instead part of the 2020 budget of the Federal Capital Development Administration, the Senate president, Ahmad Lawan, told journalists in Abuja on Monday.

Mr Lawan said there has been no major renovation of the National Assembly building for 20 years and many parts of the property had become dilapidated.
“We met the president and (it was) related the condition of the complex,” he said.

“The president responded and said he was going to renovate the complex. The phase one renovation will commence – the chambers and committee rooms in the white house.

“N37 billion was sourced and was given. It was put under the FCT, not national Assembly. All we required is to have the complex renovated.

“When we are through with phase 1, we will go to phase 2. It is not under the control of the National Assembly. The complex is a national asset and is for the FCDA to take care,” he said.

In recent weeks, lawmakers have called for urgent renovation of the chambers where they hold plenary meetings.

A number of times, during plenary, senators have complained about malfunctioning microphones in the chamber.

This renovation comes at a time when Nigerians have accused members of the National Assembly of inflating the figures of the 2020 budget before passage.

I thought there would be fewer and fewer programmer in the future. Because a genius programmer can write good software code and others don't need to repeat the same work but improve the code to perfection. If the code is perfect, it could be copied.

I was wrong. There are more and more software code needs to be written. People in the middle age wouldn't be able to imagine a huge number of workers who can read and write continuously do that in the skyscraper. They are office workers and what on earth they read and write all day long? There used to be only a few people who needed reading and writing. Now only a few people cannot read in the civilized world.

I am not sure about the future, but we may need to know programming more. Not everybody will write great software, but at least they may need to write programs or be more logical to live a daily life.

I did something I really regret. My wife and I have an amazing marriage, 2 years of marriage and we are blessed with a 7-month-old baby girl.

She is 28 and I almost 33. Last Saturday I got invited to go out by some of my work friends , I got home late 2am, so madam wasn't happy. She was yelling at me, throwing hands and screaming at me. I ignored her and left the room to the living room but she followed me and I asked her to leave me alone but she kept going which made me angry.

I took the back of my hand and gave her a slap on the mouth. She cried out and held her face and started crying and her lips was bleeding. I didn't intentionally hurt her, I just wanted to calm her down since ignoring her was not working. I said sorry, and I was literally on my knees begging her. I tried to hold her but she refused.
The rest of the night was me repeating apology or i didn't mean to hurt you. She ignored me . She went into our room and locked the door.

She was in there for a long time and the next morning, her mother and older brother was at the house and she came out of the room with her and our baby stuff and she said she was leaving me for good. I told her how sorry I was but her mother told me to get out of their faces and they left the house.

I feel so ashamed and I've never done anything like this before and I never thought I would. I don't want to loose my wife and baby. I need both of them back. Should I attempt to contact her?

However, if the truth is wat u claimed here, and ur marriage has sincerely been a hapi one b4 dis saga, den i most say hitting ur wife no matter the circumstances is terribly wrong which according to ur post u regreted doing. Secondly, as a married man, u should av called ur wife informing her of ur outing and d fact u will be coming home very very late. Dont let dis unmarried people advicing u up and down confuse u, married people sometimes come home by 3am or the next day, however communication is paramont. Trust is important. Ur wife was absolutely wrong 4 shouting and nagging at u but as a husband u also married her weakness, i dont tink dis is d 1st time u will see her shout and nag and dis is definitely not the last time u will see her do dat and if u decide to get angry everytime she do dat, u will end up killing somebody child. The deed has been done so here is my advice. Early one morning, go and meet her people, apologise, promise never to do that again. After you have gotten ur wife home and safe. Talk to her one on one, apologize for coming late and inform her dat if anytin like dat ever cum up u will communicate and ask for her permission b4 going. And last but not the least, correct her, bringing her parent and packing out is not the answer to every problem.
