God, please forgive me and other Nigerians persecuting you for chaining your child, we never knew you had a genuine reason. Now that you gave your reason, the AIG involved would free you to be chained in prison.

Should the police looking for chain to appreciate you for your generosity on your child, I strongly recommend the chains at Slave trade museum at Badagry.

Man of God, enjoy your beans and pebbles in Eleweran and beyond......

Politics / I’m Being Prosecuted For Old Grievances – Dasuki by laidian(m): 3:49am On Jun 24, 2016
Embattled former National Security Adviser (NSA), Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd) has told a Federal High Court, Abuja, that he is being punished by some persons at the highest level of power in the country for perceived grievances they hold against him while in active military service many years ago.
He did not name any particular person.
In his reply to a motion by the government requesting for his secret trial, Dasuki told the court that he has rested his case in God for the ultimate judgment.
“It is crystal clear that the defendant (Dasuki) is being punished by the powers that be for the perceived offences committed long before… we leave them to the Almighty God for his ultimate judgment,” his counsel, Mr. Joseph Daudu said.
Dasuki who is facing charges before three different high courts for various allegations and was granted bail but was rearrested in last December. He has since been held incommunicado.
At the resumed trial yesterday, the Federal Government had approached the court, seeking secret trial of Dasuki who is facing charges of unlawful possession of firearms, money laundering and breach of trust.
In the fresh motion argued by the prosecuting counsel, Dipo Okpeseyi, government prayed the court to allow witnesses give evidence behind the screen to be provided by the court.
He held that the request hinged on the fact that Dasuki, as a former top security chief, has large loyalists across the country who may jeopardize the trial if done in the open.
But counsel to Dasuki opposed the request for secret trial arguing that it would breach the principle of fair trial.
He added that contrary to the position of the government, Dasuki could not be a threat to the witnesses as he has been in the custody of the federal government since December last year.
Dasuki argued that open trial is the minimum requirement in a criminal trial and as such, any attempt to opt for a secret trial in the instant case, which was not a capital offense will run contrary to Section 36 of the 1999 Constitution on fail trial.
The defence counsel, therefore, asked the court to discountenance the claim made by the prosecution on the issue of loyalty in the military circle, stressing that such claim was a mere speculation and not backed up by facts.
Justice Ademola fixed ruling and continuation of trial for September 13, 14 and 15.

Politics / Election Funding: I Stand By My Story – Fayose by laidian(m): 3:35am On Jun 24, 2016
Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, has reacted to the alleged denial of the involvement of a bank in the funding of his election in 2014, saying the bank should come out with an official statement on the matter.
The governor was reacting to a report in the media, claiming that the bank had dissociated itself from the funding of his election. Speaking through his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Idowu Adelusi, in Ado Ekiti on Thursday, the governor said, “I stand by my claim that Zenith Bank Plc majorly funded my election in June 2014.
He said he never expected an organisation like the bank to “stay in a corner in matter of national concern like this and be talking,” while demanding an “official statement not as feeble as this one being peddled in the media so that I can begin the second stage of my revelations. My statement was made in the open so I expect the institution to give official reply.”
He quoted John chapter 8 verses 6-7, which says, “This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not. When they continued asking him, he lifted up himself and said unto them, he that is without sin among you, let him cast the first stone. Let those who are orchestrating this know that failure awaits them.”

Culture / Obama To Honour Ooni Ogunwusi As NYC Declares Yoruba Day by laidian(m): 5:38am On Jun 11, 2016
The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, was on Friday hosted by the indigenes of Ile-Ife, Osun State, resident in the United States.

The monarch, with his entourage, was received at the J.F. Kennedy Airport, New York, by leaders of Ife indigenes and other Nigerians in the US on Thursday.

A New York City Senator, Kevin Parker, and the Brooklyn Borough President, Eric Adams, said the city had secured a proclamation to declare Monday, June 13, 2016 as Yoruba Day.

They said the action was to honour the monarch.

According to a statement, the Ooni has also been billed to visit President Barack Obama at the White House, where he will receive an award.

The statement added that a number of programmes had been scheduled to honour the traditional ruler while in the country.

As part of activities in his visit to the US, the Ooni will on Sunday, June 12, 2016, be the Special Guest of Honour at the prestigious Odunde festival.

The festival, which promotes the culture of the Yoruba race, was created in 1975 by Lois Fernandez and Ruth Arthur, and attracts about 500,000 people annually.

The event will provide an opportunity for the monarch to interact with the over 3,000 Ife indigenes in the US on how to develop Ile-Ife.

The statement said, “On the same day, the Museum of the Contemporary African Diaspora Arts will receive the monarch in a private reception as well as a public forum session.

“Expected at the event will be Brooklyn Borough President and a New York City Public Advocate, Leticia James. The monarch will then move to the Mid-West and other parts of the country to attend economic and leadership summits before being received by President Barack Obama through The White House Office of Faith-based and Neighbourhood Partnerships.”

The Chairman of the Grand Reception Planning Committee and one of the leaders of Ife Ooye North America group, Chief Olubunmi Awopileda, said, “All Ife natives in the US are excited and energised for this epochal occasion. It will be an occasion to showcase our very rich culture with our king as the symbol.”

Health / Ekiti Leads In Open Defecation In Nigeria by laidian(m): 8:26am On Feb 22, 2016
Ekiti State is believed to have the highest of persons who openly defecate in Nigeria About 1.8 million residents of the state out of a total population of 2.7 million is believed to engage in the menace.

In her presentation, a Community-led Total Sanitation (CLTS) facilitator and a staff of Rural Water Sanitation Agency in the state, Mrs. Lanre Ayeni, said 748 million of the global population, lack access to hygienic water supply.

She added it was so regrettable that 1.8 billion people still use contaminated sources of water, which she said has caused a lot of damage to their health and body systems.

“When you take a water that has contaminated by cheat (faeces), the person will have ten million viruses, one million bacteria and one hundred thousand parasite eggs in her body system.

“Advocacy for open defecation free in Ekiti and good water sanitation is yielding results. Enforcement in the past by CLTS coordinators had failed, what we now use is persuasion and people are gradually changing their perception about this concept.”

Mohsena, who disclosed that several achievements have been recorded through UNICEF/EU WASH programme in Ekiti, using Gbonyin and Ekiti West as pilot councils in advocacy for open defecation Free and WASH, said the two international organisations have been funding the programme and rendering technical supports.

“In Ekiti, an estimated number of 180,000 people are gaining access to good source of water through provision of hand pump boreholes. In the same way, 29,582 people in Ekiti have gained access to safe water through rehabilitation of 65 hand pumps in Gbonyin. 965 pupils from four schools now have access to child and gender friendly water supply.

“We have also bring improvement to 250 towns and communities in ODF by providing ten toilets per public. We have also provided technical supports in 313 communities, for them to know various ways to build and take ownership of low cost latrines and how to repair them in case of damage.

“Stakeholders would continue to step up sensitisation and advocacy in rural areas on the need to key into the total eradication of open defecation, to forestall breakout of diseases.”

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and European Union (EU) have lamented that over 2.5 billion people lack access to improved sanitation globally, out of which one billion were engaging in open defecation.

They said these at the weekend during a two-day media networking and alliance building workshop on organised by European Union/UNICEF on Water Sanitation and Hygiene and Open Defecation Free campaign held at Ijero Ekiti, Ijero Local Government area of Ekiti State.

The UNICEF/EU delegation, led by Mohsena Islam, a WASH specialist from UNICEF, went on a field trip with Ekiti Media WASH group to Asasa and Temidire Olojofi farm settlements in Aramoko Ekiti, to assess compliance with the campaign against open defecation. CLTS Coordinator in Gbonyin, Mr. Kayode Eleso, said many residents have been arrested and prosecuted for engaged in open defecation, particularly in Ado Ekiti metropolis, while efforts, he said, were also on to compel every household to have their toilets.

He regretted that low manpower in the sector was responsible for the noticeable inefficiency of his officers , saying records show that no staff has been recruited since Ekiti was created on October 1, 1996.”

Foreign Affairs / Re: Saudi Arabia Admits It Has NUCLEAR BOMBS; Will Test Within Weeks! by laidian(m): 6:38pm On Feb 21, 2016
Zoharariel:
Vladimirovich Putin, my son, be wary when you see a rat threatening a cat, we have an adage for it in Ijebu, it is called “Dada o le ja, sugbon o laburo togbo ju le” meaning “Dada (A person with dreadlocks) cannot fight but has a younger sibling he relies on”. grin

You do not need an astrologist to tell you that Amerika is scheming to replicate the bombing of Hiroshima & Nagasaki on Moscow & St. Petersburg so I suggest you position atleast 42% of your sophisticated nukes towards Amerika preferably the R-36M so that the bastards at the Pentagon do not see them coming. grin

1 thing is certain, my son, when push comes to shove, NATO will blink & cower at the blasts of the Russian Topol-M & RS-24 Yars.

But you must do me 2 important favours - Putin;

1.) Make sure the 1st nuclear missile target in Saudi-Arabia is the Kaaba so that I can tell my muslim neighbour who is fond of telling me - “I am going to Mecca, I am going to Mecca” - to change his pilgrim destination to the Taman Budaya Sentul Amusement Park in Jarkata Indonesia. grin

2.) Make sure the 5th nuclear missile target in Amerika (Because I already know that the 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th targets are WhiteHouse, Pentagon, Langley & WallStreet) is directed at the city of Pontiac in Michigan so that my heartless Ex-woman friend can be roasted like Asun (roasted goat meat) for breaking my heart by emigrating to Amerika in 2014 without telling me until a week later. I have not been able to love ever since. grin
