Politics › Re: Rivers APC Warns Buhari, NEC, Tinubu Over Meetings With Wike by lailo:
These people are really angry with Tinubu o
1. First in their address, they didn't accord him that H/E title but called him Bola Ahmed Tinubu straight grin
2. Tinubu is the only candidate snubbing his rivers party while PDP is prostrating for their own rivers party to be intact. Even when it looks like Wike may not support him, Tinubu doesn't look like to need rivers votes as much as Atiku is gasping for it. Afterall, Buhari failed there but still won the national election. What an irony.
3. Both rivers parties henchmen Amaechi and Wike are angry with their respective party and presidential candidates bcs they lost out at the primary and are both ready to sabotage their parties. Does it mean Rivers state is state of sabotage? Or just a political freelance state in this election?
4. Meanwhile both Ameachi and Wike are sworn enemies and can't even deliver for their parties even they actually emerged their party candidate in national election. Who dem wan beat? This means their parties are right.
5. Wike and Ameachi are fighting for selfish interest and need to drop ego to be able to negotiate well their political futures, if not Tinubu and Atiku will retire them forever

There are some truth in what you said. But I want to know why your party the APC have failed to push for restructuring, even now that the Yorubas occupy major positions in the present government.
When the Yorubas where in the opposition, they were clamouring for restructuring but as soon as they became the ruling group they went mute and even insult anyone that asks for restructuring.
Thanks my brother for your acknowledgement. Number one, as against what u said, the Yoruba people are not the ones who occupy the major positions in this government but the northerners, we only have significant influence with limitations bcs Buhari government is still northern presidency. You can still sit down and count them the yorubas there. Every state has at least a minister in this government, and say probably the speaker and recently the CJN post after 7 years of buharis regime. Everyone knows that Buhari has been nepotic in his appointment giving them more to his kinsmens. So if u are talking about people who full his government, it is his northern people. Secondly, you will notice immediately Buhari came in too, his kitchen cabinet cabal began to uproot every Tinubu's loyalists in order to remove his influence on the government. If it was even possible, they would have removed the VP Osinbajo sef. The northerners are the ones in power and they don't believe in restructuring, including Buhari. Tinubu and SW can not be fighting a government they help put in place. It is only logical that they wait and have power to implement real restructuring. If u notice it, SW region has already started restructuring even without waiting for Nigeria and that is why the north don't trust Tinubu or any other SW person but want another northerner to continue north's cornering of south resources. Remember SW the first region to begin regional economic agenda, state police in disguise as Amotekun, regional security reform/laws, clamour for special status for lagos etc.
Tinubu will do restructuring. He can not voice it now. Buhari and north don't want restructuring and he needs their votes. It is just as simple as that.

Did your supreme lord and savior Tinubu do anything in Lagos when he was the governor?
Tinubu can even claim the successes of his successors like Fashola, Ambode and Sanwoolu bcs he installed them and control them, and of course if they have failed, you people would have equally attributed it to him. Can Obi lay claim to Obiano and Soludo successes? People he didnt shared same political party with and have no influence on?
His track record remains his regime and we can't see.

HitRun:
Unless Wike just wants to have something to hold onto and say Atiku did not keep to a deal else it is audible to the deaf and visible to the blind that this deal won’t work. Atiku will do two terms unless his health fails and he choose not to contest for 2nd term. So 2027 is out of the question. Secondly, why won’t a sitting Vice President want to contest? If he does, the best Atiku can do is provide a level playing ground and not interfere; let the most popular man win.

But going by his antecedents, e sure me die say Atiku go bring a core Igbo man and work hard to install am the way Obj installed Yar Adua. This is because, if we want to be honest, that is the only way an Igbo man can get to the presidency in today’s Nigeria. And if that Igbo man’s presidency goes well, finally south easterners can begin to get a fair shot at the presidency like everyone else.
Igbos mentality is still what is limiting them in the project Nigeria. You want hand-over-to-me presidency. If a Yoruba man from south can walk his way there, nothing stops the igbos who are even more spread across the country and has business influence. All they need is political alliance. And they could have gotten that by forcing their way through PDP, a party they are holding 80% stake with SS. It is purely laziness of mind.

If u check the southern senators forum well, na SW people go full there or more active. Their counterparts from SS and SE will stand aloof, sitting on the fence only for soup to be ready and they will want to corner it. It happened during Jonathan struggle to occupy acting president position when Yaradua died. The north/PDP pushed him aside and he was helpless, it was Yoruba people who were at the forefront of the agitation using Lagos politics, our media, legal and international influence to force the north/PDP to do the needful. Once he took over, his people especially the igbos highjacked his government and declared SW enemy. We labour to install him and see no benefit though out his regime. The yorubas have been at the forefront of the agitation for restructuring, resource control and state police. The people whom it will benefit more are quite but interested only in ruling Nigeria that has been sucking them dry.

"The most corrupt"- quoting you. That is the problem with we southerners. Any opportunity giving to us, we would want to outsmart the northerners in corruption. Same thing Jonathan did and that's why the north will never wish anybody from SS and SE taste presidency bcs they believe it will be corruption galore bcs of our oyel mentality. A delta man who is supposed to show that southerners are better administrators has now ended being the most corrupt.Meaning all the abokis before him and the shout of corruption na child's play. Okay...

Lagos has been able to enjoy a level of success due to many factors bordering on high IGR and favourable geographical positioning.

Alaba market alone generates billions monthly which reveals that Igbos are seriously contributing to the state. PPP projects and other big businesses situated in Lagos all account for the fair development.

Imagine the development that Lagos would have been enjoying if Tinubu is not squandering the finances of Lagos.
The PPP projects and other big businesses just jumped there abi? You guys just spit nonsense from ur mouth. Success of Lagos is due to purposeful leadership and not accidental IGR. Did high IGR just came as abracadabra? No be some people sit down, think on how to turn the rubbies to money? Tinubu is embezzling Lagos money but only LASU where I have interest collect #500million naira monthly for staff salary payment and students school fees are not remitted back to government but use to do internal running. Only LASU every month o and Lagos have other 3 universities and other higher institution and schools of health. That is only higher education. Think of what primary and secondary education gulp. I have only touched education sef among other critical sectors like security, agriculture, roads, rail, power, staff salary, infrastructure maintenance, media and entertainment, politics, environmental sanitation, etc . Use your sense and see how Lagos money is being used in the light of her over population. At least Tinubu has no control over Abia and Anambra's growth, why are these states not growing like Akwa Ibom and Bornu, a Bokoharam enclave. The answer is responsible and purposeful leadership. PDP brought in technocrats who manged our economy for 16 years, got us out of debt and made us the fastest growing economy in Africa.

APC brought people without certificates who destroyed our economy in less than 7 years, made us the hunger capital of the world and sold us to China with debt hanging over unborn generations!
16 years of good economy that built railway across the 6 geopolitical zones that APC came to uproot them?
16 years of good economy that fixed our federal roads in all geopolical zones that APC came and uproot?
16 years of good economy that solved ASUU problems that APC came and destroy university system?
16 years of good economy that diversify our economy and changed it from oil dependent to multi-economy, but APC came and returned it back to oil-dependent.
16 years of good economy that provided enough jobs for the youths only for APC to come and sack people and render them jobless again?
16 years of good economy that built unprecedented infrastructure across the zones but APC came and uproot all the infrastructure and we are left with nothing
16 years of good economy that provided security that every part of the country was safe but APC came and introduce Bokoharam, Bandit, IPOB, Nigerdelta militants, Kidnapping etc
16 years of good economy that eliminated corruption from Nigeria only for APC to come and reintroduce it, chai?
