My phone was recently stolen at a bus stop by pickpockets and negative events transpired.
I kept calling the phone but it wasn't ringing and the second SIM kept forwarding to a number that doesn't exist.

I decided to go and check my account balance and was shocked to see that all the money I had in my GTBank account was gone.

I used a computer and logged in to my email address (the one linked to my bank account) and was shocked to see that the person used the 737 airtime self option to buy airtime worth the amount in my account. This was possible due to the vulnerability of GTBank 737 to not ask for pin when trying to buy airtime for self (the number linked to your GTBank account).

In summary, What scammers now do is to buy airtime with your number and transfer the airtime and sell it. Gone are the days when a mobile phone is stolen and the sim card is discarded.
Also they bar all incoming calls and SMS so that even if you call it would not ring. But the line would be on and they would wait for any alert that enters and buy airtime.

It's unlikely that GTBank would fix this error and even they do, one should take the precautions below:

1. Set a share and sell pin on your SIM card (even if you don't actually send airtime to people). The scammer would fail to sell the airtime and after repeated attempts would get barred.

2. Immediately your phone is stolen go to the bank ATM and withdraw all your money. Or search Google on how to place restriction on your account using another phone number (it's possible on 737)

3. Proceed to do a welcome back immediately. Your line may be used for criminal activities.

4. Be extremely cautious and observant in public settings


Hope this piece of information would save someone the agony I experienced last week.

This is the aftermath.

I arranged for a meet-up with him to discuss my supposed assumptions. He told me, "he doesn't hate my child, but he feels my son was gargling like a mewling child."

I asked him to elucidate. Which he did and I politely told him that if he gargled, it was because he's still four. I think he should give my son time and establish a friendly relationship with him.

It was like my pep talks rattled him and he immediately slapped me that I have insulted him and trapped his pride. I was like, what!!!

This was a harmless discussion. Why did you slap me? He started apologising. He said he didn't know what came over him.

I told him to leave my shop. I told him I will call him when I'm less angry.
To me, I wanted to pipe low and take his word for it. He asked for some money to take bolt home because he didn't come out with cash. I went into the shop and gave him.

After that day I didn't call him or wanted to have anything to do with him. To my greatest surprise yesterday, he came to my shop and started assaulting me so that I can't leave. I was like, I never wanted to date you before. I was just considering your proposal.

That little tussle was what led to him scattering the fruits I bought. My neighbours came to our shop and before I knew it, he has raze all my goods.

My neighbours called the market chairman and they bungled him to the police station.

What is wrong with men this day? I didn't collect anything from him. Thank God I took the advice of nairalanders. You guys helped me to identify this before going into it.

I met this guy about a year ago through my best female friend, and the journey started. I took him to my parents and he also took me to his parents too, and the wedding preparation started. The last straw that broke the Carmels back was when he was arguing with my aunt over the phone. He did not know I was in my aunt's house that particular day. I wasn't happy at all, thinking that if he would not regard my parents how would he treat me after marriage, so I confronted him the second day over the phone, telling him that I'm not happy about the way my parents where complaining about him, and that attitude of him is creating fear in me. Instead for him to be a little remoseful and even call those people and apologize, he was arguing with me, still in my aunt's house. So I told him, maybe we should put the preparation on hold thinking he would at least try and apologize to them. He just said, is that what you want and ended the call.
Everyone was surprised. He didn't call back it was his mum that called my mum, she didn't even persuade them to stop me from taking such step, and the guy too didn't call me for like too weeks until when I called him and he said he wasn't interested in the marriage again.

I was raped by my mum's younger sister's husband but I couldn't tell anyone because I felt no one will believe me because in their words I wasn't appealing enough for any man to want to want to be with me. And this was like the one thing I was always praying to God to help me keep because I wanted to give to any man that will want to marry me despite the fact that I'm not beautiful...A lot has to happened but I bet none of my family member know about infact no body know me in my family because i was close to neither my parents nor my siblings. The message I'll leave for everyone is that every child is a gift from God and deserve a chance to be loved and be themselves with the right training. Even if you don't like your child's face, colour, learning ability etc. Please trust God that gave you that child. please don't ruin the life of your child for any reason. Sometimes I wished I was given up for adoption or something please I don't wish this for any child in the world even if you cannot love your children equally don't make it obvious to your children. Someone reached out to me for help. She has been married for 6years now and blessed with 3kids, two boys and a girl. Here is the issue, her husband needs more kids and she has told him No on several occasions. You might be wondering why she said No…

They’re not finding it easy to feed, they’re having an hard time sending their kids to a proper school, she is working to also settle bills but her husband doesn’t care he just wants more kids. They have debt and she is trying to make him understand her reasons.

They have had meetings with families but he refused. He reported her to the church and she gave her reasons, she doesn’t want to bring more kids they can’t afford to take care of now. If things get better they can have more but he refused.

Now, the man is asking for a divorce if she doesn’t want more kids and he can’t take care of the three kids he has already. She is confused at this point because she can’t afford for the kids by herself and it’s a risk for them to have more kids.

She has begged him to understand by he doesn’t want to and if she agrees to have more kids with their situation it will affect her a lot. She sometimes has to beg relatives to feed.
