Magnifico2000: We would beat south Africa. I'm pretty sure of that if our boys turn up. Our goal keeper plays in South Africa, so he knows everything about the south African players. One in one, we are better than the south Africans. It is gonna be a close match but if you ask me, Nigeria would beat them. South Africa coach is also a tactical man. See the way he ran down the clock, reserving his players till injury time. It is really a shock result but I know Nigeria would beat south Africa. No doubt sir..but at the same time do not under estimate those SA guys..see shocker wey SA give Egypt with Egypt had much ball control and home adv..SA attack today was much better today Football unpredictable..Madagascar comes to mind..Also squirrels ..Benin Rep |

https://nairametrics.com/2019/07/03/in-a-brutal-rebuke-emefiele-accuses-nigerian-banks-of-lying/IS THIS A GOOD NEWS FOR TBILLS INVESTORS Sharp response: One of the questions he was asked was why banks are not lending to the private sector. In response to this, he claimed that the CBN was taking the issue seriously and was working on a piece of regulation that would restrict bank investments in risk-free government instruments. According to reports from some of the attendees at the event, the Governor said CBN would aggressively refocus banks to lend and is currently working on regulations that would restrict banks’ participation in zero risk instruments. If these assertions are true, it means the CBN will issue a policy that will stop banks from investing customer deposits in risk-free instruments like Treasury Bills and FGN Bonds. He also claimed that the regulations would be out in two weeks and that the decision to issue it was from the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC). The implication of this is that demand will reduce and interest rates for Treasury Bills could rise with banks out of the risk-free fixed income market. |

onegentleguy: Yet another one from Mr Emiefula and crew !!
The shift... There shall be merits and demerits with this new directive from the CBN. Time to adjust, re-adjust, realign and quite possibly avoid certain coys.
In the banking sector, its time to weigh up risk assets benchmarked against loans for those whose liquidity weighting has been more loan driven, and earnings margin against asset quility and yield for those that have been largely investment driven. Banks with higher NPL, lower CAR(from the aftermath of IFRS 9 implementation), higher CoF, lower Net Margin, ROAE and EM should be avoided. ...FBNH, UBN and UNITY readily comes to mind. In contrast, I believe that ZENITH, FCMB, ACCESS, UBA, FIDELITY and GTB are the most favorably placed banks to withstand the consequence of this new directive.
Elsewhere, its going to be a new line of positive for some coys in certain sectors. The FMCGs, OIL and GAS and to a lesser extent real estate. The INSURANCE sector will also indirectly reap from this. With the 1st aforementioned sector, I like DS and FMN... but that's just me.
It is well. FBNH comes to my mind.. |

I am only curious to know the bank ahiboilandgas is referring to 0.1% to chop for it. U re lucky jeje ..most credit unions do give such lower rates |

bendo75: No bank in the U.S. will give you 0.1% interest rate on personal loan, student loan, car loan or even mortgage. Getting a lower interest rate loans depends on your credit history/score. If you have an excellent credit score then you can secure a good/lower interest rate for personal loans from 4.99-10% or even higher.
Yes you can get 0.1% interest rate on your savings, cds etc but not on loans. I hope this helps. God bless U re right sir ..and even if u have a good credit history without a paystub/check its still goin to be lil bit hard get a personal loan from banks unless apply CC or go to lenders based on car title and rates are v. high |

Barrytone: My response to the discuss. Don't like quoting people so I avoid fights: I regret building my house. I want my moneys to work for me and not me working for money. I dumped about 35m on my building instead of investing and using the interest for rent while waiting for such time I will garner billions then I buy a house in "banana island". For the upcoming investors I advise you don't make my mistake. Don't believe like I did that property is the greatest investment. I used to live in property section but now I know better, I live here. Thanks for the knowledge shared U ve spoken well bro..when it comes to investment b4 taking a decision one has to Read books , if u have good people around u try to ask or analyse their opinions like this kind of forum , and depending on your faith / religion u pray about it Tbills for 2yrs back was 17/ 18 percent and last year at 15percent I almost made a mistake regards to what u mentioned sir ..That same property when i checked and called them last month prices still same that had wanted to pay 2 yrs ago , Not the same estate thou but close location to the former (Didnt want to mention the price ) If u calc 35m @ 17 per (2017_2018)and @ 15% (2018_2019). Imagine if such amount was invested in tbills just for that 2 yrs Info is power..You don't have to feel bad , we all have made one or two financial mistakes or wrong decision |

Some people might discovered that they panicked unnecessarily and will end up selling cheaper and buying higher. Anyway, let's keep watching na. Its well. Exactly ..we keep watching |

This is coming few days ahead of the second-quarter earnings season with investors keen on expected future earnings as a guide to positioning for investments in the Nigerian market.
