PoliticsRe: Fani-Kayode Blames Occultists For 2006 Plane Crashes by landis(m): 5:20pm On Jul 01, 2008

I actually feel insulted. Just because we are africans we do not have to run around like superstitious fools. The air crashes were caused by the rot in the aviation sector and people cutting safety corners, not by occultists.

Typical. Invoke God and demons at every opportunity instead of solving your problems with your God given brains.
More to that, I think we need to have this Fani-Boy checked for psycho problem and make him re-count.

Fani kayode may be a terrible crook but for all i care, it is either these planes were sabotaged or something beyond the ordinary happened. Leave science.
The Bigger problem is that ordinary people will tend to believe this rubbish, thereby more rot will set in.

And soon we have worst aviation accidents as we have worst road accidents in the world since everyone blame OCCULT.

Believe it or not, in my own opinion, those occultists he mentioned are those at the elm of affairs that may be seeking more power of dominion over Nigeria but at the end of the day, GOD surpassed them.

Toks
are you being sarcastic??

Occult have nothing to do with plane crashes.

sewhenu:
Its rather pathetic and shameful that a man of fani kayode's status,a cambridge trained lawyer would say such absurd things at a public hearing. It simply defies logic and i suspect he was under the influence of opium or something. He should be locked up to serve as example to others
And to imagine, that this 'Fani Boy' was a minister of aviation. what a sad country.

Foreign AffairsRe: African Leader Endroses Mugabe by landis(m): 8:44am On Jul 01, 2008
Again, Mugabe has shown he is the master of the game.

Cry Baby 'MDC' shot himself on the leg by withdrawing.

Instead of listening to his masters(WEST), he should have done below:

1. Go to court to officially ask for postpone of election due to violence(to show that Judiciary is fair or unfair)

2. He should have mobilized his people to counter-attack Zanu boys.(Kenya: Odinga + Kibaki)

3. election was secret ballot; so his supporters should have gone and voted for him since nobody can see who they voted for.

This is lesson for would be Politicians. It is better to rig, win rather than be in position to be loser(fair or unfair).

Also what's in Zim is same all over africa from Nigeria, Egypt, Senegal etc.

attempts at cabon-copying western ideas, practices, policies and programmes have failed in nigeria.
you missed again the point.

thinking like WEST does not mean copying their ideas.

It means: in any situation seek benefit for your people. How you do it depends on your style.

Nig: what benefit did we get or set to get when we supported ANC during apartheid?

So for each action we take; what is benefit for NIGERIANS: thats thinking like WEST.

Any government will choose to give clemency depending on the severity of the offence but on this case it is the death penalty. You do the crime means you are going serve the term when caught
AGREED but why is the Aussie Girl not killed but the naija were killed for same offence?

It would be harder to come across anyone in Australia who does not know about Schapelle Corby, the 27-year-old convicted, and sentenced to 20 years, by an Indonesian court for smuggling drugs into Bali in her boogie board bag
y should a blackman carry drugs to a whiteman's land?
last time I check, Indonesia is in ASIA.

As you treat yourself , so would others treat you. If Aussie Govt use all means to put pressure on the Indonesians, I see no reason, we cant apply same measures.
Foreign AffairsRe: Nigerians Executed In Indonesia by landis(op): 1:10pm On Jun 27, 2008
what are you talking about,  it is time we started respect other people constitution and their ways of life, nobody force them there they know the implication before venturing there.
and why was the australian girl not KILLED?

Clemency in any case will then be the sole prerogative of the Indonesian government not a right.
yeah.

so that right of clemency does not apply when its BLACKMAN??

I agree with the freedom in all ramification but where one's freedom stops the other persons begin. Then mutual respect should have been preached
DISAGREE.

YORUBA lands belongs to YORUBA culture not christianity or islam.

Based on this, they must have respect for what they meet on ground and not abuse it.

why can't Saudi allow them build church in Mecca to prove they respect others?

why can't US allow them build Mosque at back of white house to prove they respect others?

We should not take this crap from ANY religion.

Foreign AffairsNigerians Executed In Indonesia by landis(op): 11:47am On Jun 27, 2008
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/asia-pacific/7477101.stm

Two Nigerian convicts have been executed in Indonesia, seven years after being caught trying to smuggle heroin into the country.

Samuel Okoye and Hansen Nwaolisa were executed by firing squad in the early hours of Friday, officials said.

The executions were timed to mark the UN anti-drugs day, Indonesia's anti-narcotics agency reportedly said.

Drug traffickers are often sentenced to death in Indonesia, but the penalty has not been carried out since 2004.

The two men, aged 37 and 40, have been held at a high-security prison on Nusakambangan island, central Java, since their conviction for trying to smuggle some 7kg (16lb) of heroin into Indonesia.

"A firing squad of 12 people executed them in an outdoor area some 3km [2 miles] away from their prison," provincial prisons chief Bambang Winahyo told AFP news agency.

The two had made pleas for clemency to the president in 2004, but they were turned down.
Let see what FG would do about this.

We should immediately cut all ties with INDONESIA

We should send travel warning to Nigerians: If you have Nigerian passport, don't go INDONESIA.

We should set-up 'NGO', and use this as proxy to do all the dirty war.

We should place SANCTION on them and bully all AFRICAN countries to follow; they need our money, banks etc.

We should have ENEMY ACT' bill, and put such country on the LIST

We should have PARENT/FRIEND LIABILITY bill; parents/friends are also partly responsible. It becomes criminal offence if you know your friend is doing this and you don't report it.

We must put these COUNTRIES under consistent pressure.

I don't support violence in any way and my religion does not permit intimidation as well. Let the authority conduct their probe properly and let the guilty be brought to book.
what are you writing?

I said the MUSLIM are 99% from NORTH. They should be sent back to their place. I did not ask them to be sent to Saudi Arabia.

So your comment is INVALID.

They can do all sorts but if they attack 'YORUBA cultural heritage'; thats attack  on our IDENTITY AS YORUBA.

Then they will get what is coming to them!

Well said. I condemned this violence.

It is outrageous and I am waiting to hear what OPC, Yoruba Governors will have to say on this.

In this case, I support they kick out back to NORTH those muslims.

If we dont stop this now, they will extend this to all other YORUBA places when they 'Egungun festival' starts which is about now.

We stopped them in 1816-1824 but I guess we should have crushed them back all the way to North and we wont have these rubbish today.

I know since they are Norwegian citizens and the police is takeing care of the the issue is.
There are thousands of Nigerian women travling abroad every year to en up in prositution.
Why nigerians?
And nobody seems to care.
This could be your mother, sister, friend or whatever. And the Gov. knows this.
This case is closed since we both agreed the 17 are NORWEGIANS.

For those Nigerians who are not NORWEGIANS and go there for prostitution its a combination of:

1. poverty
2. mis-information
3. society attitude

If you can address all the 3, atleast Nigeria girls would not do this abroad but then there girls from russia + eastern europe too.

Mind you, EU/US ladies do 'tourist prostitution' in Dominica Republic, Kenya, Gambia. They go after 'Black Beach Boys'.
CrimeRe: 17 Nigerian Women Arrested Abroad by landis(m): 10:11am On Jun 26, 2008
The sad part of the story is that 7 days ago the police arrested 17 Nigerian women that are Norway citizens (that have lived here for over 15years) and one man for human trafficking.
Can you go back to 'Norway govt' and tell them these people are NORWEGIANS?

I am sure if they have won NOBEL Prize, they wont remember they were once NIGERIANS.

Cased Closed nothing for us or Nigerian Govt to do.

Tittle should read: Norway arrested 17 Norwegians for Human Trafficking.
