Many people don’t seem to realize the benefit of legalizing guns in Nigeria. They think of the disadvantages alone, not the advantages. Why are we narrow-mindedly opinionated about this issue?

1. Men go into a house to rape a defenseless girl. Would they try that if they knew she’s armed with a gun? Rapists want to rape and live, not to rape and die.

2. Many aged parents still cry days and nights, while their broken souls plead for vengeance. Their innocent children were killed in Jos and elsewhere while they were serving their fatherland.

3. In Nigeria, most criminals want to do bad things to people and go scot-free. If they knew people had guns as well, they would think twice.

4. I must be blunt, what gives most criminals the gut to attack people is because people are defenseless. If 20 assassins go to a man’s house, they’ll kill him. But the man can kill up to 3 of them before he dies. This is better than when the man is killed without being able to kill anyone in return.

5. One-Chance, terrorists, herdsmen, militants, money ritualists, armed robbers, thugs, bullies, etc., are able to go away unscathed in most cases because their victims don’t have guns. To be frank, those who attack you have power over you only because they’re armed and you’re not.

6. If most members communities have guns in their hands, do you think armed robbers would like to go to their lion’s den to molest them?

7. Militants that terrorize communities would be afraid to do so; unless they’re going on suicide missions. The same is true of mad Jihadists. No mad or rabid dog would deliberately run into a burning fire.

8. Domestic violence would cease…. A corrupt cop would cease pointing their gun to a poor and helpless okada rider because of N100.

9. Lazy thugs that collect money they don’t work for would think twice before they start cursing or threatening their victims, ordering for money they don’t work for.

10. It’s true, many people would die. But the remaining people alive would sit right. They would show respect for one another. Politeness would prevail and crimes would be reduced to almost zero. Isn’t there any sense in this?

It looks like common sense, but what you are going to have is ARNACHY!!. and it will never come to an end, especially in a developing country that there in injustice and equality. many will turn the guns from defending tools to oppresion tools. due to corruption, godfatherism and proliferation of guns already in the society, the sofistication will increase to overcome your attackers and it will be difficult to identify ownerships of such assault weapons. wild thinking. come back to reality and lets say no to injustice through better police force and the judiciary. thats the only way to have a saner country. when everyone knows that no matter who you are, where you come from or how long it takes, you pay big time when (not if) you are caught, even with ur life as the case may be.

you could be lucky to stumble on another version of the software which could give you a clue on the password of that particular one. for example, if it was an archive of ARCGIS software files, the rar password may be of the format "arcgis102" for v10.2 and "arcgis103" for version 10.3 (all small or all capital letters.

dead end. keep searching the internet for such archived softwares. check especially the youtube search results. i have a password rar unlocker, but no guarantee. it could take ages to decipher the letters, especialy for huge rars.

the older you are, the more difficult it is to stop. if you are above 20 years, veeeerryyyy difficult.

I think its high time the state enacts stiffer measures against rape, devoid of the option of fine or bail with long jail terms. I don't think an addiction to cigarette counts as stupidity, an addiction is a mental defect and has nothing to do with intellect. Based on your example, we might as well say doctors who are fat are stupid because they should know the consequences of obesity. I'm not debating the positive effects of having a good moral system, I'm just saying removal of ignorance via proper education should not be forgotten. What do you call two virgin couples that waited till after their wedding to consummate and their sex life resulting in more problems than they ever anticipated because the woman knew nothing about the art of love making and the man was equally as clueless? What do you call a reverend's daughter after years of careful moral guidance and religious dedication that ended up being a victim of a bad marriage due to sexuality issues which ultimately resulted in a divorce. Morality without education is pointless and at the same time education without moral values leads to a degenerate society.

the purpose of formal education is simple. it gives you the ability to ask questions like how? why? and what? if you can't ask questions about how condoms were and whether it actually protects, then your own type of sex or formal education is trash!
are you saying sex before marraige is better? or are the lives of those who are sexing before marraige now better than the lives of our parents who where virgins before marraige? the examples you mentioned. does it not occur to couples whether virgins or not? can you say authoritatively that those who sleep with each other before marraige have better sex lives than virgin couples? sis, go do ur research and acquire proper sex/formal/robust education. education teaches you not to copy the western world blindly.
by the way, sex is not marraige and marraige is not sex. sex is one aspect of the entire issue of mutual compatibility. how to know yourself, how to discover compatibility quickly and who to marry, how to live together in undestanding and fidelity is my own definition of proper education which has healthy sex education in it by default for singles and couples.
my point remains that d society and our own form of sex education only encourages looseness, without emotional discipline. thats deeper than just morality. if not, our religious leaders won't be sleeping with church members. ABSTINENCE, which you have learnt through understanding and mastering your emotions (sexual urge, anger, etc) remains the best. i am not condemning anybody, but this must be our collective goal if we want to leave better legaciesthan our parents.

Which country is more developed? The U.S.A or Nigeria? Which country is less morally corrupt? Nigeria or USA? An honest answer to these two questions is enough to debunk your value theory. A wise man once told me, it's possible to be honest and ignorant but it's practically impossible to be well educated and stupid! You can teach abstinence all you want but you can't force it on teenagers or young adults, they will make the decision themselves rather you can try to be realistic and provide them with proper sex education in order for them to become more informed and less ignorant!

well, i have seen well educated but stupid persons. you only need to check the news. for example, how do you explain why a medical doctor would be addicted to at least 2packs of cigarrette per day. his he not educated? does he not know the consequences? i will not be drawn to the argument of comparing USA & Nigeria because d margins of moral corruption are completely different. what is constant is that sex is sex and the emotional discipline not to indulge is thesame. we several talk shows on radio and on tv, sex education in schools, mosques and churches. so the problem i repeat is not mere education. the education must come with knowlege of emotional discipline. we know so much than our forefathers, yet the rate of rape, tenage pregnancy, baby mamas, beastiality, STDs, etc is on the increase.hope you get my point.

sorry o. the op never mentioned married couples exclusively. secondly, the stats are showing rise in unwanted pregnancies (or mistake babies as they call them) even among couples who stick religously to contraceptives and condoms. my point is simply clear. condom and other ways of artificial pregnancy prevention is not as effective as abstinence. those who use contraceptives and condoms yet end up as baby mamas should be the disgrace. those who use those things as license for being lose are also the disgrace!!

I beg to disagree. The problem of your generation is not knowledge, it is character that has messed up the value system. Ask a six year old of things like this and you will be amazed. Knowledge is bound to increase by default. You can't slow down that. What matters is the decline of value system that should ensure we always use the knowledge appropriately in improving our lives and society. What would you rather teach your baby? usage of condoms or abstinence? the former teaches a lack of selfcontrol while the latter teaches delayed gratification for future gains. you be the judge!
