There are some schools that do not recognize NECO outside of Nigeria. In Canada I know Univerisity of Alberta and Grant MacEwan University do not recognize NECo apart from if things have changed in the past 2 years. |
For schools offering French at grad level in Canada check http://oraweb.aucc.ca/pls/dcu/dcu_e2?REF_ID=55858263&SORT_BY=1 |
No need in paying anybody to process Canadian permanent resident. Paying a consultant will not make it faster or slower. The process is not difficult and not time consuming. The process could be found in http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/index.asp |
@Cuddlemii I can't say much about the school you mentioned. The most important thing is getting admission and performing excellently well. Each school has career fair and it's always time for employer to market their companies to students. In as much as going to a good school will enhance one's opportunity in getting a job, performance in school is also a very important variable. No one can guarrante you job no matter the school you go. |
Ilegal businesses are not welcome here. Keep your South African passport to yourself. |
@gel, Concordia University College is a Christian university (I'm not sure if it's private). It's a very small uni. There are only 2 grad programs which are Master of Information Systems Security Management and Master of Arts in Biblical and Christian Studies, As Rare said the school is not the most popular one in Alberta. |
@babsharon, all the information you need is available at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/provincial/index.asp invest your time in reading through. |
@Justhustle, you will find answer to your question at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/extend-stay.asp |
If anyone wants to apply for any Canadian visa the website to go to is http://www.cic.gc.ca. There is no need paying any agent to provide documents you don't have. Going to Jamaica will not change your chances of getting the visa. Don't allow any agent to decisive you. No agent can guarranttee visa and a genuine travel agent will include that disclaimer when signing documents with you. |
jjtravels please stop this rubish. I will never call your number and won't ask anyone to call you. The rules and regulations for going to Canada are well written out. There is no point in anyone going to Jamaica before going to Canada. What is the purpose of going to Jamaica? To obtain fake Jamaica passport and hopefully use that to apply for visa then get to Canada and claim refugee status? Agents like you have misled so many people that roaming the streets in Toronto, Montreal and other cities. Please devote your time in doing something productive and stop this rubish. |
jjtravels or Tbaba777 or whatever you call yourself. Devote your time to more productive work and stop scamming people. You are one of the people giving Nigerians bad name everywhere. Requirements for applying for Canadian visa are well written out. Applying from Jamaica will not change the requirements. How many of your relatives have you sent on such journey. If you are so sure of it why not undertake the journey yourself. I guess it is about time to list the names of scammers on the travel section for others to see. jjtravels or Tbaba777 devot your time to more productive work. |
In otherwords Jjtravels is the same as Tbaba777. Why use multiple name if not to scam people? Invest your energy in something more productive. |
@Rare, thanks a lot for noticing that. That must be a recent change to the rule. I know people that have changed their status from visitors to workers or students recently. |
@chickyamma, check http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/extend-stay.asp. It is possible to change your condition from a vistor to a student. |
@Rare dat will not be a problem. What time to you arrive? |
When I arrived in Canada someone offered the same service to me. Why not do the same to others? |
@Rare and Debo, Edmonton will be waiting for you. Hope we hook up some time after you arrive. If you need any help like being picked up at the airport please let me know. |
Bobobabe and Rare which department will you be in UofA? |
@Rare, Edmonton is called the city of champions because both the football club and the hockey club had won all the throphies possible. It is possible to travel with money just do as Hotstepper said. |
@Rare, welcome to Edmonton (The City of Champions). I hope you like the city. |
What about those of us in Canada. The machine is not available in Ottawa. |
Hotstepper, it's possible provided the person arrived on a work permit, permanent resident or on student permit with funding or scholarship. The only other way is if the person is on a student permit and get a job within three days of being in the country. |
Rare, I hope your student visa is a multiple entry one. If it is a single entry one and you return to Nigeria you will have to re apply for a re entry visa. |
I'm a grad student. My email address is but for others to benefit in our discussion, I will prefer that you post your questions here. |
chamber2 , it depends if you can wait till September 2011 to start the program. Being a student of this same department in UofA I will say Economics is better in UofA at grad level than at UNB. What I will advise is that you try to process your study permit for UNB if there is January admission. The beauty of Canadian immigration law now is that you can transfer from one school to another without having to change your study permit. You can change from UNB to UofA after being in Canada if you are really keen about UofA. |
Kunle, It depends on your status in UK. So far you have a legal status apart from visiting visa you can apply for study permit in UK. I got my Canadian student visa in UK while on working holiday and I know of many people that were on study visa in UK that got their Canadian one. Kunle what is your status in UK? |
