Possible situation

1. They stole someone debit card at gun point or by trick and requested for the pin, they avoided the ATM stand cos the machine will take their pictures when used and moreover, withdrawal limit of ATM is also an hindrance, and it will take time to withdraw 500k and above cos ATM max withdrawal at a single transaction is 10-20k. The man suffering from supposed stroke, two kids, referral and the woman are all accomplice.

You have already been indicted cos there's a transactional link between your account and the debit card in question here, if anything should later come up, the bank will definitely trace a link to your account.

What to do; Go to a nearby station and report the case, so as to be exonerated just incase anything springs up. Also, asked them to come and get back the refund in person, secretly take pictures of them, put your phone on record and purposely ask question or initiate a discussion that would make it clear that you are not in anyway related to them and do not have any deal aside for the fact that they are buying goods from you and also returning it to get a refund.

Warning ⚠️: do not accept any form of compensation for refunding them, they might offer you a deal to refund them 900k instead of the 1M they initially sent for the goods, please do not accept it, but however, you can charge them for inconvenience, this can be defended.

This is an incomplete and poor analysis.
Has Reno considered the population of Nigeria to Ghana which also trickles down to the working population, schooling population etc
With those factors in his analysis, he will understand that thinks are bound to be much more cheaper in Nigeria compared to other developing countries with less population!!!

Hello Gurus in the House,

Is it ok to use ecctis address on my transcript application to my institution.

I don't seems to notice their address on the website and meanwhile the institution insists on not sending transcripts to individuals.

I eventually found the address but this is the notice attached "All applications for Ecctis services should be made online. Please do not send documents via post unless you have been advised to do so."

Please advise.
Thanks

Career / Re: Why You Should Learn A Skill In Nigeria by lansha2006: 12:28pm On Jul 16, 2022
Government don't create jobs. It is the responsibility of the government to provide enabling environment for private sectors. The burden of job creation is on the private sector and entrepreneurs.
PROPEACE:

Yes the government owes us a job! Worldwide, it is the job of the government to create jobs. They have failed, that does not mean they should be absolved of blame. Yes, young Nigerians should learn a skill, but must never accept as normal the failure of their leaders to do what is right. Trump, Obama, etc all brag about the jobs they created while in office. The developed countries are taking our best engineers, doctors, nurses etc and we are advocating artisanship? Why are all their graduated not artisans? Which first world country attained first world status through SMEs? Which? We may do artisanship in our desperation to survive, but we must never think it is normal for engineers and doctors to become carpenters and tailors.

This thread is dedicated to the new UK Skilled Worker visa (formerly Tier 2 visa), and Health and Care Worker visa routes. Please feel free to share ideas, information, links, etc and connect with like-minded people. Our goal is to see each other succeed in this pursuit and meet together at last in the UK.

I'll start with some basic information about each of the two visa routes and the official gov.uk links for guidance on how to start the process:

1. For every information about the UK Skilled Worker visa -> https://www.gov.uk/skilled-worker-visa

Overview of Skilled Worker visa:
A Skilled Worker visa allows you to come to or stay in the UK to do an eligible job with an approved employer. This visa has replaced the Tier 2 (General) work visa.

Eligibility:
To qualify for a Skilled Worker visa, you must:
- work for a UK employer that’s been approved by the Home Office
- have a ‘certificate of sponsorship’ from your employer with information about the role you’ve been offered in the UK
- do a job that’s on the list of eligible occupations
- be paid a minimum salary - how much depends on the type of work you do

*The specific eligibility depends on your job -> https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/skilled-worker-visa-eligible-occupations

*Check if your job is on the list of Shortage Occupations for non-healthcare and non-education ->
https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/skilled-worker-visa-shortage-occupations/skilled-worker-visa-shortage-occupations

*You must have a confirmed job offer before you apply for your visa.*

Knowledge of English:
- You must be able to speak, read, write and understand English. You’ll usually need to prove your knowledge of English when you apply.

You can prove your knowledge of English by:
- passing a Secure English Language Test (SELT) from an approved provider
- having a GCSE, A level, Scottish National Qualification level 4 or 5, Scottish Higher or Advanced Higher in English, gained through study at a UK school that you began when you were under 18
- having a degree-level academic qualification that was taught in English - if you studied abroad, you’ll need to apply through Ecctis (formerly UK NARIC) for confirmation that your qualification is equivalent to a UK bachelor’s degree, master’s degree or PhD.

How long you can stay:
- Your visa can last for up to 5 years before you need to extend it. You’ll need to apply to extend or update your visa when it expires or if you change jobs or employer.

If you want to stay longer in the UK:
- You can apply to extend your visa as many times as you like as long as you still meet the eligibility requirements.

*After 5 years, you may be able to apply to settle permanently in the UK (also known as ‘indefinite leave to remain’). This gives you the right to live, work and study here for as long as you like, and apply for benefits if you’re eligible.

How to apply:
You must apply online.

How you apply depends on whether you’re:
- outside the UK and are coming to the UK
- inside the UK and extending your current visa
- inside the UK and switching from a different visa
*If you want to change your job or employer, you must apply to update your visa.

*You can include your partner and children in your application to stay in the UK if they are eligible.

How long it takes:
- You can apply for a visa up to 3 months before the day you are due to start work in the UK.

Getting a decision:
Once you’ve applied online, proved your identity and provided your documents, you’ll usually get a decision on your visa within:
- 3 weeks, if you’re outside the UK
- 8 weeks, if you’re inside the UK
*If you need to go to an appointment, you may be able to pay for a faster decision. How you do this depends on whether you’re outside the UK or inside the UK.

How much it costs:
You, your partner or children will each need to:
- pay the application fee (£610 for a standard 3-year visa, or £1,220 for a 5-year visa; but for shortage occupations - £464 for a 3-year visa, or £928 for a 5-year visa)
- pay the healthcare surcharge fee for each year of your stay (£624 per annum)
- prove you have enough personal savings (at least £1,270, unless you’re exempt)

What you can and cannot do
You can:
- work in an eligible job
- take on additional work in certain circumstances
- do voluntary work
- study
- bring your partner and children with you as your ‘dependants’, if they’re eligible
- travel abroad and return to the UK
- apply to settle permanently in the UK (also known as ‘indefinite leave to remain’) if you’ve lived in the UK for 5 years and meet the other eligibility requirements

You cannot:
- apply for most benefits (public funds), or the State Pension
- change jobs or employer unless you update your visa.

.............................................................................

2. For every information about the UK Health and Care Worker visa -> https://www.gov.uk/health-care-worker-visa

Overview of Health and Care Worker visa:
The Health and Care Worker visa was created, sequel to Brexit, to encourage healthcare professionals from around the world to come to the UK to do an eligible job with the NHS, an NHS supplier or in adult social care.
The visa opened to applications from 4 August 2020, and forms part of the UK’s new immigration system.

*For applicants, the benefits of the new Health and Care Worker visa include fast-tracked entry to the UK, together with reduced visa fees and exemption from the Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS). Processing duration is usually about 3 weeks.

Eligibility:
To qualify for a Health and Care Worker visa, you must:
- be a qualified doctor, nurse, health professional (e.g. dietitian, physiotherapist, dentist, etc) or adult social care professional
- work in an eligible health or social care job
- work for a UK employer that’s been approved by the Home Office
- have a ‘certificate of sponsorship’ from your employer with information about the role you’ve been offered in the UK
- be paid a minimum salary - how much depends on the type of work you do

*If you need to go to an appointment, you may be able to pay for a faster decision. How you do this depends on whether you’re outside the UK or inside the UK.

Career / Who Is Running The World? by lansha2006: 5:45pm On Jan 21, 2022
Saw this WhatsApp viral post and I would like to find out if the hypothesis is true.
Biden, Putin and Xi were arguing on who’s in charge of the world.
. US, Russia or China?
. Without any conclusion, they turned to Modi (India President) and asked him "Who’s in charge of the world?"
Modi replied: All I know is:
1. Google CEO is an Indian
2. Microsoft CEO is an Indian
3. Citigroup CEO was an Indian
4. SoftBank Vision Fund CEO is an Indian
5. Adobe CEO is an Indian
6. NetApp CEO is an Indian
7. PepsiCo CEO was an Indian
8. Nokia CEO is an Indian
9. MasterCard CEO is an Indian
10. DBS CEO is an Indian
11. Cognizant CEO was an Indian
12. Novartis CEO is an Indian
13. Conduent CEO was an Indian
14. Diageo CEO is an Indian
15. SanDisk CEO was an Indian
16. Motorola CEO was an Indian
17. Harman CEO is an Indian
18. Micron CEO is an Indian
19. Palo Alto Networks CEO is an Indian
20. Reckitt Benckiser CEO is an Indian
21. Now IBM CEO is also an Indian origin guy
22. Britain’s Chancellor of the Exchequer is an Indian
23. Britain’s Home Secretary is an Indian
24. Ireland’s Prime minister is an Indian.
. So who's running the World? Very interesting!
. That is the result of India policy since the early fifties to focus on education.
. Dr Abraham's Comment:
*Interesting...to know that they were just as abused as Blacks, yet they have quietly gone on to make an impact in the world!*

*And the CEO of Dangote is Indian!*
*There is no alternative to quality* *education* *You are sought after!*

If I were you, I will stick to Number 10 and build a business around it. Several skills to learn from, you dont need anyone to pinpoint which one. Google is your friend and will save you a lot. Your Educational background could guide your choice too
blackpanthar:

There is something called SWOT Analysis.... you need to do it for whatever area and business you choose.

This 2020 has been a year of reset... you need to set up a business that will thrive irrespective of lockdown or plandemic.

Let me give you a few...

1) FOOD PROCESSING or FOOD COOKING
2) Agric-tech( where you invEst in buying a farm and you get as little as 50% ROI in 5 months.
3) STOCKS or FOREX.... (well... this one is late because if you used 4M to buy dollar at the beginning of the lockdown, by now you would have more than 6M)
4) Land.. then you put it out for LEASE (this is big business if you are in an industrial area)
5) health kits too
6) tech (setting up a dating or earning or news website or app is huge business)
7) real estate
cool mobile printing press (a van that is converted to a mobile office and you can drive to campuses and print on a daily basis)... someone sold this business here on NL for 850k with gen and other stuff.
9) TRUCK business (this is a very big business because a company handles every other thing for you once you buy the truck at an installment of 1.5m)
10) YOU (why not learn skills that will make you so versatile for less than 500k and then use the 3.5 to establish yourself)

Now sit and think which one your personality can cope with. Then Launch. I wish you well bro

How I wish you did not spoil this beautiful piece with partisan politics. You should have submitted this on a neutral ground

Jones4190:
PDP is a fraud.
Multiplier effect of corruption
1. A young man works for one of the state ministries. His salary is 120K. He makes 15,000 everyday on this desk (N75k a week) engaging in corrupt practices. As a result, he spends the daily cash as he cares. Living large and far above his legitimate income.
2. He visits the local joint every evening and buys drinks for friends, and area boys. They hail him. He is married, but has two girlfriends. His "income" is enough to take care of them. The Asun seller at his favorite joint is happy, the joint owner is happy.
3. Everyone was benefiting from his "income". Friends, family, area boys, joint owner, Asun seller, girlfriends, wife and his church. Life was good.
4. Then suddenly the ministry implemented the Treasury Single Account (TSA) at the beginning of PMB administration. His extra "income" disappeared and he had to adjust to the reality of event and live within his real income. That wasn't easy.
5. Initially he reduced his daily visit to the joint to 3 days a week and stopped buying drinks for everyone. He reduced the plates of Asun. The Asun seller started to find it hard to sell a full goat each day and resorted to buying half.
6. The young man's girlfriends started to feel the heat too. No more iPhone 10. The joint owner noticed a drop in sales. The young man finally stopped visiting the joint after a month. The area boys started feeling his absence. The effect cascaded down.
7. The young man started spending more time at home with his wife and kids. The family had to readjust to the reality of the new normal. His hair stylist noticed the young man suddenly stopped tipping. He will even wait for his N200 change after haircut.
8. Things are different. Times are hard, they all cry. The young man is blaming Buhari, his wife is blaming Buhari, the area boys are blaming Buhari, the girlfriends are saying Buhari must go, the joint owner is saying Buhari killed the "economy"
9. The Asun seller is cursing Buhari, the hair stylist is insisting Buhari is too old to rule. This is the story of our nation where corruption fuels the "economy". Those who are not engaging in it are benefiting from it.
10. This tread is not about Buhari's achievement or failure, but rather about the "multiplier" effect of corruption and how we have built a system largely driven by corruption. It's about policy implication (good or bad). It's about the choices we have made.
Finally, the young man had to withdraw his kids from what he called expensive primary school his kids attend. He added:"what are they teaching them there sef " Obasanjo didn't go to a private school. I just laughed .

It could be an error on the part of the access bank personnel entering the date or the account owner who gave a wrong digits. Send and online message to access bank. You don't need to go there. Let them understand when you purchased the line and the time you started receiving the alert. They will advise on the best way to approach. This has got nothing to do with the operator now. From your explanation, I can deduce that the owner of the access account opened the account after your purchase. One more thing, ask your parent or trusted fellas if they just opened an account with access bank. I hope this solved it

When we save enough, the Government should declare our refineries ''out of service".

After this Covid -19 pandemic, we begin to sell from our reservoirs for the main time, while the refineries will be under renovation.

And also very importantly is the need to diversify.
Great idea but what about the cost of storage and production. What are the parameters you are using for your projections? This is not a walkover
