Donbaba123: You said expect the passport? So you mean they will request for the passport later to stamp if the visa is approve? no now, i mean your passport will be the only document they will return. |

Donbaba123: Please during the appointment are they going to return all the documents back or someone have to submit it all and please documents are to be original and photocopy? You have to make photocopies of all your original documents, then submit photocopies as all documents will not be returned except your international passport. |

cutebear: You guys are not being realistic. I've explained everything that needs to be explained. You don't know that these ECOs think far and wide. If you are serious about getting the visa, start reading from at least page 400 of this page so that you can learn from people's mistakes. Instead of learning from several refusals, why not learn from people's stories on this thread.
@Switch900 you are single and you claim to earn 300k on a monthly basis. Your account balance should be healthy and you should be able to FULLY sponsor yourself for a trip to the UK since you earn very much above the average Nigerian. Also, don't even try to claim that you plan on just sitting down in your cousin's house in the Uk because it sounds unrealistic. madam/sir i am not apply for a visa, i got my 2 years visa renewed last week. That person said his cousin will accommodate him, and that he is paying for flight alone. Fine we understand that the 300k he wants to spend is not realistic and he can increase that amount, but the ECO still count you staying with someone as “sponsor” which doesn’t mean he can’t sponsor himself |

cutebear: You're an adult who earns 300k monthly. This is above the average Nigerian salary. So why in the world is your cousin sponsoring your trip?? Even if your cousin adds his account statement, this is a red flag. Your story is just strange bro. I'm not an ECO and I'm not even convinced by your story & profile Is he suppose to pay for rent and buy food in his cousin’s house? |

Ashirioluwa: Nawa o I did on the 3rd and paid for priority, when the ban was announced i went for passport retrieval which tls didn’t get back to me till January. But before then, the first paid mail i sent i was told my application was being considered for decision making, that was on 16th of December. I sent another on 21st and was told decision had been made. Had to leave my passport at the tls on January 6th cos what i wanted to use it for had passed before i was contacted to pick it up. Till now I haven’t heard anything but I already know the status of my application. |

Ogidigan1: I paid for PRIORITY application.
I did biometrics on the 17th Nov.
Application was received at DMC on the 18th Nov.
Tomorrow (29th Nov) will make it 8 WDs since my application was received at DMC.
I thought Priority application normally takes 5 WDs. Do these people think GBP 220 is cray fish? I even paid for self, wifey and child; that's GBP 660 (almost 370k).
Meanwhile, is anyone else experiencing the same issue? Please, is this your first application? |

rebless: Hello fellows,
Please for those who recently applied, is the 19,000plus you paid at your online appointment booking inclusive of courier service and about how long did the process took you in the application centre?
Moreover were you able to take your passport photographs at the centre without paying online ?
Thanks in anticipation Yes, the 19,000plus is inclusive of courier if you stay in Lagos I guess, I didn’t pay any other fee for delivery. The process took like an hour, i was the 2nd person to be attended to. You can take your passport photographs at the center and pay with cash, don’t patronize those people outside o...their fee is too high. |

rebless: Very faster than before I’m very encouraged to make application as I have been to France myself in the past. Did you book flight tickets from the airline yourself if so which airline? Yes i did with Airfrance, they canceled after 48hrs though...but at least i was able to present something, they don’t expect you to get a flight ticket when your visa has not been approved. |

rebless: I appreciate your prompt response but lastly please how long was the duration of your visa process with them and how much was the cost of your passport courier return? uwc...I went for Submission last week Thursday, i got a mail that it has been transferred to France embassy on Friday, then yesterday i got an emails from both France embassy( that it has been transferred to VFS) and VFS( that it has been sent to ups for delivery). So the process with them should be Friday-Wednesday(issue date was yesterday) Then for the delivery, I think it was charged with the payment made while booking appointments for someone living in Lagos, then outside lagos attracts additional fee. I only paid for application fee on my submission day(40,015naira). |

[quote author=esdajo post=107235183]Good day everyone. I booked an accommodation for only 3 days and I have already filled in the name and address of the place on the visa form online. I was subsequently advised here to book for the entire duration of the stay in France before submitting the application documents at VFS which is in a few days time. The challenge now is that I am unable to extend the booking period with that particular hotel but there are other hotels with availability. Should I cancel it and book another one despite having filled something different on the already-submitted visa application form online or should I address this in the cover letter since I am unable to modify my current booking to accommodate the entire period we would be in Paris? Please advise on how to go about this as I am very confused here and do not want any silly mistake that could jeopardize our chances of getting the visa . Gurus in the house should please help.
Hello, you can fill another form. There is always a reference number on each form, so its the form you submit on the day of appointment that will be used. |
