Okay house, that is it, I am fed up. Anybody knows how to withdraw application at the south African high commission in abuja. I actually just want my passport, and how can I get it before 24th of December which is their closing date for the year. Any help please, its very urgent. |
Hello house, please I am to be in SA by the first week of January else my contract will be cancelled. However, I was told at d Abuja high commission that my visa will be ready between 6weeks to 2months....that end of January/early February. Please who has experienced this and who knows how I could get it done, I was told there are agents that could facilitate things.....please I need this urgent help....please. |
samtol4:Big boss and others in the house, who is gonna help me...... I finally went to d embassy applying for intra-company transfer work permit, after all the wahala, I was told to pay and my application was accepted..... visa granted I shld presume. However wen I asked the Lady she said my visa will be ready in 6weeks to 2 months wen I am to resume on the 5th of January. I applied in abuja and the gave us a number which is unreachable , I have informed the company but I just wonder how dey will help me push. Who has info on wat I cld probably do..... |
samtol4:Oh yes, I guess I was bin worried for nothing, I just checked wen u asked, d initial 3 months is 11.2 visa according to wat he sent. Just saw that now. I did a Google on it, 11.2 is a visit visa with permission to work, so I guess they r on track and I was d ignorant one over d issue They shld be sending everything this week, I guess I don't v much to do but wat do u advice, my yellow fever is 3 years old, wat other bottlenecks shld I expect and how do I tackle it, also how long will it take and where do u advice I apply lag or abj? Thanks for ur time once again. |
samtol4:Thanks boss....I didn't say its me oooo....lol. Anyway yes, the company is applying for the work permit, they said dey will apply for 3months first then upon extension of the contract, they will apply for 4years ICT work permit....... However my concerns and reservation : 1) Will one be able to work legally with this initial 3months visa, don't wanna get there and start hearing stories of "you can't work with this visa", "you need proper permit" cos I learnt they r very hostile to Nigerians. In light of this, is there anoda type of work permit that cld b used for this short term apart from the scarce skill work permit (which I guess might take a while to process)? From their website, I see nothing. 2) like u said, the company is truly working that (permit n others) all out but its a UK recruiting agency they might just do the basic things. How do I mean,? The initial three months visa might be good for an Indian or Philippine to start work, but with d bad tag on Nigerians, they might want sometin more concrete, if u get wat I mean. So while they r doing theirs (the recruiting firm), m trying to do mine, just to get it right, as I will be resigning here to start there (don't wanna b on a long tin) Besides one of d ladies in d recruiting firm told me to start my visa process early cos Nigerians have the problem of visa each time they recruit them (so sad we've got a bad name). Also the question of where to apply, lag or abj? Which is faster.....thanks for your time |
Hello house, please help with d following info. For someone who got a contract job in SA which visa is recommended.....all I see is visa, nothing about work permit for short term job say 3 months, then also the scarce skill permit. Will normal visitors visa be okay? Also, after deciding on the visa, how long will it take to obtain, plus where is me it advicable to apply, Lagos or abuja? Learnt one is faster than the other. |
Hello gurus in the building , m rili late into this, I must v bin sleeping ......anyway sorry to draw you all back, bin searching briefly but cant find wat m looking for. ![]() My questions are, for a new applicant , is it still open, cos I saw 2014 on it though my occupation hasn't reach the capped 1000. ![]() If its still open, do I fill it myself or do u suggest an agent. Have seen so many of dem, online and off, Nigerian and foreign. If m to do it myself, how do I start ( sorry if this question is dump) , if u say agent , any recommendations? ![]() If these questions v bin answered inside the thread, please just quote me and point me to it. ( sorry if m asking to be fed, v tried feeding myself....lol)....thanks in advance. In other news, my aunty and sister v bin telling me about this but I kept saying my field isn't there, little did I know I v bin sleeping on okada. Now I hope I don't fall..... |

chronique: Not sure what to say yet. Probably need to listen over and over again before I pass my verdict. But judging by what I heard now,Ruggedman is like the last passenger on a very long queue of folks, waiting to board a bus with space for only 2 more passengers. More like,He's so far behind. Reminisce gave the track the little life it had.See beef, u r dissapointed that the rugged one could pull sometin like this off after many years......its obvious beef outta jealousy, tell me, wen last did d 9th mode or ice do sometin close to this....in case u don't this video came out this late only to sell d clothes and guess wat brother, its gonna sell, baba will make his money while ur ice and/or mode will still be searching for another feather to pull out.....maybe in APC or in other 1920 poem which makes him look like a lyricist , obviously without cash. Ur mode is obviously d last passenger with d timberland boot while ur ice came late to d bus stop while d APC bus zoomed off ......keep hating cos rugged seems like a cat with 9 lives #teamRugged! |

bybj: Hey Folks;....biggest telecom hardware vendor in d country, u r talking "who are we" ? If dey r d one, mate Don't even think b4 making ur decision , jump in, anybody serious with gaining on d job telecom experience in Nigeria has only one place to b....."who are we" , dose 'china men' v taken ova n r moving @ d speed of light, joining dem will advance u faster so for now forget d sbc dt do only drive test....hop into "who are we" n do everytin n anytin, as for d contract tin, dats how dey do, mayb 1 month mayb 2, mayb 5 yrs but if dey eventually drop u after contract, u can go back to Jr sbc or anoda one and continue ur drive test, dey will gladly take u as long as u knw ur stuffs , plus u now v "who are we" on ur cv wc dey will respect. Dis is telecom, Don't forget to keep studying ........all d best dude! |
Okija_juju: Another soul lost to Religous Over-zealousness."give to ceaser wat belongs to ceaser" shikenah......Jesus is far too wise to b caught on offside....wink! |
only physics n electrical? for where? i am a graduate of computer science and i am an RF engineer with VERY deep and improving knowledge, the whole thing has not got much to do with what you studied in school, its about how ready you are to read deep because in actual fact RF is the most difficult and fragile part of telecoms compared to BSS/RAN, core network and even VAS. you need to understand it to the smallest atom to be able to function properly. So forget about your course in uni and do what is to be done, practice they say makes perfection.... u cant imagine wat i have to read daily despite d crazy workload in d office, its not as if i am dt much of a "bookworm" but continuous studies is d only way i can keep my job and secure fully my career so i dont have a choice...so d question is are you ready.... ![]() |
AjanleKoko: Where are you working now?Boss i'm still with the chinese firm i told you about oooo, d one that has turned its self to d backbone of telecom in africa n middle east. its being lovely so far, everything has being on point only this sense of no job security, you know the way it is with this people, they can tell one its all over the next minute without any prior info as most of us are in as contract staff.... |
