What Moghalu did was to join 2 different news items together.

The Executive do not buy cars for the legislative. All legislative spending are in their budget. This is why it's important that the National Assembly should release their own budget estimate just like the executive so the masses can adequately scrutinize their spendings.

The loan is for the disbursement of money to the poor in the community as agreed with NLC. (For the record, it makes no sense whatsoever to borrow money for palliatives)

All those civil servants most likely don’t want her cos she go automate their systems , flush out redundant staff and cut their inefficiencies .

The lady appointment was most likely influenced by Bosun, the lady is a pure private sector lady. The now ex postmaster is an APC guy who tried to name drop Tinubu into retaining the seat.

Last week Saturday, the man carry all the staff at NIPOST HQ addressing them that he has been reappointed by Tinubu and all that PR talk when he knows the lady was going to resume today.

Today both the ex CEO and the staff of the HQ blocked the entrance of the HQ saying Tinubu had reappointed their Oga until a directive came from the Presidency that if he doesn't vacate that seat immediately na DSS go pick ham before the werey left.

Most times when we engage on this issues it not because we are affected but to protect others.
Not everyone is able to afford such, people are rushing EPE now as new lagos, I actually endured the pain to go there on behalf of a family member, the sheer amount of estate going on in that axis is crazy, now govt is keeping quiet, few years down the line people millions would go down the drain.

Any responsible govt right now will be taking actions to ensure no estate is being sold or sited illegally, we really our elections to work, you think a governor will risk demolishing people wealth after collecting millions in permits. There is absolutely no way you build an estate in the Lekki axis without the government being aware.

Most of these processes are still done manually. Like Glorious says we should be advocating for a simplified online system. Most of the civil servants still prefer to do their own with paper n files.

It is your own duty as the one buying the property to do due diligence. It's not the govt that's selling the property to you, its developers/agents who most likely bought the land from omo-onile.

Before you pay that 200m to the developer and their sweet mouth, just carry your own lawyer and make check everything yourself else the story go long when govt later comes.

Chairman Govt is omnipresent when dem wan collect money to chop; the example you gave is 1 building if at foundation stage they demolish the property the guy would know they are serious, instead they collect money and wait for next commisioner in 5years to demolish a fully completed building probably sold on to an unsuspecting purchaser.

Boss my own advise is that if you are going to buy property or land, do your due diligent. Make them no use you chop.

Developers are another special kind of bastard. In the same mould as car dealers. They will build estate with legal k leg and sell to you. You will assume because of the razzmattazz that everything is in order.

See ehn story plenty. It's better to always involve lawyers that you know will do a thorough job when buying land or property in Lagos.

In my experience lagos will Never move without issuing notice. Problem is you cannot always tell whether na shakedown notice or serious notice. Basically the agents on ground are covering their bases. Just in case the ogas at the top come in down the line.

The people who bought houses there should hold the developer of the estate. That one should now hold LASG if indeed he has approval.

What do you expect him to say? The problem is with Lagos state govt; just like the omo onile situation they enable these things to happen because of corruption; like a whole estate was built. Couple of weeks ago I went property shopping with a friend along that axis; there is practically no way the govt is not aware of the projects from inception talkless of a completed estate.

Some property visited off freedom way you see stop work and permit revocations pasted on them, some even have a number of reissuance of approvals pasted.

I feel it is wrong to blame people who bought into an estate, most people are encourage to buy within an estate due to buying from omo onile is considered very risky...

Also is demolition always the only option? Canal can be rechannelled - I would assume offering the occupant to bear the cost of rechannelling is more economical and better outcome for all involved especially when the govt is culpable.

The govt is not culpable if they dont have legal approval. It's the responsibility of those buying land to make sure that whatever they are getting are legal. If you go give boys wey they work for these agencies money, na shakedown money you give them, if the govt decides to act, boss na sorry be the case.

You must always do your due diligence before purchasing land or property o. Govt is not omnipotent that has eyes everywhere, that's why it's important to do your own due diligence. Theres a building not far from where I was reside before, lasbca has pasted stop work on it twice due to the fact that the building in encroaching on the road, before I left that area the person that owns the building has almost completed the house because whenever the labsca officials come, he will wait for like 3 weeks then resume work there.

In 5yrs time, if another govt or commissioner enters and wants to build the road, we'll start hearing about how govt is culpable or how it's the govt fault.

Most of these developers usually get their guys in these agencies to just help them forge some documents to swindle those who are buying the lands until kasala like this happen.

My brother I don't know. Gawat actually uploaded a video of where the commissioner for environment was talking to them. They have been issuing them notice since 2021 so it's not as if they just woke up one day and decided to demolish the estate.

All it takes is for someone in a ministry to take charge and you will see how everything will change. It doesn't matter if others has been collecting revenue from them before, once govt remember to actually do their work, Otilo be that.

Most of these developers sef enjoy cutting corners more than anything and anybody building land or house needs to be extra careful. It might not even be 2 or 5yrs later but anytime the govt decides to act, na wetin dey happen be this.

This is where the problem is.

Those Lasbca officials no dey remit any money anywhere because those approvals are illegal in the first place. Until govt comes and they ask you for the approval you were given and you get to know the approval you paid bribe for was illegal.

It happened to my father in-law house in Abule Egba, those LASBCA officials were always coming to disturb him for this money and that money until he summon the time to actually go to their office and find out that 1kobo was not remitted in his name and his house actually has no issues.

Corruption just full everywhere.
