nihilistjnr: He wasn't talking about party ticket o, and he wasn't talking to party members when he said e gbe kiniyen wa fun mi.
Is Atiku an APC member? Why did he mention the favour he did to that one in the build up?
He basically said he gave his right to be president when Buhari came to him, then he gave up his right to be VP, but now it's his Time.
The people in that room were only witnesses to what he was saying. He was speaking directly to Buhari and Atiku and the Norhern elite.
Bros context matters a lot and you have to bring the context into the discussion.
Tinubu made that statement in Abeokuta when he was talking to party members who will be delegates in the party nomination exercise. Ogun State is the state of Yemi Osibanjo another aspirant in the race. It was only proper to set the record straight in Abeokuta so those delegates will know what he has done for the party and why he deserve the ticket.
He mentioned Atiku because Atiku was once a member of APC. He was basically saying he has had chances to run the party flag but gave it and supported others, now it's time for others in the party to support his own ambition. It is strictly a party affairs.
There's a reason why he didn't made that statement anywhere else except in Abeokuta. The state of Yemi Osibanjo.
homesteady: The question was if a Muslim Muslim ticket was going to change people’s mind from voting Tinubu.
Who was responsible for Owo massacre? Was it a drug cartel attack like it was in Ozumbulu?
You already concluded that it was muslims that orchestrated to attack the church based on religion ish. That's why you asked if the people of Owo will vote a muslim muslim ticket.
raumdeuter: He was talking to his boys who will become delegates. He was addressing potential delegates. The delegates will now choose him and present him to Nigerians when he will speak to electorates
Becoming president is a process and every step is important, you have to speak the language of the room at every step. You cannot speak the language of public campaign to delegates
nihilistjnr: I get everything you're saying, but the man was talking like the presidency was a favour owed to him, not an elected position.
That's the crazy part for me, because he wasn't talking to Nigerians, he wasn't talking to the people in the room, he was addressing a different WhatsApp group...the type that are holding on to 'kini yen'
The phrasing he used was the type you use in the game centre when you wan collect pad, or for coal tar when na your set....
He didn't even pretend to be campaigning for tbe good of the country, or to better the lives of Nigerians, and that's a next level of disdain for his fellow Nigerians.
That's a different level of hubris mehn.
He was talking to PARTY members. It was an internal meeting of party members. It's not the same thing as when proper campaign start.
He was reminding his parties members why they should support him to get the PARTY ticket.
homesteady: I’m sure you read Raumdeuter 2012 comment I posted?
It doesn’t have to make sense to you sha. But by the time it starts going round all churches WhatsApp groups and pastors start preaching about it, oh well
Bros no pastor will preach against a Yoruba man in a Yoruba church. Even Bishop Oyedepo will not do it.
homesteady: I hope you know Shettima was a commissioner under Ali Sheriff. So he was a commissioner under your alleged terrorists sponsor, he became the governor and was still helping his former Oga to house his boys?
homesteady: Boko haram top shot that has been sentenced to life in prison for bombing a Church and killing about 40 Christians was arrested in Shettima’s lodge in Abuja.
It is alleged that he is among those that was released during the Kuje jail break.
You don’t see anything wrong with this?
Borno State Govt Lodge does not belong to Shettima, it belongs to the Borno State Govt. Shettima wasn't even up to a year in office as Governor when this happened and there has been rumors that Modu Ali Sheriff is a financier of BH. Sheriff was the Governor before Shettima.
Unless you have any another evidence that link both men together, then this won't fly.
Agadinaagwuofe: Agreed no similar agitations and that is because christians were represented, if APC chose a christian VP then there are agitations and complaints you would have a point.
Very correct, APC duty is to win and I agree the choice is politically motivated but again it will set off a bad precedence that will ruin the country, no matter how much politicking you want to do I personally think it will be done with conscience, my grouse is if they succeed it will relegate christians to background and subsequent northern contestants won't bother running on Muslim/Christian again.
Ekiti ran a Christian Christian candidacy and won a landslide election. Ondo ran a Christian Christian candidacy and they won also.
If a party candidacy does not align with your interest, vote another party. It's a simple sturv
Pastor Oyedepo or Pastor Adeboye will tell their congregations (in the SW) to note vote Muslims when most of their congregations are from mulsims background or have muslims families.
onyemaair: FOR CONTEXT; This is a very influential YORUBA christian, preaching in a Northern state and telling the northern people there to vote Peter Obi.
Again, a Christian Yoruba man in a Northern state telling the christian northerners there to vote Peter Obi. Now factor in the whole catholic and Anglican and pentecostal churches doing this all over Nigeria consistently for the next 6 months and tell me impact will not be made. You really have to be blind and deaf to think that a Muslim Muslim ticket from the ruling party that has failed all Nigerians will not provoke a massive reaction. I'm just seeing delusions up and down here. APC supporters are being forced to deny reality because of their disillusioned support for a failed party.
He did the opposite. At least when Kemi Adeosun was still the finance minister. I can't forget that video where Kemi Adeosun says we will find solutions to our problems locally.
For one I think Buhari shouldn't have reappoint Emefiele as CBN Gov when his tenure elapsed. That man and his team are just playing tombo tombo with our monetary policy. Their inconsistent exchange rate policy has caused alot of harm to the economy. No investor will invest in an economy where the CBN keeps changing policy as they wish. Looks as if he is doing experiment.
Ibime: I think this is the opposite of what SAP is. Sap is letting the market decide the value of the currency and allowing free trade, and abolishing subsidiea
YES. The same thing IMF advised Buhari during 2015 recession.
