I finished my secondary school in a public school, the govt. paid for my waec, my junior ones are also going to public school, I know a number of people that withdrew their children from private to public school, schools are being re-constructed and re-modeled, free books and standard quality teachers. I guess that's meant for the elite also grin grin
The street which house my church has been tarred after been neglected for over a decade. No street along Ojodu-Berger through omole hasn't been tarred, I guess those roads are for the elites also and the poor man must pay for using those roads grin grin
LUTH which a family friend went too and get treated and even collected free drugs is also meant for the elites. grin grin
The maternity homes that are being built are for the elites also tongue
I'm very sure that only the elites will use the metro rail line when completed, I'm sure its the elites that make use of the BRT, I'm sure none of the masses will be allowed to pass through the badagry expressway when completed and commisioned because its just for the elites. grin grin
I'm sure that only the elites can pass through the BRT lanes without being arrested embarassed embarassed
I'm sure the office of the Public Defender is open only to the elite.

Why must Fashola led Government focus his view just on the elites. This is really frustrating. tongue

I'm a Nigerian. A proud Nigerian. Whenever i hear the National Anthem, i feel proud of my father's land. Yes, I'm a Nigerian. Since independence and over the years, we has a nation has passed through a lot, which include the civil war which many life's were lost, which usher in the military era and with it years of dictatorship and backwardness, The state we are in now was as result of those years of military dictatorship and rule. Even when we usher in Democracy in 1999 we have been plagued with vision-less leaders, leaders that claims to be fighting corruption but their middle names are LOOTING AND CORRUPTION. Our moral values has declined tremendously, we do not value the life of our neighbor anymore, there is rot and decay in virtually every sector of the economy. Our corrupt leaders has devised a strategy called DIVIDE AND CONQUER which they use to continue to loot our common wealth. We are divided among ethnic, religion and party affiliation with tribal sentiments/war the order of the day which has becloud our sense of reasoning and deny us the ability to think beyond those affiliation. We all clamor that we want good leadership but no one will go out to vote since they see it as a waste of time thereby denying themselves their basic right. They will be the first to castigate the same leader when he's not performing but they forget that he got there because they didn't go out to vote. I believe that Nigeria will be great, I believe that we as the people can make the desire change we want by standing on our right and not selling our vote. Let's go out and vote for the best and proven candidate irrespective of their party affiliation and vote them out when they fall short of our expectation. We must raise as one voice saying: ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, It doesn't have to be all about violence, we can carry out the revolution without bloodshed. Let's begin to hold our leaders accountable, starting from the LGA councilors and chairman, let's demand accountability and transparency from them and also the State Governors and Federal Government, let us hold the future of this nation in our hands and the future of our unborn generations. The change we need start from our homes to the community we live in, Let us all stand as ONE and rise beyond Ethnic, Religion, Tribe, Party Affiliation. Let our voice be heard, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, Let us raise the bar of expectation from our leaders and not be contented with little or poor performance, We have the power to be the change we so much desired, The change is within our reach, the power is within us, let us harness these powers and stand up against non-performance from our LGA to the Federal level, Let our leaders begin to see that they are there to serve us, Its our joint resources, Its our joint wealth, let's demand how our resources and wealth are being spent and let's all stand up against gross injustice and corruption. Remember, the power of change lies within us, Let's come together and say with one voice, WE ARE NIGERIANS AND WE DESERVE FAR BETTER THAN THESE.

We can change the future of our dear nation,
YES WE CAN.
We can create a nation which unborn generations will thank us for,
YES WE CAN.
We can be the change we so much desire,
YES WE CAN.
Because we are Nigerians and our voices must be heard
YES WE CAN.

Revolution has already started, we are already holding our grass-root leaders accountable, BEGIN TO HOLD YOURS ACCOUNTABLE ALSO. We will surely get there because YES WE CAN.

I'm a NIGERIAN, A PROUD NIGERIAN

Bjayjay: Which lga chairman are u going to hold responsible? The same lgovts that he's stiffling on the basis of joint account. Only giving them money that is just enough to pay salaries. Just name his achievement in osogbo or is d achievement in d air dat cannot mentioned?
shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked

Bjayjay: Let him tell us whether if as a graduate he'll be collecting 10000naira cutting bushes on d expressway. The only reason most of them took d job was cos they thought they'll be absorbed into d civil service after their service. The no he employed are not even up to 10000. All na propaganda. All noise and no work to show for it. He's just a tout in d governors office.
So a state like osun employed over 10,000 people and you still call it propaganda?? What really do you want him to start from? Stop hating for hating sake.
Politics › Re: What Do You Think Of This Ad From Osun State? by larride(m): 7:27am On Jan 14, 2013
Tolexander: majority of what you said are not totally right.
Osogbo and its environment i.e osun west senatorial district has been experiencing something close to an average of 20 hours of power supply per day since the creation of osun state. Besides, power supply excellence is not an accolade that is supposed to be given to the state goverment but the rural electrification which had already been put in place in that environment you mentioned before the inception of aregbesola's government.
About the free health care bill in that area, am not really sure cos the goverment developement provison to its state is not something that should be restricted to a place but should be spread evenly to the entirety of the states, which we are yet to enjoy in Ile Ife.
About the education sector, the only area i can commend him on is the reduction of the uniosun school fees and payment of the busary. Excellent in tertiary education. But not really justified in the primary and secondary education management cos i see no reason whereby pupils in these segments of education will be promoted without the use of their academic performance though the education is free.
As I said before, what I posted is to the best of my knowledge and my experience, though I'm an indigene of Osun, I don't live in Osun, I only came down to Uniosun for my teritary education. I don't know about the other city or town but those three I mentioned earlier Okuku, Inisa and Ikirun are developing, some will argue that Okuku was developed by Oyinlola because its his home town which is true, Ogbeni Rauf though is trying, the primary and secondary school students here are well behaved, neat and decent, someone above me says they didn't have chair or books which makes me laugh because they have enough books, the state government distribute free books to all students in both primary and secondary school. Its high time we start demanding what our LGA chairman/councilors are doing, if your district is not enjoying the dividends of the current administration, then go hold your LGA chairman responsible and demand accountability from them. I'm not holding brief for ogbeni but he's trying his best. Someone said he's done nothing in Osogbo and bla bla bla. Its a pity that some people will not see anything even if those achievements are shoved on their faces.

Osun a dara ooooooo

I'm presently schooling in Osun State, Okuku to be precise and I can say confidentially that Ogbeni Rauf is indeed working, we have stable power supply, the education sector is revamping, someone above me say the health sector is poor but I dare call him a lair, well to the best of my knowledge, we all enjoy free health care around in Okuku, Inisa and Ikirun with the Government owned hospital working 24/7 everyday. The only people you will see complaining about Ogbeni Aregbe are the NURTW and those PDP members. When i left Lagos Sept last year to resume school, I was seated with two Igbo girls that were posted to Osogbo for their NYSC program, when we reached Ode-Omu, they were asking me if we are in Osogbo, I told them NO, that we are in Ode-Omu, a small town, they were so surprised with the neatness and how developed the place is, they told me that if a small town is well developed like this, then how will the state capital looks like, they weren't disappointed when we get to Osogbo. Though there are still lots that Ogbeni have to do but he has done 110 more than his precedessor. There is room for improvement though. Osun a'dara oooo
