You do the maths
That is 12liters/100miles(164km)
A 2014 Corolla with 1litre of fuel you'd cover 14Km


The higher the model of the Toyota Corolla the better mpg

2500 will but not 2k,
2500 was 13.5litres and I said corolla consumes 1litre/6km so meaning Maryland to ajah under bridge to and fro will give us 90km in total.

90km divided by 6km will give us 15 which means you will be needing at least 15litres of fuel to cover 90km distance. Not accurate but roughly 13.5litres of fuel will take you to and fro and this is without traffic...




This should proof my point, how much will 2k fuel gross you on bolt without surge, you will say 10k max and this is without surge, how much will bolt charge you from Maryland to ajah, that will be 7k minimum right, so going by your assertion, you said 2k will take you to ajah from Maryland to and fro, so are you saying 2k will gross you minimum of 14k without surge

I don't know what you all about mehn, but am an Engineering graduate from one of the prestigious federal university in Nigeria. You wan teach me physics certain factors causes a care to consume fuel when you maintain a constant speed let's say 80km/hr you consume lesser fuel

Not using
Tyre or alignment problem
Maintenance
Oil type etc

And corolla consumes 1litre of fuel per 6km and dividing 200km by 6km will give you 33.3itres of fuel and 33.3itres of fuel now is 16k+ so you will need 16k+ fuel to get 40k gross now...

Before the hike that 33.3 litres was just 6k....


Even on bolt, with 8k fuel(488/l) which is about 16.3litres of fuel, can't gross you 40k except there's high surge like 1.9 and it will still be hard to gross the 40k, Maybe 30k is possible.

Let's break it down, from ikeja(maryland bus stop)to ajah underbridge is like 45km
And 45km divided by 6km gives 7.5litres of fuel and if you take trip from Maryland bus stop to ajah under bridge on 1.9 surge, the highest estimate will be 15k, let's now assume you take to and from on 1.9 surge which the km to be covered will be 90km, and you must have consumed total 15litres of fuel, both to and fro must have given you 30k gross and you have just roughly 1litre of fuel left in your car. And 1litre can only cover 6km distance, and 6km on 1.9 surge can't give you more than 2500naira...

We were refining petrol in 'substandard' refineries to keep costs down. (The info is on google.).

And the refining cost is a part of why subsidies cost too too much.

There is still the cost of transporting the product from refinery to end user by haulage/trucks.

That costs money. Before, part of the subsidy costs went to paying for such things, now that's ended.
