A video making rounds on social media shows the moment residents of Ikota Housing estate in Ajah, Lagos state, converged for prayers over the faulty transformer in their area.


A Twitter user @Kay_Tylor who posted the video online, revealed that Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDP) officials have brought four different transformers to their area and the four have gone bad, throwing them into perpetual darkness.

This prompted the residents to converge to pray against the principalities and powers causing the transformers to go bad all the time.


“4 transformers bad in 1yr. The Ikota Housing Estate community in Ajah Lagos, had to result to prayers. Divine intervention desperately sought. @Gidi_Traffic @EKEDP”, she tweeted.

Man cries out after buying fake N60,000 “Do as I Say” Kayanmata but his Oyinbo client refused to send him money.

A Nigerian man has cried out in pains after he bought “Do as I say” kayanmata from an Instagram vendor and it didn’t work.


According to the man, he bought the kayanmata for almost N60,000 from an Instagram vendor who assured him that her products works wonders.

However after using the kayanmata for over a month, his client still didn’t send him money and he got upset and reported the issue to the seller.


The seller maintained that it wasn’t her fault it didn’t work, adding that the fault is from him. The seller said he should have gone for the “curse breaker” kayanmata before buying the “do as I say” kayanmata.

Former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke says the Nigerian system has so degenerated to the extent that Nigerian youths now look up to internet fraudster popularly known as ''Yahoo Yahoo' boys as their role models.



The Minister who is currently being investigated and tried in several courts cases for alleged financial frauds committed while she served as a Minister under the Goodluck Jonathan administration, said this while delivering a lecture at a virtual event which was also attended by her former boss, ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, on Friday August 7.



The former minister said

“The ones that have swag, the Yahoo Yahoo boys as my son would say; these in short, are the role models they are looking at. These are the ones that reinforce negative societal norms and values.

This is a travesty of an unfolding tragedy for us. Why have I spent time talking about fatherless homes and the impact it has on our children? The truth of the matter is that an irresponsible boy tends to become an irresponsible man and it is therefore a vicious cycle. If you plant yam, you cannot harvest plantain.”



During her speech, the former Minister emphasized the need for youths to imbibe the culture of hard work as there are no shortcuts to progressing in life.

''There are no shortcuts to working your way up the ladder of life. Progressing in life, in work and relationships, marital or otherwise, is always dependent on consistent effort and hard work.

As we create more responsible young men, we will generate more responsible fathers which will in turn engender a more sustainable society and build a greater nation of successful Ijaw men and women.” she said

Nigerian clergyman, Obie Jason, has said it is wrong and unbiblical for Christians to date before marriage.



According to him, when you date, you get dirty. He is of the opinion that dating does not in any way reveal the true character of a person and so people should just hit it off by getting married when they meet



Speaking during a sermon, Obie said

''Do you know it is wrong for Christians to date? Someone would get mad but just hold on a little. If you check the scriptures, the first time the bible talked about marriage, there was no dating involved. That was Genesis Chapter 2. The bible said God caused the man to sleep, the man he made Adam and then he took the rib out of his body and then he made the woman and then brought the woman to the man. There was no dating.

You will say it was only one man and one woman. Now, the bible also showed us in the case of Isaac, the son of Abraham when he got married. There was no dating.

If you read the bible, the new testament which was written for Christians, , you would find out that the only place the bible talked about getting married or preparing for marriage was in 1st Corithians 7:9. This scriptures says ''Get married''. If you meet someone and you feel that I can go ahead with this one, the bible said just get married. You don't need to delay.

The whole dating stuff is something that is borrowed from the world and it is destroying a lot of Christians. A lot of women and young ladies are having heartbreaks. Some of them are affected and impacted mentally because a young man will pick a lady and then carry her saying lets get to know ourselves and all, promise her marriage and after a while he will dump her and the lady will have heartbreak. We see a lot of things going wrong''



He went on to fault clergymen who subscribe to dating and have even written books about dating.

''You can never see anywhere in the bible where it is stated that we should date and the scriptures never imply that. That is something borrowed from the world and it is not good. When you date, you get dirty. Dating is simply a game played by unbelievers'' he said

A video has shown the moment a mother of two teenage girls tried to prevent the arrest of the pastor who allegedly raped and impregnated her daughters.

Recall that it was reported that a certain Pastor Nduka Anyanwu, who claims to be a Minister at a Lord's Chosen Church branch in Oshodi, raped two sisters, aged 13 and 17, over a lengthy period in the name of casting out evil spirits from them


He allegedly began raping the 13-year-old girl when she was 9 and began raping the 17-year-old girl when she was 16. Both girls recently became pregnant and he promised to marry the first one and asked her to keep the child while also allegedly promising to procure an abortion for the younger sister.


For promising to marry her daughter, the mother of the girls was filmed protecting her daughters' alleged rapist when police officers attempted to arrest him for his actions.



"Leave him. I said he's not going," the mother of the girls said as she placed herself between the pastor and the police officer who was trying to take him to the station.


Stop The Abuse Foundation, the NGO that reported the abuse to the police, said the parents of the girls were aware that the pastor has been defiling their daughters so as to cast out an evil mark that brings them badluck.
