They use it to check the number of times you've been paid. Formerly, it was an individual sending the money to us but now it seems like it's coming straight from the ministry. The description of the alert has changed.

Take this with a grain of salt but in all our verification exercises, nobody has really looked at the cgpa side. I don't think the people verifying are aware of the clause. I know some people that have done verification without results because theirs wasn't ready. I'd say don't worry. As long as its a 2.1

But the truth is the thing will be too much esp for old awardees.

As for me, I'm only printing the months in which I have been paid. That's what I did during last verification and no one complain about it.

From my school fsb group, the lady in charge of us said we should print from March to dec 2021. You know some old awardees re applied and got 2022 or is it 2021 award because the 2020 list came out late (applications for next set were already on). Some continued with old and new award and have chopped double money.

So I guess from your award letter, they can deduce when your award started and how many payments you should have gotten then they'll crosscheck with your bank statements from the date of first payment to the last. Just print the range you were given and highlight the payments for them.

Sorry, I can't really remember. Just know the exams are on English, maths, general knowledge/commerce/current affairs. I'd say the English is at waec level. Lots of synonyms and Co during my time. The math too.

Okay, I'm 30. I've been through some serious shit like I'll health, several near death experiences, severe poverty, betrayal in every form n shade, dysfunctional family, loneliness and addiction. I hope you don't judge me if i come out as unserious and confused. Seriously, it's the effects of the things I've been through.

So, I need to make a life defining decision and i need to make it urgently. But i don't know how to or what to do.

I took a loan from a commercial bank ( the loan went bad and i couldn't pay. My business was almost dead. I had to take initiative and kickstart it again, diverting from the original plan. It worked. I started making a few hundreds a month. I started repayment of my loan but, unfortunately, the loan has already carried too much interest. Everything I'm paying goes to interest. Loan amount not really reducing.

I need to pick up other skills or just have another stream of income since I'm free most of the day..
So, I'm thinking of getting a laptop ( my baby damaged my previous one).
And learning forex trading, cryptocurrency.
Or learn a few programming language ( i don't like programming from onset).
Or learn any other skill you suggest.
My other option is to go back to school. School of nursing or msc. But money would be a bit of a challenge here.

Or travel to the US using illegal means ( i hate this option).

I have a sister in the USA who entered through F1 dependent visa. She's been there for about 4 years now. Is there a way she could help me move?
She has been on my neck for relocation but she's not giving me money for the things i need to put in place to make relocation possible. My funds are too tight to fund travelling.

Or you can look at the earnings of those in tech and force yourself to develop an interest. I'd probably advice you go back to school (School of Nursing). It's 3 years and there are no strikes. (That's if you like nursing). As a nurse, you won't require much funds to emigrate legally to any Western country. They perpetually have shortage of nurses so you could get a job in, say, UK, US etc and move. UK especially. 90% of naija nurses are there

Interestingly, I like how you're still heading to my point- they didn't need a (CS) advanced degree to achieve those exploits in DS. They just had technical knowledge from their various studies.
Also, there are other existing related courses to DS like Econs, Stat and Maths. If they didn't further in these but in other non-science courses instead and still made it, that means a degree isn't a must.

On a lighter note, did you actually classify neural network as communications engineering?

To go far in Data Science, you need an advanced degree (Masters or PhD). Interestingly, all the Meta DS roles I've seen so far for the UK ask for a PhD in econ/stat/math etc. Most others ask for at least a Masters.
DS is extremely Stat-heavy. In my opinion, it is far better to do a masters in Statistics than in DS because I've noticed most DS Masters are still new and don't really have great math or stat component. They'll just teach you python/SQL/ML which you could learn on your own.
Beside DS is not really an entry level role; that's DA. Most DS have like 2/3 YOE in DA or something related or an advanced degree.
