The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arraigned one Usman Muhammad Dajji of the Gombe State Sharia Court of Appeal before Justice Sa'ad Muhammad of the Gombe State High Court on five count charges bordering on obtaining money by false pretence and forgery.


The suspect who is the Chairman of Sharia Court of appeal staff multipurpose Cooperative Society, Gombe was arrested by EFCC operatives following a petition by one Sani Abdullahi of Sam Omosco Nigeria Limited, a company that specializes in computer supplies and accessories, alleging that sometimes in December, 2012, the suspect approached him with a contract proposal to supply 3000 Units of Computer Laptop to the Sharia Court of Appeal Cooperative Society with a condition that he must pay the sum of N550,000.00 as commitment and processing fee before the execution of the contract.

The money was paid after being convinced as all document relating to the contract were presented.


Unknown to him that the suspect forged the official stamp of the Chief Registrar Sharia Court of Appeal, Gombe and the signature of one Abubakar Aliyu the Cooperative Society's Treasurer, for the furtherance of his dubious activities and diverted the said sum to his personal use.

Count one of the charge read:

“That you, Usman Muhammad Dajji, being the Chairman of Gombe State Sharia Court of Appeal Staff Multipurpose Cooperative Society, sometimes in December, 2013 in Gombe, Gombe State within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court did with intend to defraud, obtained the sum of Five Hundred Thousand Naira (N500, 000) only from Sani Abdullahi of Samomasco Nigeria Limited under the false pretence that the said sum were to be utilizes for processing irrevocable standing payment order from the office of Accountant General Gombe State in favour of the company and diverted same to your personal used thereby committed an offence contrary to section 1 (1b) and punishable under section 1 (3) of the Advance Fee Fraud and other Fraud Related Offences Act, 2006”.


The accused person pleaded not guilty to all the charges read against him and the prosecution counsel S. M. Aliyu asked the court to fix a date for trial as all his witnesses and exhibits to tender before the court were ready.

In his ruling, Justice Sa'ad remanded the accuse person in prison custody pending the filing of his bail application while he adjourned the case to Monday, 13 March 2017, for trial.

SMS goes through the GSM network so to say and usually not free.
You can buy "bulk SMS" service from a Network provider (assuming you want to send to their phone numbers).
Other 'web' operators also sell bulk SMS via the web, for example, REBTEL.

I will assume you know their Email Address as well.
You can send Multiple Emails to all the Addresses AT ONCE... just write one Email and include everyone's address in the "Cc" part but if you dont want everyone to know you sent to the other, use the "Bcc" (blind copy) and that is it, even of they dont have WhatsApp or other such Social media methods

Secondly: Its a good idea to use Power Point tot explain things... better understanding and professionalism!
But you must consider that there are many people and the single Laptop may not be big enough for all to see.
Do you have a Projector you can blast it unto for all to see?

Its not for me to urge him to use made in naija products because I dont know what his reasons are for making his choices.

@all, choice is a funny thing I have seen plenty in this regard, I have seen guys with multi million naira projects that will say, Spyder just use ordinary tiles for me, whats so special about imported tiles. And yet others will call me and say "if you use anything apart from Spanish and Italian tiles in my house, na police go settle the matter o"

I have seen tiles selling for as much as N28,000 for each square meter, and people still use them. I cannot condemn them because I dont know where they are coming from, if someone makes money and wants to spend it, how can I stop him. His spending the money will lubricate the economy, providing jobs and income to more Nigerians, so I rather encourage them.

Having said that, I have seen very good samples from both Nigerian and imported tiles.

I did a Solar install for my folks about 6 months ago, I bought Trojan deep Cycle batteries from a friend who lives in the states and got the Inverter/charge controller from the UK here but due to the logistics of getting the panels to Nigeria on Time I opted to buy from a "supposedly solar engineer" on here, after talking to him on the phone for hours and explaining how I like people to stick to their words, he still bloody tried to pull a fast one on me and supplied inferior quality panels . I was disappointed to say the least I explained to him calmly what I think he did and he understood and rectified the situation.

This was someone whom I spoke to about how I have come to trust Nigerians less and less based on experienced and they always trying to pull a fast one on you but still went ahead to pull a fast one on me.

TRUST is the most expensive and scarce item, when dealing with any Nigerian, ....not to mention a Nigerian Contractor/Business person!
GREED has overtaken our sense of dignity and integrity!

Some will even use Religion and the Holy Books (Walahi-talahi or "I am a Christian" slang!) to swing you off balance while deep in their heart, they know they are scoundrels!

I support buying mad-in-Nigeria as well but on one condition: It must not be an imitation or fake of the imported version.

I would also expect that we dont ban what we dont produce at all or produce in a quantity not enough for our local consumption because that creates unnecessary scarcity and attendant increase in price.
