i might use my dad's security strategy we used to call "danger". It is a single light bulb and wired. No visitor or family after 8pm. gate locked. That thing was effective. But you can determine what happens to them, when they come and before they leave..... if they can leave.

Now, being a "family matter", we should ask ourselves: Does JAILING him add any benefit to the family, at this point?
The answer is obviously NO! Not in the interest of the wife nor the children or even that of society.

The "common-sense" approach using "ADR methods" is to first punish him in a way that he will always remember without destabilising the family structure (tell him to do community service...sweet streets, clear gutters, do "School Warden" school children crossing, e.t.c).

After the 'punishment', let him write an under-taken not to "over-flog" his children again.

Then send him to "Professionals" who can HELP HIM tame his anger and let him complete a full course on "Anger Management".
The whole idea should be how to help him become a better Dad who can pass instructions to his children without using cane at all or over-doing it.
He needs Anger-management classes.

Generally, we parents must realise that 'All children dont learn at the same rate'.
We were once children ourselves and l can bet that not all of us attain 1st position in class, from day 1.... so why do we then put too much pressure on our kids, just for lagging behind?
Instead of flogging them, a good parent must vow to keep teaching his child (by repetition and trying other "teaching methods) UNTIL that Child can cross whatever huddle that is making him/her lag behind.

DONT KEEP BEATING YOUR CHILD OR CURSING HIM..... TEACH AND TEACH AND TEACH THEM (without using cane or verbal assault!) until they get what you are teaching.

Some would not even get it (slow learners), some would only get it if you use symbols as they relate more with such methods than cramming.

Govt needs to help this father and others like him, to become better fathers.... instead of pouring Petrol on am already burning issue.

My Take, as a father.....a responsible and loving one for that matter, with grown 'kids' to prove it (yes, they will always be 'kids' as far as l am concerned )

The South East Governors do have their own caucus meeting, it does not mean they want to take over government!

What about APC Governors, PDP Governors, Arewa Forum, Afenifere forum, Ohaneze, Niger Delta forum, e.t.c... should we also "read meaning" int their meetings and say they all want to prevent a Yoruba Vice President from "fulfilling the letter of the Constitution"?

Al Jazeera is known for stoking trouble and unrest in other countries and that is why their Editor was locked-up and charged for acts against the state in Egypt and other places.

In the unlikely event that Buhari cannot continue to hold office, Vice President Osinbajo WILL become the President and NOTHING will happen.

Having said that, our President "Sai Baaba" is in good spirits, has overcome his illness and would be back in Nigeria within the next week so all these speculations are the handiwork of children of ANGER and HATE.

As to handing over, Power has transited from a Northerner to another tribe, a few times in the past so it wont be the first!
Recall that even GEJ took over Power from a Northerner (Yar Ardua) and beat another Northerner to win the Presidential elections in 2011!

I suspect (l may be wrong) that most of you are worried that "deep inside everyone of us" we know the truth: What caused the problem we are facing right now, who laid the foundation (through wastage of our resources, looting of our savings in the good days, e.t.c) and how the Current administration is fighting an Uphill battle to recover the economy and WILL RATHER VOTE THEM IN 2019, THAN VOTE ANOTHER SET OF KLEPTOMANIACS THAT WOULD SET US BACK ANOTHER TEN YEARS!

The likes of BeremX should be appreciated and not denigrated for what she perceived to be the lookout for a better Nigeria, albeit in the wrong person. It valid to say her likes do not support wrong doings UNLIKE some who will see the wrong and still say all is well. GEJ wasn't better but events only proofed he was better than Buhari.

We deserve better hence the emergence, as many thought, of Buhari.

Is it based just on the "current price" of commodities (compared to what they were before Buhari took over) ...or you took a wholistic look at the cause of the price increase and apportion blame to who is responsible?
