I like this thread because its very educative and eye opening, but I have an issue with Nigerian building materials sellers. Even if you go to site with your tape and discover that the 9" inches block you are paying for is just 8" , I am not sure if there is a court to drag them to for compensation. Lawyers in the house, where can one get justice against those building materials sellers that cheat? How can we make them comply with implied terms of agreement? I guess its not all about just detecting the fraud, it should also extend to making them know that justice can be found.
I am always furious anytime I discover this menace and they continue doing it.

Hello guys, please tell us about light situation in your area at present. In my area here in Ajah (Lagos), recently we see electricity for just 20 minutes in a day. The 20 minutes is divided into two periods, between 8am and 12pm (10mins) , between 12.01pm and 7.59am (another 10mins).

Its very terrible couple with fuel scarcity, please share your experiences.

Government through PPP should arrest bad roads and housing deficit in the country by signing an MOU with Julius Berger to construct Federal and State roads, while feeder roads be constructed by indigenous Engineering companies. Companies must make use of Nigerian experts up to 55% of their workforce, this way employment issue is tackled.

Banks, Civil Engineering firm and Architects should also be employed in a scheme to tackle Naija's housing deficit and up to 70% of the workforce should be indigenous.

This way we provide jobs, as well as low budget for infrastructural development.

The chairman of Okada Association should appreciate the fact that less accidents are being recorded in states where Okadas are banned from operating, especially on major highways. Most of the Okada riders do not know what is called highway codes and thereby resulting to fatal crashes simply because of miscommunication between the car drivers and Okada riders.

On the other hand, Governor Fashola should have adopted what is called "parallel change over system" when he was promoting the bill that banned Okadas from operating on the highways, sometimes I wonder why he was very successful at implementing the law that bans Okadas and yet still struggling to curtail the excesses of OMONILES (Landowners) in Lagos state. The Omoniles are complete menace to the society, they reap where they have not sown. Yet, the Governor is aware of this and he seems to be nonchallant about it. Also, the Agberos are another nuisance that he has failed to control in the state and he behaves like he is not aware of the issues.

The fact is that Nigerians are getting wiser and the status quo is changing day by day. Some of the polices do not have human face, thereby rubbishing the good works that have been done. This should serve as a lesson to other incoming governors to critically study a policy by understanding its consequences before implementation. May God heal Nigeria!

I have always doubted the authenticity of the fact that Ghana enjoys constant power supply not until i came here for a visit. Its seriously an embarrassing moment for Nigeria that we are still struggling to enjoy uninterrupted power supply for a whole year.

Since I arrived here in Accra on the night of 6th July, light was taken for only 2 mins and later restored. Until we take our future into our hands, Nigeria will never improve especially by calling for ban on generators and heavy plants. The bad leaders are seriously benefitting from the importation of generators and sale of petrol and diesel at the expense of poor masses. Can we please organise ourselves and stage this protest once and for all? Seun, please act and be a better pathfinder by knowing how to organize nairalanders and other youths to call for ban on importation of generators. They will sit up if all of us sleeps in darkness.
