Politics / Re: Akin Alabi Commissions ₦100 Million Modern Football Pitch by latola05(m): 11:08pm On Nov 18, 2022 |
Akin Alabi is a disappointment to the constituency that he represents in Egbeda/Ona-Ara. The residents of Iyana church to Olodo have been in darkness for the past 10years and he(Akin Alabi) was aware before he emerged in 2019. The cost of radiating electricity from Iwo to Olodo is less than N50m and which will benefit over 200,000 residents of Egbeda/Ona-Ara instead he’s deceiving the public about a fake stadium at Urban day secondary school. Whoever is the political adviser of Akin Akobi is a total failure, whoever that votes for you from the communities mentioned below in the coming election will labour to death. You have disappointed the people of Iyana church, Wakajaiye, Oki, Pagun, Adeleye, Erunmu and some parts of LALUPON. You still have a chance to retrace your steps before February 2023 |

IBEDC is the greatest organized criminal I have ever seen. In my area here in Ibadan (Lalupon) to be precise, we have been relying only on candle light for the past two weeks. Who cursed Nigeria with darkness? Who are the people holding Nigeria’s light? Anyone that votes in APC in 2023 will have him or herself to blame. Bunch of liars Mohammed. |

7 Things You Should Do Before Buying a Foreign/Locally Used Powerbike in Nigeria If you are ready to buy the foreign/locally used motorcycle you've always dreamed of, do your research before making this purchase. Consider these tips to help you make an educated decision. 1. Decide what type of bike best fits your lifestyle If you are planning on long rides, you may want a touring model with all the bells and whistles (heated grips, seat and foot warmers, surround sound, cruise control, etc) to make your journey a little more comfortable. A sports bike, however might be more appropriate for shorter rides. You should definitely evaluate your riding goals before deciding on which type of used bike to buy. 2. Research the value of the used motorcycle you are considering You should check what comparable models are selling for before buying. Try checking bike shops or visiting online bike sales and pricing sites. These sites can provide thousands of sortable, customizable motorcycle classified ads nationwide. 3. Research availability of parts before committing to the purchase 4. Decide where to buy You should evaluate the pros and cons of buying from a franchised or independent dealership, or from a private party. 5. Inspect the motorcycle before buying, or having a qualified mechanic check it out for you The goal is to know what you are buying and how much additional money you'll have to spend to make it roadworthy. It's critical that you thoroughly inspect the motorcycle, because one missed problem could make your purchase more expensive than you anticipated. 6. Test ride the bike This is your opportunity to make sure that you are not buying a bike beyond your skill or experience level. A high performance bike, for instance, should not be driven by a novice rider. It will also give you a chance to make sure that the bike fits your body. You don't want to ride a bike that's too tall or not tall enough for you, as it could be difficult for you to control and maneuver. 7. *Make an offer* Now that you've found the motorcycle you want to buy and have done your research on its condition and history, it is time to make an offer. There are four prices you may wish to consider at this time: 1. The asking price 2. Your highest price 3. Your target price 4. The offer price Best Wishes! www.bikersacademy.com.ng IG: @bikersacademy1 |

Sports / Tips For Riding Your Motorcycle In Traffic by latola05(m): 3:52pm On Dec 18, 2017 |
Close your eyes and recall your last ride in heavy traffic. Imagine the vehicles surrounding you, crowding you, cutting you off. Imagine yourself monitoring closing speeds, reading street signs, noticing and anticipating traffic lights. Then imagine guessing what pedestrians will do, or how slippery that painted line might be. And those drivers with cell phones, imagine the crazy commercial bus drivers (Danfos) maneuvering and changing lanes without giving signals.... imagine trying to guess what they're going to do. Riding in traffic can be a nightmare, especially for street-riding newcomers. Is it any wonder so many motorcyclists crash and burn while riding on congested streets? It's amazing how many different tasks motorcyclists deal with on normal traffic-choked commute. Doing it successfully means processing a multitude of items at once and reacting correctly to each. 1. Watch Driver's head and mirror 2. Trust your mirrors, but not totally 3. Never get between a vehicle and an off ramp 4. Cover your brakes 5. Be noticed 6. Be ready with the power 7. Constantly scan your entire environment 8. Study the surface 9. Ride in open zones in traffic 10. Running interference, this one's easy. Let larger vehicles run interference for you when negotiating intersections. @Bikers Academy 1 Like |

Business / 10 Ways To Remain Poor In 2018 by latola05(m): 12:29pm On Dec 17, 2017 |
1. Never wake up early Keep stretching and turning in bed until you get too hungry to continue dozing, if there are no bedbugs, why hurry to get up?? 2. Never plan how to spend your money Whenever you get money, start spending it right away and when it's finished, you try to count and recall how you spent it 3.Don't think of saving until you have real big money How can you save when you earn so little? Those telling you to save are not sympathetic to your burning needs. 4. Don't engage in activities usually reserved for the "uneducated" How can you a graduate engage in petty trade or home based production? That's for people who never went to school. 5. Don't think of starting a business until an angel comes from heaven and gives you capital. How do they expect you to invest before you get millions of Naira? Even though more than half the businesses in your town were started with a few hundred Naira, you as a smart person can only start with millions 6. Complain about everything except your own attitude Blame the system, the government and the banks that refuse to lend you money. They are all bad and do not want you to get rich. 7. Spend more than you earn To achieve this, buy consumer product on credit and keep borrowing from friends, families. 8. Compete in dressing Make sure you wear the latest clothes among all workers in your office. Whenever your neighbour buys a new phone, you get one that is more expensive. 9. Get yourself a nice second hand car that cost more than three times of your gross monthly pay 10. Give your children everything they ask for since you're such a loving parent. They should not struggle for anything because you do not want them to suffer that way, they will grow up lazy and hence poor enough to ensure they can't help you in old age... See you in 2018! ayobase: I mentioned that bribes are taken from unmetered consumers, I use a prepaid meter so there's no way to give out bribes. The challenge is educating the informal consumers on their rights and how they can realize the implications of giving out bribes., ordinarily, the meters should be free but the reverse is the case only in Nigeria. |
Politics / Re: Eight Discos Turns Down 1,337MWH From TCN Despite Erratic Supply To Consumers by latola05(m): 5:51pm On Dec 28, 2016 |
agabusta: IBEDC is the worst of them all. I live around Iyana Church-Lalupon road (Ibadan), all they are interested in is just to collect bribes from unmetered consumers and the community hardly enjoy 5hrs of electricity at a stretch in a whole week. They claim they are broke to invest in a capital project that will energize the communities concerned, I am yet to see electricity overnight for the past two years that I have been residing in this community. SHAME ON YOU IBEDC . It is now very glaring that the whole privatization exercise was full of fraud, the importers of generators and sellers of PMS dont care about the people, all they are after is their daily sales as a result of the darkness. The truth is that most of the DISCOs top executes are the true owners of generator selling companies. The way out of this mess is for everyone to switch to SOLAR POWER energy, I dont know why the leaders dont want to take Nigerians out of darkness since 1960. What a country to live in without 24hrs electrictity.... 2 Likes |

Travel / Re: Photos: Transport Ideas That Can Reduce Traffic/Accidents In Lagos. by latola05(m): 2:49pm On Oct 18, 2015 |
Explorers: Lagos state's is seriously under heavy infrastructure deficit when it comes to transportation sector. The state is loosing huge millions of naira as a result of everyday gridlock and unorganized traffic congestion. A city-wide railway system is the way out, while successive governments continues with the project regardless of political affiliations. We lack true patriots in this generation, our population is growing geometrically while infrastructure is growing arithmetically. Combined strategies and efforts should be explored to give people some relief. Cable car system is also another alternative, ferry services should commence from oworonshoki to VI/IKOYI/IKORODU and other water ways. Transportation is as important as good health system, bad transportation network subjects people to stress and subsequently health problems. APC needs to be more proactive about transportation in Lagos, open a public forum and let people express their views on the way out. Thank you. |
Politics / Re: Police To Begin Stop And Search On Roads And Highways Nationwide by latola05(m): 9:55pm On Jul 07, 2015 |
Now that the police will be back on federal highways, Nigerians should endeavor to invest on tiny car cameras or better still pen cameras to record both audio and visual conversation between them and the police. If the IGP is serious about protecting Nigerians while the police will be sent back on the roads, he should explore technology that will record all activities of the police on the road. The bulk of the job lies with the citizens, secretly record any encounter you have with the police and report any form of abuse to the appropriate office via the two right channels. Together, we can make Nigeria a better place to live! 1 Like |
