givan:
Tinubu himself is indirectly responsible for the death of his son as well as that of many other innocent lives. According to the news, the boy had heart attack and was rushed to a hospital in Lagos state ( where his father was once a governor). 'I think', if the father of the child had done something to put our hospitals in Lagos state in good shape while he was in power, God willing, the life of his child might have been prolonged.
His father stopped being governor of Lagos state years ago. Why not blame current administration for not maintaining health facilities, since then?

Politics › Re: Anti-Grazing Law: We Have Started Leaving Benue - Myetti Allah by laudate: 6:57pm On Nov 02, 2017
GoroTango:
The Fulani have constitutionally enshrined rights to freedom of movement and any law depriving them of that right is unconstitutional. What would be the case if Fulani's house's of assembly were to pass a law restricting Benue indigenes from exercising their own rights? This problem cannot be resolved by keeping the Fulani out, it will some way or the other have to involve the Federal Government's intervention
The Fulani herdsmen have no right to unleash sorrow, tears, blood and mayhem on innocent villagers in Benue. What gives them the right to do so? The governor is only trying to protect his own Benue people from these herdsmen, which was why he promulgated the law. If a trouble maker consistently causes problem for you in your house, won't you send him packing?

By Lasgidi Online

As the Benue state government yesterday declared the prohibition on open grazing, Fulani herdsmen early this morning attacked some villagers in Logo Local government area of the state.

Mr Ortse Kwagdom of Tombo ward in Gaambe-tiev, Logo LGA Benue state met his death this morning from gun shots by Fulani herdsmen when he went fishing.

His relation Mr Hingir Akaa who was with him is however responding to treatment at a public health facility at Ayilamo, while four others who were with them are still missing at the time of this report.

http://www.lasgidionline.com.ng/2017/11/fulani-herdsmen-kill-one-injured-many.html
Where is GoroTango? When we said these herdsmen should leave Benue villages, he was saying the herdsmen should challenge the constitutionality of the law. This article here is the exact reason why the law was made to ban the Fulani herdsmen! Let the herdsmen go back to their own villages! The law does not guarantee freedom to unleash mayhem on innocent villagers.

Your freedom shouldn't encroach into and hinder the freedom of another. If your freedom hinders or strangulates the freedom of others...,,,it is called evil against humanity...

GoroTango:
I am disappointed in you, you are more intelligent than this. Try and look at the problem holistically
I have looked at it holistically and my advice is the best one, anyone can give to them. Let them go back to each of their villages and launch attacks on such villages, each time their cattle goes missing, since human life of Benue villagers is not important to them.
Politics › Re: Anti-Grazing Law: We Have Started Leaving Benue - Myetti Allah by laudate: 6:35pm On Nov 02, 2017
GoroTango:
The Fulani people just like every other Nigerian have a constitutionally enshrined right to freedom of movement, and I hope Myetti Allah challenge the constitutionality of that law up to the supreme court. Also in order to solve the problem of perennial herdsmen-farmer clashes, the government needs to buy land from the farmers and rent it out at subsidized rates to the herdsmen so that they can establish grazing reserves. Anything short of this is nothing but a cosmetic, window dressing solution to the problem
Miyetti Allah groups should challenge which law? What about the laws they have ignored each time they launch attacks on defenceless villagers? Let the Miyetti Allah groups go back to their villages and rear their cattle there, instead of attacking innocent Benue villages and residents.
Politics › Re: Aroms Aigbehi On Jide Tinubu's Death & Alex Ekwueme's Coma by laudate:
Adieza:
A while back I wrote and spoke about how corruption destroys the lives of people in Nigeria. Not just the poor but everyone. So I read in the papers this morning that Bola Tinubu
lost his first son. That must be devastating. He
reportedly slumped and died which is a sign of a heart attack. My brother in law got a heart attack two weeks ago in The Netherlands. The ambulance was at his house within 5 minutes and they rushed him to the hospital and stabilised him for days before he was operated. some of his arteries were blocked. He is back home now already walking around. No matter how rich you are in Nigeria you cannot fly out of the country during a heart attack. I also read that Dr. Alex Ekwueme is in coma. He was also one of those who ruled Nigeria before and didn't build our medical system. The governor of his state is thinking of flying him out of the country for treatment. It is hard to fly someone in coma out of the country. The same Alex Ekwueme, few months ago erosion almost washed his home away. What a way to get old? When I read all these I wonder why these people don't feel outraged to want to change things today.
What have to happen for our elites to say Enough is
Enough?
Guy, you have spoken well. The poor state of our healthcare system almost makes my heart bleed. cry If you rush anyone to the emergency care section of any of our general hospitals in this country, you better start fasting and praying that the person should survive. undecided This is because the doctors on duty may not show up in time to attend to the patient, or the hospitals may lack the critical equipment needed to stabilise the patient or their staff may even be on strike.

There is a lot wrong with our healthcare institutions. Only a major overhaul of the existing facilities and personnel, can get things back on track again. sad

Even if Ekwueme had put things in order when he was VP, what makes you think things would not have deteriorated to an abysmal level after he left office? shocked He stopped being VP in 1983 or have you forgotten?

I still don't understand their fixation or obsession with the Southwest. OK, SW is not developed according to them yet they still board God is Good Motors, Chisco, ABC transport and troop into the SW daily. They do not stop in Lagos but run to Abeokuta, Akure, Osogbo, Ado- Ekiti, Ife and other parts of the SW. If the SW is so bad, why can't they stay in their region and refuse to come down to the SW? Millon's of Hausa, Edo, Efik, Urhobo and people from other ethnic groups including my own, live, work and reside in the SW, but you will never see them opening a thread to insult the Yoruba people of the SW, or trying to ridicule their cities or town development efforts. So why are the IPOBian Igbo youths so clueless? When it is not as if their region offers any special benefits that cannot be found in the SW?

You sound like a local, untravelled Yoruba boy who sees Lagos as the beginning and the end. Ikoyi that is more like a district. How many block of flats in festac? Anyways, i leave you to your ignorance. Who am I to school you?

You wonder why all the big southwest owned estate managment firms are running to the east and south south..

All the jide Taiwos, diya fatimileyin and co and a host of many more firms are in every city in the south east/south.

In the east once you are able to convince a landlord to give you his property to manage, do you know what it means to your account statement?

Travel Mister man. That's all I can say
See who is talking. shocked How big is Enugu? How many districts does it have? The same Enugu that you can go round the whole city in less than 2 hours? huh How big is Onitsha itself? Well, I believe traditional 'attire', 'dressing', or 'outfits' are more acceptable terms. undecided A Scottish man would never call his kilt a 'costume,' neither would a Japanese woman refer to her kimono as a costume. If Igbo/ss dominate these areas, where then do yorubas dominate.

We still have festac, amuwo odofin, satellite town, okota, ejigbo, buknor, mile 2, apapa, maza maza, vox, okoko, gbagada, ajao estate...all this places are Igbo dominated. Am sure you know that too.

Seeing the threads showcasing the Idoma and Tiv brides in their beautiful costumes, i was impressed and was also inspired to create something similar for my ethnic group.
I like the idea of cultural appreciation so here goes.

Lalasticlala, Mynd44
Sir, please do not use the word 'costumes,' to describe Nigerian cultural attires or outfits. Costumes are worn by actors trying to mimic a character, or thespians in the world of make belief. It is poorly educated, ill informed and biased Western journalists that regard the cultural attires or traditional dresses of other countries, as 'costumes.' Would they refer to their suits and ties as a costume? Or would they call their ball gowns or tuxedos, a costume? That word is an insult, when used to describe the rich, resplendent, regal attires worn by the Hausa, Yoruba, Efik, Igbo, Itsekiri, Urhobo, Tiv, Kanuri, and other different ethnic groups in Nigeria. Thank you. undecided
