The founder of Kuramo Group, the late W.O. Odulate, set up the business many years ago. But under his son Koye Odulate, Kuramo Group has diversified to include Kuramo Industries which carries out manufacturing activities at its' integrated facility in Lagos, utilising the most advanced machinery and processes, including CNC and CAD/CAM computerised systems. The company manufactures various components from wood, metal, glass, steel and stone. These include high-quality Doors, Windows, Wardrobes, Kitchens, Bedrooms, Flooring and Furniture of international standard. Complementing these are fully resourced engineering, technology, research and design facilities, which gives its' workers a unique ability to deliver turn-key projects. Another subsidiary under the Kuramo Group is Kuramo Homes, which offers highly engineered structures built with block and mortar. Each unit is made by combining sophisticated design and technically advanced specifications, very effective thermal design, highly engineered electrics and plumbing, and extensive use of pre-manufactured elements made by KURAMO to create very compelling products. Kuramo Group also owns COPAC, which produces an analgesic known as Alabukun, that was invented by the late Jacob Sogboyega Odulate, in 1918. It is rare to find Nigerian products that have maintained its quality, consistency and production levels since 1918 till date. KURAMO Homes & Projects provides for the first time in Nigeria, professional project delivery for contemporary premium homes and projects. Famous for the quality of its' KURAMO doors and joinery, the firm now offers homes from 2 bedroom cottages to 6&7 bedroom villas, professionally built and exquisitely finished including KURAMO doors, windows, kitchens and flooring. Specially trained crews carry out various aspects of the fitout and finishing of KURAMO buildings. Our fit and finish is both incomparable and impeccable and the key is precision and attention to detail.
Superbly designed, detailed and engineered by KURAMO, these homes are destined to set the new standard. Traditionally built with block and mortar, they incorporate extensive use of high quality pre-manufactured elements such as engineered timber beams and posts, trusses, joists, lintels, window hoods and surrounds, stairs etc, all by KURAMO.
Delivered via an integrated end-to-end world class service, each KURAMO HOME is precision built, project managed and impeccably finished by our in-house architectural, engineering, manufacturing, construction and fitout teams. http://www.kuramo.com/KuramoHomes_Highlight.aspx ;
Another arm of the Kuramo Group is COPAC (Nigeria) Limited, which manufactures the Alabukun brand. In neighbouring countries such as Benin Republic, Ghana and Cameroon, the eye-catching Alabukun brand is to be seen advertised everywhere. Alabukun products are sold in several towns and cities in the USA, the UK, in Europe, Brazil, Jamaica, and yes, even as far away as China. Anyone can buy Alabukun products on-line, off-line, under-bridges and over-expressways. So in 2012, the descendants and family of the late Jacob Sogboyega Odulate also known as Blessed Jacob celebrated the 50th anniversary of the passing on of this towering man. In a manner in which he would have been proud, the celebrations were modest and without fanfare. http://www.newsexpressngr.com/news/detail.php?news=3899

Taofik Adegbite is the MD of Marine Platforms. The company started its well services operation, by partnering with Well-Flow ,for the Provision of Well-bore Cleanout Tools and Chemicals. It has successfully carried out this operation over the years, for Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company (SNEPCO) on the Bonga field, Exxon-Mobil on the Unam, Ubit, Usari, Mfem and Ehra fields, Total Exploration on the Akpo field, NAE on the Abo field and Afren on the Ebok, Okoro and Okwok field. The company is currently breaking new frontiers through the deployment of coiled tubing on its' vessel for acid injection operation. In strategic alliance with other technical partners, it offers other services such as: Wireline services, Slickline services, Tophole and rigless drilling operations as well as Survey services, Subsea Solutions, Well Services and Vessel Chartering.Taofik Adegbite is a Nigerian entrepreneur and a known business leader in Africa. He is the Chief Executive Officer of Marine Platforms Limited. And the first Nigerian that delivered an Offshore Subsea Construction Vessel for oil and gas sector in Nigeria which is named African Inspiration by the Norwegian government through the first ever shipbuilding contract between a Nigerian company and a Norwegian shipyard. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taofik_Adegbite In April 2013, a Nigerian company Marine Platforms Limited ordered a Havyard 857 subsea vessel. On 5 November, Havyard’s shipyard in Leirvik in Sogn handed over the ship to the Nigerian company, and on the following day the ship was named and duly celebrated in Fosnavåg in Møre og Romsdal county. When the contract between Havyard and Marine Platforms was signed, many years had passed since the last time a Norwegian shipyard delivered a vessel to an African shipping company.
We already knew of Marine Platforms because they had bought an offshore vessel from one Norwegian shipping company and chartered one from another’, says Havyard CEO Geir Johan Bakke.
“When I met Taofik Adegbite, who is a co-founder, owner and CEO of Marine Platforms, he made a good impression on me right from the start. The first impression has been confirmed, and we have cooperated very well throughout the project. There have been challenges along the way, and we have to admit that the challenges relating to financing, have been somewhat greater than for most projects, but our cooperation has always been very constructive, and solution-oriented.
On the basis of our experience and the relationships we have built, we have great faith in the possibility of achieving more in cooperation with Marine Platforms and in the African market in future,” says the CEO. The vessel bought by Marine Platforms was eventually named AFRICAN INSPIRATION. http://www.offshoreenergytoday.com/marine-platforms-counting-days-to-african-inspiration/

Aderemi Makanjuola is the Chairman of Caverton Offshore Support Group. He holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Leicester and a Master's degree from Manchester University, both in the United Kingdom. Makanjuola was the Executive Vice-Chairman of the old Devcom Merchant Bank (which later merged with Equatorial Trust Bank, to now become part of Sterling Bank Plc in 2011), before setting up Caverton Offshore Support Group. Caverton Offshore Support Group has 2 subsidiaries - Caverton Helicopters Limited and Caverton Marine Limited, which both operate extensively in the Nigerian offshore oil and gas logistics industry. The company has a rapidly expanding fleet of helicopters, private aircraft and vessels, coupled with its acquisition of key offshore assets and strategic partners. His sons - Bode & Rotimi Makanjuola are executive directors of the company. Bode Makanjuola & Rotimi Makanjuola are two silver spoon brothers, who are heirs to the Caverton Group, a $1 billion Nigerian conglomerate with operations in gas distribution, offshore support vessels and aviation services. The brothers are the patrons of the Caverton Polo team. Their father, Remi Makanjuola, ranks as one of Nigeria’s wealthiest businessmen. In Polo, the horse is critical to success, and since local ponies are not flexible enough, most Nigerian polo patrons usually prefer to import their horses from Argentina- widely considered the home of polo.
The importation of Argentine ponies - believed to be the best suited for the game, costs a tidy fortune. Some patrons pay as much as $30,000 for a pony, and they tend to have as many as 15 ponies in their kitty for their teams. They also have to bear costs of salaries for two or three high handicap players, grooms, trainers, vets and fitness experts.
The Nigerian polo circuit is gaining a newly found popularity, and the Lagos Polo Club - the premier polo club in the country - is usually brimming with the crème de la crème of eager enthusiasts. It is now the unofficial social spot for Nigeria’s most affluent individuals. For those who are not skilled enough to play, you must be rich enough to be let in. Membership of the club is extremely exclusive-almost like a high-end secret society. Successful business tycoons, idle trust fund babies and wealthy, paranoid heiresses searching for true love all throng to the club in much the same way fanatical Christians flock to the church. https://www.forbes.com/sites/mfonobongnsehe/2011/05/23/nigerian-millionaires-embrace-polo/#6adb69491f36 ; http://caverton-offshore.com/index.php/board-aboutus

Tell them what you want the machine to do and they will come up with solutions. Unfortunately, most of them operate below the surface. There is one I came about recently with contracts with the UN for the supply of engineering solutions in subsaharan Africa but yet has limited online presence . It seems you word with guys in the SME sector exclusively. That is great. Is there any website where one could find a list of these fabricators? Especially the ones that produce agro-processing machines? |

Another big player in the LPG Domestic Gas Sector is Otunba Olanrewaju Runsewe, who owns Rungas Limited. He has concluded plans to manufacture composite domestic gas cylinders made of fibre & steel using the latest technology. The project has started and would soon be completed. He is the founder and current Chairman of Rungas Limited, and has a (BSc) in Management from Birmingham City University, in the United Kingdom. His company already owns several LPG gas dispensing skids, in different parts of Lagos and the Southwest. Otunba Runsewe has over 14 years in the Utility and Energy Industry in the UK. His career spanned companies such as British Telecom, British Gas, and eventually NPower, which is one of the third largest multi-utility energy companies in Europe. His vision has always been to set up a firm that offers services and solutions, which can meet the yearnings of domestic and commercial energy users, especially in West Africa. He is an advocate of safety, security and efficiency when it comes to domestic gas appliances. Rungas Limited a subsidiary of African Liquefied Petroleum Gas Equipment Company and its German partner, Kautex Maschinenbau, have signed agreement to establish a $50 million composite cylinder manufacturing company at the Lekki Free Trade Zone in Lagos.
The Chairman of Rungas, Mr. Olanrewaju Runsewe, said MEMR was chosen for the event because Lagos State is the advocate for use of LPG in Nigeria with its Eko Gas project.
He said the construction of the composite cylinder firm is expected to start next month and to be completed within 15 months with a target production of 500,000 cylinders per year.http://thenationonlineng.net/rungas-german-firm-sign-pact-for-50m-cylinder-firm/

The Chairman of the company, Barr. Femi Okunniyi believes massive industrialisation, is one of the ways for nation to recover from economic recession. According to Okunniyi, the presence of numerous functional industries in the country would provide employment opportunities and meet other needs of people across the country. He noted that since the Araromi-Ayesan company came back to life, it has ensured that it met up with all its responsibilities to the State and its host community. Another of the directors on board, is Ms. Kehinde Balogun-Kuku. “This company was almost dead but we have been able to resuscitate it. The annual turnover of the company has improved greatly from what it used to be. Through the articulation of the Board, the host communities, Araromi and Ayesan, we have been able to bring alive the company again”, Okunniyi said. She is a stickler for good quality. Have you ever heard her speak? She is really inspiring. In her own words: "I believe that a really great jar of cream can change the world. We will accomplish this by ensuring that the women in our supply chain have the needed incomes to feed, clothe, and educate their children.
Our journey began while seeking a natural solution to our boys’ dry & eczema prone skin. We re-discovered Shea butter, a natural healing balm sourced from the Shea fields in West Africa. Our interest in the efficacy and sustainability of Shea butter led us back to West Africa, where we developed a relationship with the women Shea producers.
Our connection with the women changed the focus of our business. We realized that Shea butter had the potential to change women's lives, by alleviating poverty and providing women with an income, to meet the needs of their children. In November 2015, we interviewed over 100 women Shea processors in Northern Ghana and asked them what they feared most. Their responses boiled down to one common fear, not having the resources to provide for their children.
As Vice Chair of the Global Shea Alliance Sustainability Working Group, I am excited to be part of the discussions that will usher in a new era of sustainability that values the input of the women whose labor is instrumental to the industry. We believe when you empower a woman, she uplifts her children and transforms her community. That is how a jar of cream can change the world." http://www.shearadiance.com/about-us/ |

Dont worry, we will buy all just like we have bought over lagos mainland. We are going for the island now. One aba made G-wagon is Ñ30million. So only 4 will give me one of those houses. Don't forget to uproot or excavate all the lands and houses you bought on Lagos mainland and take them with you to Biafra when you leave. Or do you intend to leave them behind? |

Nari is now sold across 21 outlets after one month of trade within the UK including Selfridge, one of the UK’s most prestigious and premium department stores. https://www.allthingsankara.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/Campaign-Nari-Palm-Juice-2-524x524.jpg Oh, I had forgotten this guy. The founder of NARI Juice is Tola James, a 24 year old Nigerian and British entrepreneur who owns Nari Juice, a drink made from coconut palm sap. He is also co-founder of Go Getters Global, a network for entrepreneurs based in the UK with a passion for Africa and managing partner of investment firm Bridgewater Holdings. He’s raised over £60,000 from investors to start his business. He shares the story of what inspired him to go into the business.... "I’m always thinking outside the box and if a ‘good’ idea comes to mind then I write it somewhere. After not seeing my father for many years, I took it upon myself to travel to Lagos to see him. It was an exciting time for me; I met cousins, aunties and uncles and I had one of the most memorable Christmas celebrations that I can remember.
My father is from a place called Ogun State in Nigeria, he took me on a tour across Lagos and through Ogun State to show me the work of my grandfather (God rest his soul). I was inspired to see the houses and apartments that were built by my grandad, during his time on earth. I left Nigeria feeling energised, inspired, motivated and my burning desire to succeed was as strong as ever. My grandad left a legacy that I took upon myself to continue the entrepreneurial drive and creativity that was passed down.
As a strong believer in God and a firm believer in faith, I understand the importance of developing yourself from within: spiritually, physically and mentally. One of my favourite books of all time is Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. He informs his readers about the power of auto-suggestion which is the medium for influencing the subconscious mind. I quote ‘Be on the alert for these plans, and when they appear, put them into action immediately.
When the plans appear, they will probably “flash” into your mind through the sixth sense, in the form of an “inspiration.” This inspiration may be considered a direct “telegram” or message from Infinite Intelligence. Treat it with respect, and act upon it as soon as you receive it. Failure to do this will be fatal to your success…"
I worked on my idea and three years later Nari Palm Juice was born… Nari is now sold across 21 outlets after one month of trade within the UK including Selfridges, one of the UK’s most prestigious and premium department stores" http://trueafrica.co/article/tola-james-the-entrepreneur-taking-nigerian-juice-global-eyeson2016/ Can you imagine someone being inspired by what he saw in Nigeria, when others within that same country can only see the negative sides of the place?
