The truth is very bitter. Igbos even after they were left with only £20 after the civil war have become very rich through hard work and enterprise. The own 70% of Nigeria. From the South to the north to the west. No wonder Arewa Youths out of hatred and envy are eagerly waiting for abandoned property.

However, this is not 1967....this is 2017. We shall achieve Biafra through a referendum, come back to Nigeria as foreign investors and continue to dominate. Person wey pass person pass am
Stop dreaming. sad It is time for you to wake up. undecided Nigeria does not need your kind of investment, when there are other ethnic groups and nationalities that can offer far superior types of investments, than you can ever hope to provide, waiting in the wings. Point of correction. sad Igbos do not own 70% of anybody's land outside Ala Igbo. Mba nu! The governor was referring to 70% of the CofO papers that he signed. I won't indulge you pathological shortcut mentality here; it's not my making that you are not grounded in the subject under discussion. Take the advice I proffered and get schooled in a proper academic environment.

All your driveling and antics for me to chronicle ALL issues in the Cameroun case are just consistent with your nature but I won't be moved by it. I referred you to the case ab initio and if it's in your nature to refer people to a subject you know nothing about, well I am different.

The manner of the struggle itself is extremely foolish, which makes your goals unattainable regardless of their perceived merits.

What are your options?

Civil disobedience? You will be continually ignored until it turns violent, which is not in your interest.

Referendum/Restructuring? You need serious diplomacy to make the required constitutional amendment possible. Diplomacy that you and your kin have defined as "ass-licking the Abokees and Afonjas" and is thus forbidden (highlighting the legendary foolishness of the IPOB approach)

The UN? This is a dead end because the same charter expressly recognizes the sovereignty of Nigeria. Read the clause on self-determination exhaustively to understand this reality. Laudate can help break it down to IPOB sized chunks for easier understanding if you are serious.

War? This is your only realistic option in light of the ideology of your agitation. This is exactly what the erudite Prof. Oyebode was emphasizing. I'm sure you're not inclined towards this option judging from the tone of your original post.

Your only real two options are diplomacy or war. Therefore to tread the path of diplomacy is in alignment with the concept of IPOB becoming a political party through which it can lobby to promote its interests, despite the rib-cracking hilarity of the idea of IPOB's ability to play Nigerian politics.

grin grin grin Re-Engineeer canals?
Instead of demolishing the entire Lekki and VGC like they did to Maroko

Ambode u are wasting ur time and Lagos state money, if u like restructure the canals, flooding on the island will remain inevitable, as long as Lekki phase 1 and VGC still exists, the flooding will never stop, those estates are meant to be canals/ drainage ways in the first place and not housing estates.

The greatest fear of Lagosians is now The Eko Atlantic Project, the inevitable DOOMSDAY mother of all flood due to the Eko Atlantic is less than ten years from now--Quote me anywhere

The only lasting solution is to Demolish all the houses in Lekki and VgC and convert the whole land to CANAL in order to allow for proper flow of water and prevent flood.

There should be nothing like Lekki phase 1, VGC and other estates on lekki /Ajah axis, those places should be entirely a canal and not housing estates---Quote me anywhere
Oga, there is no need to demolish houses. sad All they need to do is to construct proper storm water drainage channels that are several feet wide and many metres deep, to channel the floodwater away from different areas of Lekki, Victoria Island and VGC, straight into the lagoon. The lagoon front in all these estates, should be left open and kept free from any structures, so that floods can drain away naturally through those foreshore areas and riverbanks. undecided

Dolphin Estate Ikoyi is another water-logged area that deserves attention. angry When they allowed the mosque and church there to exceed their boundaries, as they sand filled the natural drainage channel through which water runs off into the canal, the whole estate started having massive floods from 2001. Across the bridge on the other side, there was a time the canal close to Osborne Foreshore was unblocked and de-silted, so that storm water could flow through unhindered. This was done under Fashola. Ever since Ambode came in, that drainage canal has been blocked, and the floods have decided to make Dolphin Estate-Ijeh road, their permanent abode. undecided

They worked tirelessly under Fashola, to ensure the canals and storm drains were weeded and kept clear of blockage, before the rainy season started. What happened to that office, after Ambode took over? huh They all went to sleep. mtcheew...

Another thing is that a lot of dredging and reclamation of land from the lagoon, has been going on unabated in Lekki, Banana Island and its environs, without adequate attention being paid to the surrounding environment, or infrastructure. angry The new 150 hectares estate called Orange Island coming up at the end of Freedom Way, past the 3rd gate of Lekki Phase 1, is a classic case. Land is daily being reclaimed from the lagoon and the sea, so that more plots can be sold to the nouveau riche, at exorbitant prices. Ok, they keep forgetting that water will always find its level. My friend, that you quoted some report of what the ICJ said to the two parties in paraphrase has actually lent credence to what I've been saying. The judgement of the court in that case has several issues which came up and it's one of those that I've been drawing your attention to but your parochial stubbornness won't allow you to understand basic principles of advocacy. I am beginning to think that I have been wasting my time and I doubt if you are even a lawyer. Otherwise, how on earth can you not understand rudimentary aspects of analysis of judgment.

Well, you ask: "So why are you still making noise about it?" It's simply because your so called Russia trained prof is putting up similar feeble arguments in his interview as was done by Bola Ajibola (and Co) who was a judge advocate in the case.

All your submissions are are akin to what a historian will do: just give us a narrative of what took place without more. This is not an issue for historians, okay? Thank you.

I have come to realize that the point I am making is beyond your understanding and apparently there is nothing I can do to change you except you take your time to undergo proper training in international law, case analysis and advocacy in a proper university, not all these Nigerian private universities you people run to for quick action
You see, until you can free your mind to think logically, I can't help you. sad You keep running from pillar to post clutching at straws, in a bid to sound important. Unfortunately, your ignorance becomes more apparent with every effort you make.

Can you see all the empty shadows you have been chasing?

Ok, outline those several issues contained in the judgement of the court, so that everyone can see what you are trying to say. List them out one by one. Just ensure you do not end up confusing yourself as usual, in your parochial stubbornness. undecided
