searching4love:No, they want Biafra. How many times must this be repeated, for you to understand it?? Nobody should pull them back, abeg. Who told you they are even interested in any political appointments made by Buhari?? Take time, oh. |
PedroJP:Haba! You people always think alike. You are always to quick to label anyone who does not share your point of view as Yoruba, ignoring the fact that there are over 150 ethnic groups in Nigeria. If you have a problem with anything I have stated here, why not address it directly? Now, what is your business with my tribe? Do they owe you anything? Why do you guys have this obsession with tribe??! Oya, I am a Nigerian with relatives from every single part of this country. Go and hug a transformer, if you do not like my answer... ![]() NOBLEDANDY:Ehen... you have NOT disappointed me. Your shallow level of thinking is very obvious. Show me clear proof, and evidence to prove that Laudate is Yoruba. Every correct answer gets 20 marks! ![]() |
NOBLEDANDY:Chai! Chisos! Hehehe....Unfortunately, you are asking the wrong person for answers to these questions, oh! Why don't you direct your questions to the Yoruba people, hmmn?? My own job is to sit here quietly, watching as events unfold. I will collect gate tickets in this corner, because I know you Igbo people will not disappoint me when it comes to exposing your obsession with the folks from the South-West, and hurling vitriol in their direction. Hehehehe..... ![]() |
NOBLEDANDY:Where is my mat?? And my popcorn? Nobody should block my vision when the free-for-all starts, oh. ![]() I said it at one time, that if the Igbo do not mention the Yoruba in one day, their happiness and progress cannot be complete. And now, they have just proven me right, again. ![]() Biaketa, bring one mineral there... am waiting for the cyberwar to start on this thread. ![]() |
Why are so many retired ambassadors suddenly passing into eternity, these days?? Is it through lack of appropriate medical care, or what?? Something needs to be done to check this trend. ![]() May God protect us all. |
Oh my goodness! May his soul rest in peace. May God console his family. |
ayokellany: How did Yoruba get involved in the cancellation of this project ? For God sake why are some Igbos so embittered ? What exactly did the Yoruba do to your people that some many of you live among them on their land yet you abhor so much hatred, why ? What exactly have the Yorubas stolen from the Igbos ?Er... point of correction. I have looked through a lot of posts, and usually the first attack comes from the Igbo on the Biafra threads. Just saying. What usually happens is that when someone (who could either be Igbo or non-Igbo) dares to disagree with a point of view, made by any of the pro-Biafra groups, no matter how harmless or innocuous it might be, the Igbo group is quick to launch hate-filled missiles and invectives in the direction of that dissenter, labelling him "Yoruba," as if it is a dirty word. They pour vitriol on him, tear down his person, lineage and ethnic group. It doesn't matter if that person is Yoruba or not. It doesn't matter if his comment is innocent or not. He must be "Yoruba," for disagreeing with them! And all the imaginary sins of that ethnic group are visited on him. ![]() Of course, since no one has the monopoly of hate and rancour, the Yoruba groups then reply in kind! Using every weapon in their arsenal. Let me give you a classic example. Someone opened a thread about how the South-South was not going to be dragged into Biafra. Shey, you are following me? Kindly read the initial post: TVTKOKO:Other responses came from different Igbo posters. Some were acerbic, but nothing major. After that came another post that eventually turned the thread into a free-for-all: I've re-posted it below. onenaira3:Now, by the time this took place, all gloves were off. The Yoruba people replied in kind, and the Igbo ended up cursing out the Yoruba and blaming them for all the real and imaginary woes that they have suffered. And the thread derailed. Shey, you get the gist? If you visit other social forums dedicated to Igbo causes like BNW or www.biafranigeriaworld.com, you will not find non-Igbos on such platforms. They keep away. So why don't those on this platform, restrict such threads to those kind of forums if they do not want other non-Igbos to respond? I know the usual hate-filled comments will now start rolling in, in response to my post...but really I can't be bothered. It takes too much time, effort and energy to hate. *yawn* And I would rather focus on more constructive things. ![]() |
Chai!! Na wey I dey since?? I don miss all the drama. Why una no call me, nah?? ![]() |
NewNigeriaMind:ROFLMAO!! LWKMD! ![]() |
nwadiuko1:Hehehe... You had to quote my post 3 times to ask this question?? ![]() It shows you did not understand most of what I said. Read it again with an open mind to get the answer. |
OfoIgbo:Igala people have stated over and over again that they do NOT want to be part of Biafra. Yet you still insist on conducting some kind of referendum for them. Na by force?? Did they ask for one??! ![]() When Scotland decided on a referendum the last time, they did not force the Welsh to also partake in it. So why are you insisting the Igala/Idoma must take part in one??! ![]() Why not conduct a referendum for the other non-Igbo groups as well like Bini, Yoruba etc?? Must people repeat their statements in Igbo, for you to get it??! OfoIgbo:Guy, the Igala/Idoma were never part of Biafra in the first place. Whoever drew the map to include them initially, should re-draw it again to exclude their lands from your map. It is very simple. Your plans for territorial expansion will not work, if you include the Igala/Idoma. Thank you. |
OfoIgbo:Sir, keep your referendum for the SS minority tribes that decide to join Biafra. The Igala and Idoma have never expressed a desire for a referendum. Stop forcing your wishes for a referendum on them, simply because of your plans for territorial expansion, biko! |
OfoIgbo:Guy, it is not a case of coming to any realisation. Your people have used NL to postulate their desire in several threads that Biafra is an SE Igbo/SS Igbo cause. No problem. There are no Igala or Idoma groups that have come out en bloc, to claim that they want to be part of Biafra. So why do you want to drag them into something they have never expressed a desire to be part of?? If ancestry is your claim, well the Anioma Igbo-speaking groups claim to descend from Benin. Should they drag the Bini people along with them when they decide to head for the Biafra enclave. ![]() So why are you laying claims to Igala and Idoma land, biko nu?? Whatever nocturnal visit may have taken place, it cannot be representative of the larger Igala/Idoma group. So please delete your plans of terriorial expansion that include these set of people. Or are you planning to re-eanct another Midwest annexation, like your folks did in the late sixties? ![]() @LastProphet, are your people joining Biafra?? Kindly let us know. This Igala issue has already been debated on several threads: adamskutty: adamskutty: torkaka: AndreUweh: |
Pls respond. Thanks. |
Your craziness don get part two!! ![]() |
bashirolu:Am sorry, I do not subscribe to this notion. Why should they go to Fernando Po or Cameroun?? ![]() Their land is the South-East part of Nigeria, and SS Igbo areas. End of story. |
tunergy:Bros, ask ladies who own their own cars to draw up their list for you. What constitutes essentials to one woman, may not be an essential item to another. ![]() For example, I do not know any woman who would leave a church hat in her car when she only attends church one or twice a week. Even those who are church pastors or ministers would not leave a hat permanently in their car, as they would be more comfortable with a beret or scarf kept in their handbags, during the week. Anyway, what is the proportion of such women among the population of ladies that own their cars?? Are they in the majority or minority? ![]() Neither would most ladies leave any make-up in their car. Make-up cakes up and melts in the heat. Ask any lady. They would probably have a lipstick and a few other items in their handbag or purse, but are highly unlikely to leave it in their car. I learnt this the hard way once, when my sister forgot her expensive Chanel lipstick in the car. I was the scape goat sent downstairs at 10p.m at night to retrieve it! Tissues? Yes, most definitely. Check. Sun shades? Very unlikely. It would be in their handbags. Slippers? Yes, most definitely. Check. Car charger? Of course. ![]() Hand cream & sanitiser? Most likely. Check. As for the other essential items, you need to talk to a wide variety of ladies to understand what they would, and would not leave in their cars. Am not the right person to ask, as I have no idea of what goes through a woman's mind. ![]() |
Can it go for =N=6 million? kindly confirm. |
Duru1:Goodluck to you in your shutdown operations! Call Nigeria whatever name you like, if it makes you sleep well at night. The rest of us are not bothered. ![]() |
Duru1:Nah, you are the one displaying a moronic mindset. If you took time out to read Atlantian's post, you would have discovered that my own remarks were merely a response to his earlier comments. So I cannot see the reason for this unwarranted hostility reeking from your post. Should I paste Atlantian's comments here again for you to read? I hope it will make sense to you. Kindly go through it with an open mind. Atlantian: |
OfoIgbo:Nobody hypnotised the South-South into believing the Igbo did not have oil. In fact, the specific details of oil in Ala'Igbo emerged when 2D and 3D-seismic analysis became widely used. New technologies are developing all the time, in the exploration and production field. Don't be suprised if the small oil and gas deposits currently off the coast of Badagry metamorphose into a major oil discovery, by the time 4D & 5D seismic systems are developed. As for the Igala and Idoma, why for goodness sake are you insisting that they take part in a referendum when they have not expressed any desire to do so, and neither have they expressed any desire to leave Nigeria? Since when has the pro-Biafra group started speaking for them, in such a cavalier fashion?? ![]() Save your referendum for all the minority groups in the South-South like the Izon, Efik, Ibibio, Etche, Ikwerre etc., whose input you need for Biafra to happen. Last time I checked in the media, the Igala and Idoma were not looking to the South-East or Biafra for salvation. They really don't need your referendum. ![]() |
OfoIgbo:Why should Igala and Idoma vote in a referendum to join any other country? Did they tell you that they were tired of belonging to Nigeria?? Is Biafra no longer a South-East Igbo/SS Igbo affair? Why is Igala and Idoma being mentioned?? As for Anambra having the largest gas reserve, that remains to be seen. Only relevant data from expert geologists, can prove that. ![]() It is really not a big deal however even if it is true, as there are countries without oil that have survived and are still surviving till date. Apart from that, the remaining oil & gas deposits in Nigeria as well as non-oil minerals would be adequate, all things being equal. And more people would have to be a lot more creative in providing intellectual or knowledge-based services, and generating ideas that can create wealth. ![]() Finally, it takes a lot of energy and a myopic mind, to hate. So hatred for the Igbo does not exist in the dictionary of many of us. We prefer to expend our energy on more constructive things. ![]() We just want them gone, so that everyone left can have a breathing space from their clamour, hate and rancour on the internet and in the media. ![]() |
dondaddycares:Hehehehe.... I laugh in Greek! When Yorubatic started his antics, he had a lot of support from some Eastern folks, while others were busy complaining about his posts. Now that Ibotic has started her antics, everyone is also protesting. The comic relief is just too much, biko nu. ![]() Thanks for educating her. |
Interesting! What is the proportion of oil blocks in Anambra & Imo? Is it greater than the ones on the outskirts of Lagos, or the ones in Ondo, Edo, Kogi etc? It would be interesting to check the seismic data results. Last time I went through comments in the media, there was no confirmation that Igala and Idoma people had any intention of leaving Nigeria. So those drawing mental boundaries through their land believing it would form the northern part of their new country, need to have a rethink. And the largest number of private oil or fuel depots were concentrated in the South-West, last time I checked. So also were LFTZ, Olokonla FTZ Tin Can Ports, Apapa ports etc. Anyway, there are countries without oil, that have survived. Ah, well...what do you know? ![]() |
AutoAffair:Haba! I did not say that. I only wanted to know, if they are in good condition. Is that too much to ask? |
nurey:Guy, scarf, church hat or hijab is not compulsory. People have been trying to explain to you, that a lady can be single and may not have any particular religious inclination. So why on earth, would these items be in her car??! ![]() In fact, in many pentecostal churches like RCCG, Winners' Chapel, Covenant Christian Centre and TREM, their women can attend services without wearing a scarf or church hat! ![]() Please concentrate on the essentials, biko. |
carnegiefan:And honestly the fact that you cancelled every word in my post, shows that you feel threatened by my remarks. If those with a clear, unbiased mind read it and respond with courtesy, then I'd respond in the same manner. My post was not even a response to you. Now kindly remove your petty self from my mentions. Thanks. ![]() |
No response??! |
9jacrip:Guy, it was not my intention to make you feel like you were Igbo. Trust me, ethnic origin does not cut much ice with me. I am more interested in the content of your character, and whether you are making sense or not, than in where you come from. But having said that, I cannot speak for the Yoruba since am not one. ![]() But I have been told that the reason most of my Yoruba friends react the way they do to Biafra matters, is because of the way the Biafrans present the issue. Any comment made by a non-Igbo in connection with anything remotely linked to the South-east or Biafra, is met with a great deal of venom, insults and hate-filled remarks from the pro-Biafran crowd, no matter how innocous that comment may be. Why?? Anyone who makes the mistake of expressing dissent on any particular topic, is tagged "Yoruba," (as if it is a dirty word). Next the person's lineage, ethnic group and character is ripped to shreds with foul language and bitter ad hominem attacks. Maka, why?? Is their mind-set the only approved one, and must they dictate how others should think? But since no one has the monopoly on hate and rancour, you then see the other side retaliating in the same manner, digging in their heels and justifying the existence of a 'one Nigeria'. And what should have been a corteous healthy debate, then turns into a cybercontest of "My position is better and wiser than yours'. " Why?? ![]() Don't get me wrong. There are people who genuinely believe in one Nigeria, because they have seen the potentials of this country and know how much can be achieved, if only our leaders get their act together. No country in the world is perfect. Every nation has its problems. But the way they are able to resolve their differences and forge ahead, is what gives succour to today and hope for tomorrow. Like Albert Einstein once said: "“Peace cannot be kept by force; it can only be achieved by understanding.” ![]() Another philosopher also said: "States are made up of the men in them; therefore we cannot have better states, unless we have better men." If the quality of men running our affairs do not change, then no matter how many little republics we form, the same mistakes of the past will be repeated. |
