uncle005:Bros, are you living on Mars?? Read this report here: Point Blank News: http://pointblanknews.com/pbn/exclusive/tinubus-massive-looting-of-lagos-uncovered/ |
Colour Riot! ![]() |
Can it fly for 3.5 million? Kindly confirm?? ![]() I asked you this question 2 months ago, and you are yet to provide an answer. You also need to provide details of the location so that we can arrange an inspection. ![]() |
hercules07:Oh, and you know this because....? You were Tinubu's accountant? Please share the facts with us. Interested minds want to know! ![]() Okonjo Iweala used consultants, but those consultancy services were widely advertised, and various firms bidded to offer those services before a few were shortlisted, and selected. Also, the terms of reference were clear and precise, and tenor of the job was clearly stated. It did not run on in perpetuity, neither was it open-ended like the one Lagos State issued on a platter of gold to Alpha Beta! ![]() |
naijababe:Madam, it is said that there are no permanent friends in politics, only permanent interests. Alpha Beta listed these states as their clients but did not go into detail to state what kind of services they provided to each of these states. For all you know, they may have just filled out the tax forms of about two government officials or one state -owned agency during an exercise that lasted two weeks. How do we know? ![]() None of these states have concurred to state that Alpha Beta actually worked for them or made an impact in their finances, so I will take the company's list of clients with a pinch of salt. They listed the Abuja Environmental Agency as one of their clients, yet that same agency has gone on NTA network news and AIT to debunk such claims alleging that Alpha Beta was given the job of collecting parking fees in Abuja and they failed to remit the money. As such, they were suspended from ever carrying out any further tasks for them! Yet Alpha Beta still lists the Abuja agency as one of its clients and has failed to respond to the agency's comments. ![]() Ekiti only fell into the hands of the PDP last year, when Fayose won the election. Prior to that, it was firmly an APC state under Fayemi, who signed on Alpha Beta to please his master! Ondo was an LP state, but don't forget that two-thirds of the house of assembly are APC members and until the governor finally decamped to PDP two years ago, he had a working alliance with APC stalwarts! naijababe:If you understand the way state governments work, you will understand that the wheels of justice swing very slowly indeed. Ask the Attorney-Generals of any state government. They are bogged down by litigation and cases from too many individuals and companies suing the state government over one claim or the other, that the urge to go after a consultancy firm using their name to generate cheap publicity, does not feature high on their list. The cost of legal services and multiple court adjournments in the Nigerian judicial system does not make the option of suing such firms, appealing. However, now that you have mentioned it let us hope the Attorney-Generals of these states are listening. naijababe:Hehehe.....I could not stop laughing when I read this comment. Oh, you want LIRS to go after Alpha Beta whose sponsors are the ones holding the reins of power within the Lagos State government Do you think the unwary tax official who attempts to do that will keep his job at the end of the day? Come to think of it, why hasn't the management of Alpha Beta ever come out publicly to dissociate themselves from Tinubu? This is a classic case of "cunny man die, cunny man bury am" as my Niger-Delta friends would say.....hehehe! ![]() |
hercules07:AlphaBeta identified those evading tax and brought them to compliance. Was this service thrown open to a commercial bid and were other consultants allowed to also bid for the same job? How was Alpha Beta shortlisted and selected? What was the tenure of their contract? ![]() A consultancy contract is NOT open-ended neither does it exist in perpetuity. If they actually brought tax defaulters to book, then it means that the tax officials working for the state government were inept and they should be fired,as this is their statutory responsibility. Why did the state government not empower its own officers to carry out this duty? ![]() If as you say that Alpha Beta's brief was to bring non-compliant citizens to book, why has it never published the list of tax defaulters and stated how much it has helped govt retrieve from them? Under international standard practice, a debt recovery agent only earns a percentage of whatever amount of money it has actually or physically recovered on behalf of its client. This is not the case in Lagos. Alpha Beta collects a percentage on ALL the amount paid as tax in Lagos State, whether or not it had anything to do with the collection of those taxes, irrespective of the sources of such taxes! Talk to LIRS officials! In standard practice, the percentage collected by consultants decreases in inverse proportion to the amount collected on behalf of the client. This is clearly NOT the case with Alpha Beta. If it was true that the company helped Lagos State implement an improved method of revenue collection, then it should implement the model, train the tax officials to execute it and LEAVE, this is not an exercise that should take forever. So what is Alpha beta still doing there? ![]() Tinubu has not come up to even deny all the links he is alleged to have in Alpha Beta, so why are people holding brief for him?? |
Shollypopzz:It was Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN) and not Union Party. ![]() Those parties you mentioned Action Group (AG) and Unity Party, fielded a Yoruba man all through the history of the elections. ![]() But APC fielded a Northerner this time around who was able to garner massive support from the North, they did not field a Yoruba man. Would they have recorded the same success if their presidential candidate had come from the South-West? Dunno. Afterall, SDP fielded Chief MKO Abiola in 1993 and he won. Didn't the party chairman of SDP achieve something significant during that time? ![]() |
SLIDEwaxie:Bros, thank you for putting it down in black & white!! May God bless you one million times on Sundays, for this observation..... ![]() . |
ilugunboy:I do not have a personal beef with the man! But actions speak louder than words. There is no venom anywhere. The man's actions say a lot about the kind of man he is. Nepotism, greed, cronyism and bad faith are all traits that typify Tinubu. What is bad, is bad. Just watch and see..! ![]() |
Obiagelli:According to facts on the ground and investigative media reports which have not been denied by Tinubu, himself. I have been to Ibeju-Lekki myself several times, and seen the large expanse of land your Jagaban took from the original owners of the land, actively aided by the state government that paid no compensation to them. |
fflamingo:Which work did Buhari continue in 1984 after he became head of state following Shagari's ouster? Did he not cancel the metroline rail project in Lagos? APC does not know how to be original. They will rename it if they don't scrap it, and make sure they hand it over to their families, friends and cronies to milk dry. ![]() |
Shollypopzz:Slowly achieving?? |
naijababe:Madam, I am sure you can read. I said "Most"! Or didn't you see that there? Does the word "Most" mean the same thing as "All"? No one said it is fake. But there was no due diligence carried out before this company was selected. The selection was based on nepotism and crony-ism, if such a word exists because those governors were part of Tinubu's kitchen cabinet and signed on Alpha beta just to please him. The Governor of Nassarawa is an APC guy, so what are you talking about? Only Abia, Imo, Enugu Akwa Ibom are not APC dominated states. So what is your beef? These are just about 4 out of 14 states, oh! You are talking about a state government suing a company for claiming that it is one of their clients. How many governments have that time & energy to go after such petty claims? In Nigeria? Please don't make me laugh!! Only you have evidence to confirm that what was stated in my previous post is inaccurate, please take a chill pill and do not argue blindly except if you are a shareholder of Alpha Beta. Maybe, then you can tell us how much your so-called consultants paid as tax to FIRS as well as in all the states where they won contracts. |
SirShymexx:Thank you ...help me tell them! ![]() Can you imagine....comparing Awolowo to this - whatever his name is??!! Yuk..! Greed eventually has a way of luring the unwary to their downfall. We will see how it deals with Tinubu in the end. |
naijababe:Yes, just goes to show you all about Tinubu and the power of greed...!! Most of the 14 state governments in that list, are run by governors that are in Tinubu's kitchen cabinet. It would be interesting to know if due diligence and proper procurement process & guidelines were followed in the selection of Alpha Beta as consultants, in each of their respective states! Abuja Environmental Protection Board eventually suspended Alpha Beta from working for them due to their poor performance. Am waiting for the outcome of the court case when the real owners of Alpha Beta will be revealed. By the way, how much did Alpha Beta itself, pay as tax after collecting those jobs? Can anybody guess? ![]() Half of those they claim as clients, are incorrect. Ask those who have actually worked in tax offices of those listed states. |
Liegeria:Thank you, o jare! You hit the nail on the head. ![]() Let us hope the indomie & google generation on Jagaban's payroll, will rise up from their intellectual slumber to do the research...! ![]() |
naijababe:Yeah, the ability to put square pegs in square holes using nepotism and foisting his cronies on others, irrespective of their wishes. Awolowo provided free education at all levels; Tinubu and his men increased fees at tertiary education level until students in LASU and OOU were forced to demonstrate on the streets, in order to get the decision reversed. All manner of taxes designed to impoverish the masses are charged in states controlled by the APC, and those taxes are not chanelled to programmes that benefit the people, but into private pockets (especially Jagaban's own), in order to further satisfy his greed. Ever heard of Alpha Beta Consultants? ![]() Awolowo constructed roads that stood the test of time, implemented free education, free health care for his citizens, etc;. Did Tinubu and his men implement such programmes, except on paper? Most of the health care facilities in Lagos are heavily commercialised and almost as expensive as private hospitals. just look at LASU Teaching Hospital in Ikeja where Tinubu's cousin holds sway in one of the most critical healthcare facilities, for example. The only thing that is free in Lagos hospitals is registration. You pay heavily through the nose for everything else i.e. drugs, X-rays, blood, surgical materials, operations, dressing, bed space, food etc. So when it comes to service to the people and meeting their needs, in what specific area is Jagaban better than Awolowo, please? ![]() In the area of chicanery?? |
naijababe:How old are you? Lemme guess.....you were born in the 80s and failed to do your research on Awolowo? That is why you are making this fake assertion, that is totally lacking in depth, analysis and intellectual rigour on this forum? |
Desola:Jagaban - a name synonymous with greed, pocketing of Lagos State treasury and rabid nepotism. ![]() Ask the people of Ibeju-Lekki whose lands he grabbed to describe him better. They will use some of the most colourful phrases you have never heard before, to do so. |
Some Nigerians are still clueless sha. Aregbesola has been owing civil servants for months, and they are still voting for his party in Osun. Chai! Some people enjoy wallowing in suffering...! |
Ilekeh:Oh, exactly when did you conduct a census to arrive at this infantile conclusion that "women who marry early have sustaining nd lasting marriage"? Who verified it? I have lived in the North and travelled extensively around that region where women marry at a relatively young age, and anyone who makes the kind of comment that you made above, is regarded as either being mischievous or simply being economical with facts. Yes, those women get married early and what happens next? Many of their husbands marry 2nd, 3rd and 4th wives after them... that is if they are lucky not to be divorced within the next few years after marriage, in cases where their husbands have a roving eye. Only in very few cases, are the wives allowed to continue their education and develop themselves under their husbands roof. The unlucky ones develop Vesico-Vaginal Fistula (VVF) with urine and wastes leaking uncontrollably from their bodies. In cases where their husbands do not divorce them, they abandon such women to their fate and marry another wife as a replacement. So where does the longevity of such marriages come from? ![]() Ilekeh:Please do not dabble into areas where you have little knowledge about. Who told you that Aisha chose Muhammadu Buhari? Bros, the culture in that region is that girls are married off by their family, to a particular suitor. The girls have little or no say in it! As a young girl, you dare not disobey the patriarchs of your family when such issues arise...unless you want to be disowned. It is only among children of the rich in recent times (e.g. in the past 10 years) that such rules are gradually being relaxed and so-called 'love matches' where the male expresses a preference to marry a girl of his choice, are now being encouraged. ![]() Marriage is regarded as a way to forge alliances, gain acceptance or create ties with external parties, in many of those parts of the North. Love has very little to do with it. Unless you were present when Aisha met Buhari, and you were present when she confessed undying love to him during their initial meeting, which led her to 'choose' him when she was 18 years old , then this assertion you made up here is totally inaccurate, drafted in hypocrisy and riddled with conjecture. |
firstEVA:There is a proverb that says "Dress the way you would like to be addressed." Such outfits depict you as a commercial sex worker. Ask any man in his right senses if he would take a girl wearing a bra less top like the one depicted here, home to meet his mother and tell me what kind of reaction he would give you. If you decide to dress like a hooker by baring it all, then do not be surprised if you get treated like one. Why is it that every mistake made abroad, becomes a fad in Nigeria? Only women who do not value their bodies, their family name and their reputation, would wear such things in public. Yes, you would attract attention alright, but it would be the wrong kind of attention that will come your way. ![]() Tomorrow, some feminist dolts will start screaming rape, when they allow their misguided daughters wear such trash in public. Tomorrow, some equally retarded girl will start crying over split milk when a guy who picks her up after he sees her in this kind of attire, uses her as a one-night stand, and refuses to pick her calls the following day after bedding her. ![]() I trust my people. No one would let you leave the house like this, without asking if you have taken leave of your senses. |
Gbawe:Hmmnn....have you met Babyosisi before in real life?? Where is there so much vile and venom in your post? And for goodness sake, what part of Babyosisi's post make you believe that she thinks "...... a 'fulfilled life' is sleeping around with as many men as possible when you are young, while committing to no one, only for them to be looking down at the likes of Aisha Buhari who married early"? People can make their points without tossing out unecessary insults and bile. A woman who marries early is NOT superior to one who marries late. Life and chance happens to them all. And marrying early, has never been nor will never be the cure for promiscuity. I know several Northern women who married early and still cheated on their husbands. Others just got a divorce and jumped into the hands of the next available man in their area. SO what is the argument about? My own take is this - a man that chooses to marry a woman who is younger than his first daughter or young enough to be his daughter needs help. He is either trying to recapture his lost youth, or does not place any value on the life and progress of women who are close to his daughters' age. ![]() Someone mentioned Omotola Jalade Ekeinde as an example of a South-western woman who got married at 18. True, but her husband Matthew Ekeinde an airline captain was just 9-10 years older than her. They got married when Omotola was 18 and he was just 27 years old. ![]() It doesn't matter if it is Ojukwu or Buhari, both men are wrong on all counts to have married women that are their children's age. Those in support of such practice, should give their own daughters out in marriage at the age of 18 years, if they feel so strongly about it. Chikena! |
People break up for a variety of reasons, and each person has to deal with the break up in his or her own way by working through the anger, pain & grief. It is a process that takes one thing - time. Unfortunately, instead of people working through all the feelings of hurt, that come with a break up they jump into another relationship thinking it will make them feel better. Others try to bury the pain and put on a brave face, thinking they can wish away the pain only to discover that it festers like a sore and will lead them towards a nervous breakdown if left untreated. As for the last part of the interview, it got me thinking: Tonway:What if the person trying to stop the wedding, is the spouse of one of those getting married? I mean, someone the bride or groom was previously married to, and had not yet divorced legally? Would it still be wrong for such a person to stop the wedding? Just wondering.... |
Dominiquez:We don dey tell them since, dem no gree! ![]() |
SirShymexx:So Mobola Johnson the Minister of Communications & Technology is NOT Yoruba, abi? ![]() Among the current service chiefs, is the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Adesola Amosu whose men are flying Chinnok helicopters in the North East to inflict heavy losses on Boko Haram, not a Yoruba man too like Adesina? When South Africa was performing its nonsense claiming that Nigerians were travelling with fake yellow fever certificates, and Britain also wanted Nigeria to deposit thousands of pounds with their High Commissioner as part of their visa entry process, who was the Minister that clipped their wings, back then? Was it not the late Olugbenga Ashiru an Egba son who was the Foreign Affairs Minister under GEJ? ![]() Why do you people like peddling half-truths and petty propaganda, for goodness sake? Or are you trying to say some Yoruba people are more superior to others? mtcheew Honestly, you people have short memories..... |
OLADD:Help me tell them, o jare! |
TonySpike:There is no side-lining. Yoruba people are well represented in GEJ's cabinet. How come you Yoruba people have not turned your searchlight on the mess in the APC controlled states? Fayemi lost Ekiti state due to his failure to pay civil servants their due wages ....only to turn around and spend multi-million naira to build a superlative government house equipped with gold-plated beds. Amosun charged students of the Olabisi Onabanjo University hundreds of thousands of naira as tuition fees, yet the school remained a glorified secondary school with minimal infrastructure. What happened to the money? He only agreed to reduce the fees after students went on rampage last year. Fashola, nko? He taxes everything that moves and tolls every major road in Lekki, only to hand over the proceeds of our taxes and sweat to his god-father Tinubu. Fashola increased LASU school fees from N25,000 per student/per annum to N197,000 for Arts and Humanities students, and N350,000 for medical students. He refused to back down on the increase in school fees in LASU, until the students camped outside Alausa and gave him a tough time. Tell me, how many civil servants in Lagos can afford to send their children to LASU with these kind of outrageous fees.Aregbesola the Osun man filled with delusions of grandeur, named his territory 'The State of Osun,' as if a change of nomenclature is the only thing required to bring about true progress. He then wanted to implement a single uniform for all secondary schools across the state, as if that would automatically improve their WAEC and NECO grades! He owed civil servants their salaries for 5 months, until the 2 weeks before re-election last year when it dawned on him and his party, that they could topple him from the helm of affairs, just as Fayemi was overthrown in Ekiti. He quickly ran around to pay the arrears of the outstanding salaries to prevent defeat. ![]() Honestly, Yorubas are their own worst enemies.....they should just look inwards for those working against them. We have seen how they have run most of the APC-controlled states in the past 4 years, and honestly we are not impressed..... Lagos might be the only exception, but even then Lagos State executes projects for 3 times the average cost, that other countries spend in executing similar projects. We understand that the money ends up in private pockets..... |
kastonkastrol:And how many Yoruba sons and daughters have sold off their patrimony for a mess of pottage? Your so-called leader Bola Tinubu has taken over entire ancestral lands and various areas in Lagos, all along Lekki-Epe expressway from Abijo to Ibeju-Lekki to Ikorodu, just to fuel his greed. He has deprived other more qualified Yoruba people of various positions in Lagos, by installing his family members in key positions in an act of unmitigated nepotism. None of his Yoruba brethren have lifted a finger to call him to order. Now he wants to install his stooge as the Governor of Lagos State in order to continue milking the state treasury.... ![]() Instead, they are belly-aching over a Niger-Delta man called Jonathan....wonders shall never cease! What did the late Hubert Ogunde say? '"Yoruba ronu......" |
hailolive:God bless you, o jare! You took the words right out of my mouth. That is what I was trying to tell him, before he brought up all the long grammar... ![]() |
onyenro:The Chevron fire truck from the Chevron Head office along Lekki-Epe Expressway also responded. I saw them dashing out towards Lekki Phase 1 just as I going down the opposite direction. They sprayed some kind of chemical compound to also put down the flames. |
