Religion / Re: Does Spending The Last Night Of The Year In A Church Service Make Any Difference by Lavisha(f): 7:56pm On Dec 31, 2021
Myer:

Please it serves a lot.
And I have 3 points.

1. Yes there are those that can get to a place of repentance from their home.
But there are those that need the atmosphere the church provides and the testimony of others to get to that place of repentance.

The last day of the year is significant for every human being.

You might not attend service throughout the year but some how the last day of the year makes you want to have some form of new year resolution or change of heart and the cross over can provide the right atmosphere for that.

2. Cross-over service had become a religious activity for already converted believers. So it is simply fullfiness of righteousness.

-Your parents expect you to go for cross over service.
-Your friends are all going so you dont want to be the odd one out so you also attend.
-Youre a worker in the church so you're actually expected to be there. Whether or not you want to be.

3. Cross over prayers.
While many are of the opinion that every day is the same. I believe astronomers, astrologers, agriculturists, and those who pay attention to times and seasons j understand that no 2 days are alike.
In fact zodiac signs are a proof that your birthday goes a long way to determine your personality as different from others.
Also the very fact that we have different significant seasons of rainfall, harmattan, dry season, etc shows that different days have different significance.
So clearly those who developed the calendar, having put the different seasons into considerations determined that the new year is significant.

Hence for those who determine to pray into the new year, it is a well acceptable and good religious ritual, psychological and therapeutic exercise.

That said, no matter the category you find yourself whether you recognise the cross over or not, just understand that days have different significance and the praying into the new year is not a bad idea.
Some times the prayers are answered, some times they are not. Supposedly also determined by God's pre determination for everyone

You've wasted a piece of your time and life replying a headslammer.

What are you even saying
The soot is in the air and it settles on the floor and other surfaces so when you mop the water gets black
It's not rocket science Mr microbiologist

Nah, Op is saying the Water itself is black before mopping.
How come?
Is that a rocket science?!

there's water rushing in my apartment and that is what I used, I don't know if its safe or not but its the normal water in average Nigerian home.
Then somebody has done a very bad job cos a correct borehole will not produce such water.

It's either the plumber bypassed waters from an open Well or a river or gutter sef.
Anyways, whatever you do with that water, never ever drink from it or use any part for food processes cos that is pure contamination.

Happy Christmas!
Health / Re: Black Soot: The water I Used In Cleaning My House This Morning In Port Harcourt by Lavisha(f): 9:03am On Dec 25, 2021
richmond500:
so u think I mopped my floor with water from gutter?

PH is a city, u just can't find well here and there is also no river in the metropolis
You see, there are millions of people living in PHC and %1 cannot tell the true story about Portable waters in the Metropolis.
For instance, I reside in Obajana, Kogi State@ Dangote Cement Factory (Largest Cement plant in Africa) and the harmattan did a great job by drying up some portable water sources coupled with Cement dusts everywhere.
That means I can easily fetch a muddy water and show the World but the true tale is; Clean Waters Abounds in Kogi.

So, I want to believe Clean Waters still plenty for PHC and there's no cause for alarm but the way you peeps are portraying it seems All waters in PHC are contaminated with soot which is very wrong.

I'ma Microbiologist tho.

Oga, that man was saying you could've shown us a full bucket of water and the source of the water.

Was it from a tap, well, borehole, river, gutter or where?!

Dangote doesn't own a single truck in his name.... People buy those trucks and use those trucks for dangote factory deliveries and get paid in turn every month... More like logistics services.... Same as international breweries...
This is a biased comment sir.

Dangote Owns more than 90percent of those trucks, customer trucks and commercial trucks take the 10.
