How far is N1,200 from N300/$1, which was Tinubu’s short term goal when he hit the ground running 33 months ago?

How far is N1,200 from his May 2027 target of N200/$1 huh

At least if Tinubu’s 2011 expired old soldier failed to deliver his promised change in exchange rate for eight years of cluelessness, the Lagos tax reformer and renewed hope architect should not be a failure also.
Buhari printed too much naira and to get 300 to a dollar then you have to remove majority of naira in circulation from circulation. Prices will drop like a rock. There is no point in doing that. Just stop printing recklessly, increase wages and leave the market to self heal and correct

In fact CBN is now a net buyer of forex. Basically, dollar inflow is now so significantly high that CBN is now mopping up dollar supply from the market. That is, CBN is no longer intervening in the market to defend the Naira, they are now buying up excess forex liquidity to ensure Naira maintains the current exchange rate.

So as it is, the Naira is under priced and once the CBN feels the time is good, they will further strengthen the naira. For now, stability is the goal.
People fail to realize it is the reckless printing of the naira that causes inflation and naira devaluation.

It will still drop more. The government said they have not printed any naira note since inception. Some experts say it should be around 1200 by now

Sorry for the experience though.
The best dentists in Nigeria are majority Yoruba. So far it is Nigeria you can hardly avoid Yoruba

At the bolded, now you are pushing it. Do you know what it means is to be paid as high as $200k to $300k. That would put you in the list of the highest earners in the US and the world at large by average.

Bro, nobody is comfortable being poor, they are just used to it. Humans are adaptive in nature. When you are Elon musk or Elon musk child for too long you would begin to get used to it and not appreciate or understand the privileges you have. A wealthy person would understand better if he suddenly became poor.

Rich people may argue that money don't bring happiness entirely but wouldn't want to become poor either. Same way a poor man may feel comfortable and think he's very happy with his life but would 99% of the time choose the option to become rich.

The point is, you can find happiness wherever you find yourself. All you have to do is creat your own happiness.
Yes there are actually people that I know who are in that category. Some of them even studied abroad and are renown in their field. Then most Professors in Nigeria are doing well and what really can you have as a Prof in the US earning 300k per annum that a Prof in Nigeria can not have? Apart from an expensive car.

Nobody is comfortable being poor but poverty is relative. No Professor in any country can be described as poor.

Jesus did exactly what any right thinking Jew needed to do because the money changers and herders weren't expected to bring their businesses into the temple courtyard.

He taught them and expected each one of them to act on what he is teaching not forcing his teachings down their throats.
You could as well claim that both Jesus and all his disciples were money lovers since one of his disciples sold him out for money after teaching them to store all their treasures in heaven! Matthew 6:19-21

I am not forming anything as those are bible stories. I have read accounts online by Jews who said Jesus and his disciples were renown for street fights in their day. The Bible did not expressly state that but it is implied in the story of one of his disciples assaulting a soldier .

I don't like it when Yorubas try to deny their decision to align with Northern Nigeria to stop Igbos from seceding in 1967.

If Yorubas were fighting for the so-called invasion of their land, they ought to have stopped the moment they chased Igbos out of their perceived Yoruba territory or even tell Gowon to let Igbos go with their region while they, Yorubas continued with the one-Nigeria with the North and Midwest, wasn't that supposed to be the case?

On how Tinubu has been destroying the fabrics of Nigeria; are you not a Nigerian? Can't you see the dangerous, toxic, nepotistic and divisive politics Bola Tinubu has been playing ever since he became President even though he has always used same to hold down Lagos state even before 2023 Presidential election.

If you doubt me, go back and make a google search about: Jimmy Agbaje of PDP being accused of being Omo Igbo as far back as 2015 and 2019.....it will be a total dishonesty on your part or on the part of any Yoruba man or woman alive today to deny that Bola Tinubu divided Nigeria so badly along ethnic lines even more than Buhari that started it
How I wish it were possible to have driven out the invaders and returned home but in war, it is never easy like that. Once a war starts, there must be a winner and if no winner, then a third party have to step in to restore order.

Then the westerners and Midwesterners no longer had any excuse after the invasion not to fight alongside the Northerners.

franchasofficia:
No, you are wrong.

The North already know that they have a major problem in the South coming from the Southeast, so having another major tribe from the South angry will definitely spell doom for Nigeria.

It is the Yorubas that have held Nigeria from breaking up because they are the people always partnering with the North to force Igbos to remain in Nigeria, so it's common sense to pacify your partner in crime to avoid bigger problem.

So it has nothing to do with Yorubas fighting for Abiola, it has more to do with Northerners applying wisdom to save Nigeria from total disintegration when Igbos and Yorubas together want to leave Nigeria, of course Northerners cannot stop it but when Igbo alone wants to leave, it's easier to stop them through majority partnership of North and Southwest.

Same way, it's easier to stop Yorubas from ever leaving Nigeria if North and Southeast partner together.

That's why for many years, North always worked with Southeast to keep Southwest in opposition until 2015 that Tinubu led Yorubas to partner with North against Southeast that wanted Jonathan to remain, and that disrupted the North-Southeast political partnership and led to the emergence of a first ever pan-Yoruba President Tinubu now destroying every fabric of Nigeria.
Yoruba did not partner with North to keep Igbos in Nigeria. The Midwest did not partner with North to keep Igbos in Nigeria. Resisting the invasion of your land is a noble task that you should expect any group to do. Why should Awo trust Ojukwu when he was part of Ironsi government who refused to release him from prison despite his plea? Put yourself in his shoes. You said the first Yoruba and North alliance is 2015 and you said Yoruba partnered with North earlier when the resistance against the invading Biafrans was just a reflex action. I don't count that as partnering with North politically. Though there is nothing wrong in partnering with the North for as long as Nigeria is one. Any mutually beneficial partnership is not wrong.
How is Tinubu now tearing the fabric of Nigeria apart? In what way? People are still free to form alliance to remove him

This is certainly NOT one of the problems.
The cost per unit electricity in UK is $0.35, USA is $0.17 and i. Nigeria is $0.13. The cost difference between USA and Nigeria is not that great especially considering the fact that salaries of Electricity workers are much smaller.

This is an administration and management problem as the unpaid gas suppliers do jot have anything to do with consumer not paying.

I think until we generate up to 8GW of electric power, we have no right to blame the transmission networks.

I am 100% in agreement with you here. Nothing else to add.

What do you think would happen if a company like Siemens is contracted to build a 20GW turbine station powered from direct supply of crude oil?

Do you think the company cannot build a Modular Refinery to produce the kind of fuel required fro their turbines?

Do you think that a company like Siemens after Building such a power station cannot build parallel national grid for its energy distribution?

Unfortunately, even if our politicians are convinced to do this, they will look for a Chinese or Indian company to execute the project rather than giving it to a German, UK, Korean, Israeli or Japanese companies?
Why they don't give contracts to companies from the high income world is because they quote more because of high personnel costs due to high cost of living in those countries. If the Chinese are asking for one billion dollars when Siemens say they will take three billion dollars, how will Siemens win the bid? It is the same reason manufacturing has almost all left high income countries.

Life expectancy rates in tropical Barbados, Singapore and Malaysia are very high. Temperate weather conditions have nothing to do with life expectancy rates. See Russia and its low LE rates.

Our low expectancy rate is due to poverty, nothing else. Nigeria has to become rich for people to live longer. No wonder some say poverty is worse than death itself.
Many poor people are happy with the little they have and are living a fulfilled life. So poverty is not worse than death. All this craze about money is the problem not poverty in itself. How much do you even need to have a roof over your head and live well?. Many people have the income yet still choose to live frugally. You only get happiness and fulfilment from adding value to the society and never from money. What you need is happiness and fulfilment
High life expectancy in any country is by over 90 percent from low infant mortality, other things are just tangential. I hope you know poor people live to over 100 years and billionaires die young.

Obi if he is losing can cause glitches

So we return to the Adult question

When. Glitch happens because in this Nigeria that we know it will happen

What next

Your argument about fair is sentiments

The issue is not transmission but vote buying and intimidation

As far as transmission goes 2023 was the BEST EVER

Peter Obi and Atiku had agents at polling units

Did they come out to tell you INEC declared something else from what they have

They had the results on Sunday and knew they had lost

That is why Dino Melaye started his drama
No matter the challenges, if that is what all contestants want then give it to them. They know that if the result is not uploaded in time, the polling unit will be cancelled. They may not understand, so it is better to clearly explain to them. It is not right to go with what only one party wants

In Kaduna, Five out of 23 local governments can be up to half of the population. That is the number of local government chairmen. In Osun, Ife East senatorial district has 10 out of 30 local government with 54 percent of total population. I have met some Kano indigenes that are Christians. So 90 percent Muslim will be hard for even the NW and it is simply not the reality for any other zone in the North more like 50/50 for the other zones.

In the NW, Kaduna is after Kano in population and it is at least half Christian. Kano is more than ten percent Christian. Therefore the NW is at least twenty percent Christian and that is the only zone Muslims greatly dominate in the North. How then did you arrive at the figure of ninety percent Muslim?

Good morning
It is when A Yoruba man got there that election problem started?

In 2023 total votes for ALL candidates was 24.5 million
But somehow in 2011 Goodluck Jonathan got 22 million votes
The SE alone alone gave Goodluck Jonathan 5 million votes
FIRST TIME SE HAD MORE VOTERS THAN SW BUT COULD NOT REPLICATE FOR OBI.?
Why? BVAS WORKED

In 2023 Peter Obi as popular as he was with 99% votes could only get 2 million votes in the SE

You did not talk about reform in 2011 when Buhari was crying and all the SS and SE states had millions of voters

When the Yoruba complete their 8 years you can reform
It is better to support what is fair. If it gets down to ethnic voting then it is not sure for anybody. There are over two hundred ethnic groups. Support electronic transmission or even voting. It does not mean your candidate will lose and even if he loses, you can still contest in fiture

You are absolutely right!! Christ didn’t choose random, unprepared people to lead. He spent years teaching, correcting, rebuking, and shaping His disciples before sending them out. Paul didn’t endorse ignorance he confronted false teachers, demanded sound doctrine, and insisted that leaders be apt to teach, blameless, and rightly dividing the word of truth. Those are qualifications, those are standards, those are forms of training.
A society that refuses to regulate its religious environment becomes vulnerable to:

1. exploitation

2. extremism

3. manipulation

4. imported ideologies

5. leaders who answer to no one

That’s not faith.
That’s danger.

A responsible nation has every right to say: If you want to lead people spiritually, you must be accountable, trained, and safe.
That’s not fighting God,that’s protecting citizens. The supernatural does not excuse disorder.
And people getting used to invoking Jesus to defend chaos is not spirituality it’s avoidance of responsibility.

All the Northern Sheikhs who supported Tinubu's muslim-muslim ticket are fast turning their backs on him after clocking he's a serial betrayer. Tinubu is not gaining Christian votes at the same rate that he's losing muslim votes. This should concern Agbadorians when you consider the fact that he won with 5.6m Northern Muslim votes and still had the slimmest margin of victory by any presidential candidate in the history of this country. This was simply because the South didn't vote for him and largely still won't, despite all the defecting governors. Dropping Shettima at this point will only do more damage but he has no other choice.
President Shagari's 1979 victory has the slimmest margin of victory in the history of Presidential elections. Tinubu won with a higher margin in 2023.

Personally I do not see a big deal about cows moving about. The Govs are not ready to create ranch systems. A lot will also go into a ranch system...feeds and all. Until that is done, the cows can move around eating all the weeds we refuse to cut down.

My proposal

Create a ranch system. When Farmers send food from the North, we load them with feeds.
You create jobs by having people go into farmlands to cut grasses and weeds....then you have central locations like we do for plastic bottles.
They weigh them, store and pay the locals.
They gather them in bulks and alert trailers so they can load them back to the ranches.
You need to build massive tanks to store water and sewage systems to process wastes.

You create JOBS in the South and stop the movement, but you must be ready to pay more for meats because instead of cows eating for free by moving about, farmers will be paying for daily feeds.
No you won't pay more for meat. Pork today is cheaper than beef. I believe dairy products can pay for the feed.

That's not true. A minimum wage earner in high income countries will have money left to save after paying rent and eating good food, not to talk of the numerous other benefits like water electricity, good roads medical emergencies and the rest. Not to mention most minimum wage earners here share apartment with others and split the rent.

Talking about rent, can a minimum wage earner in Nigeria pay their rents in this present day Nigeria unless they are renting in a remote places. If they manage to pay their rents, can they pay for their electricity if peradventure they happen to be in band A area where electricity bills is more than half of their salaries? Or can they be buying fuel in their generator everyday if there's no light?

The only reason we have not been seeing homeless people littered everywhere in this present day Nigeria is because Nigeria has a very good support system and culture; very family oriented, not because people can pay their own rents. Any family members can stay in our family house in Benin and in Lagos as long as you are not a criminal and running from the police, unlike abroad where you are solely responsible for yourself.

There's no basis for comparison between a minimum wage earner in Nigeria and Abroad.
Minimum wage earners are struggling in any country and in high income countries many can not afford rent. The struggle is everywhere. Rent is only expensive in only a few cities in Nigeria while other places are very cheap. Some can be as cheap as 50k per annum for a room. Nigeria is very informal too and most people have more than one source of income. The average family in Nigeria can fully own their home by the time the couple are in their fifties. There is safety net in high income countries but there is no government revenue for that in Nigeria yet. The safety net is what makes the big difference
