Believe it or not, the originator of this thread did not mean to sound tribalistic. Perhaps it was wrong choice of words that made him appear tribalistic. I believe what he wanted was to create an avenue where we can all proffer solutions to the present setbacks experienced by our beloved Nollyhood and how to move d industry forward. I am neither an igbo nor a yoruba but i'm amazed at the aggression of amaka and co towards this issue. Na wa o. But this is a common thing that when a particular tribe dominate at the helm of affairs people tend to generalise if things go wrong. Abi have we not heard even d igbos accusing d hausas for ruining the nation's politics. Why dont they blame Yaradua instead. So my brother is not far from the truth if he too generalises. Afterall the igbos are at the helm of affairs in nollyhood. Come to think of it, how will nollyhood grow when two brothers Esiegbu and Kanayo are busy fighting for the top job. Now are these two not igbos? Abeg lets call a spade a spade instead of causing a miniature civil war 2 here. One love. |
It's so unfortunate that Samuel Peters's reign as the world's boxing king was shorter than expected. Just last night he attempted to climb up d ladder again by picking up a fight with d superfast eddie chambers, but samuel was panel beaten and defeated by chambers. Is this the end of d road for the akwa Ibom born boxer? What have we not done for samuel? The akwa Ibom state govt threw its weight behind him financially and otherwise, FG supported him, he was even managed by d world's best Don King who also managed Tyson, yet our man has refused to shine. Now the whole world know the truth. Samuel's victory was a big fluke, a flash in the pan. If i will advise samuel i will tell him not to depend on his punches alone but to also work on his legwork. Every boxer acknowledges he possesses deadly punches but his major problem is in his legwork. So what they do is to avoid his punches while feeding him with their own punches. Samuel should also work on his weight, it will make him smart and fast on the ring. |

Big news this week from France. At his preserved house at Salon-de-Provence, the caretakers recently found an old sheet holding a few previously unknown prophecies of Nostradamus stuck in a book in his collection. One was of amazing significance for the USA: the prediction reads; In the ninth month a new leader shall arise. Mohammedan by name, Christian by baptism. The bronze one shall unite the Florentine's land. A harbinger of peace; called of God. Victorious. This unambiguously points to Barack Obama winning the White House! Here are some things that need explaining: 1. While our ninth month is September, the actual Roman word, Novemeber, means "ninth month." That corresponds with election month. 2. Barack Hussein Obama is, in fact, an Islamic name but he is a Christian. 3. The word "bronze" refers to Obama's African-American skin pigmentation. 4. "Florentine' s land" refers to America, which was named after Amerigo Vespucci, a cartographer and explorer from Florence, Italy. 5. To be "called of God" means a divine assignment. He will be "victorious" in his quest to seek the presidency. This is one of the most spectacular predictions that Nostradamus ever made! And to think that one old sheet of paper was found, forgotten by time, in a book of his library. This can't be a coincidence. Or what do you think? |

PAFUN YOU ARE D MAN! Gosh, You know i dont blame those shortsighted nigerians that are so ignorant to doubt these pictures. They are under the white man's spell which i call 'social programming'. The world has been programmed to believe that the white man's land is a miniature paradise while africa is HELL on earth. Or can somebody explain why whenever they want to show poverty or depict hunger on documentaries and advert on CNN they show the picture of a hungry looking african boy and when they want to advertise wealth or tourism they show us pictures of well-fed white children. Does it mean there are no hungry-looking white children there? Check out all the editions of the Jehova's Witness AWAKE magazine and you will notice the same trend. Inasmuch as we have Ajegunle in Nigeria, we also have the V.I's, VGC's but why aint the white press looking out for the nice places in africa to show to the world? As a matter of fact, some months ago i met an eighteen-year old american girl on yahoo chat and when i told her i'm from nigeria she exclaimed,'ha! You have computers there too?'. That is the social programming i'm talking about. The whites have rubbished africa for so long and it beats my imagination why people who have not even traveled out of Lagos would be arguing when someone who is there is giving them first hand information of the reality in Yankee. Please i believe this thread is for information and education so as to deliver nigerians from this social programming and white man's propaganda. So folks dont hate, just get educated by professor PAFUN. Let the pictures continue, |

What is the world turning to. I must confess that i was really surprised to hear that prophetess Juanita Bynum and Pastor Paula white have divorced their hubbies. How on earth can these two sue for a divorce of their husbands. Are they not the same people who confessed that the Lord revealed these men to them as their husbands? Are they not the same women of God who encourage other women to hang on in their marriages and pray that God touch and change their bad spouses. How come is Juanita Bynum running away from her husband because he beats her up and why is Paula White divorcing her husband for undisclosed reasons. Whatever must have prompted this action, one thing stands clear humans will always be humans. Chris Okotie once said God told him he will be the next president but after going to the polls he failed woefully. Why do these church folks keep disceiving us. Well, Juanita and Paula, only God can judge your case. I hope that your action is in line with what you profess and believe. (Original post modified) |
Thanks Nerok for the compliment but let me set the records straight by stating here that lawisong is a guy not a babe. hahahaah. It's my fault sha, i failed to indicate that in my profile but i'm sure it is noted now. |
Hello dear, i think we have a serious problem here. That is the problem i'll like to refer to "social programming". It's a shame that our naija babes have been wrongly programmed since childhood to believe that for a guy to be romanitic then he must behave exactly like the characters they've been reading about in Mills & Boon, or be the stereotype the guys in those James Hardly Chase romantic novel they've been secretly reading while their parents were asleep. To worsen the situation, the emergence of nollyhood has made almost every girl to expect that all guys should behave like Ramsel Noah or Saint Obi before they can say we men are romantic. But you know what? Ladies all that one na wayo. Relationships are not bed of roses. If you must expect romantic behavior from the guys, you first have to proved to him that you deserve such? Don't expect Nigerian guys to come to your house with a bouquet of flowers and a sheepish smile like James Bond before you know we are romantic because we are nigerians and have our own style and the sooner you come to realise that the better for you because Nigerian guys are the most romantic men on earth. Learn to appreciate our own naija romantic gesture which you seem to be so ignorant of and don't expect us to play foreign romantic scripts for you, we are real men not actors. |
Can anyone please tell me the fate of those who bought Trade Bank's share. AFter buying from their I.P.O in 2004, the capital base thing was effected a few months later and because they couldn't get up to the 25 Billion naira they dropped out. However, Soludo himself stated that the money acquired from the I.P.O has not been credited to the account of Trade bank yet and as such would be refunded to investors. But my brothers, since then we have been keeping our fingers crossed but have not heard anything yet. Please what is actually going on. If the money is gone they should as well let us know and not to leave us in the dark. We can bear it by God's grace. Nigerians are used to mago mago. |
I personally regard the NYSC scheme as a laughable failure! They say you are serving your fatherland for one year but tell me, if i graduate and start working immediately in Nigeria i'm i not still serving my fatherland? Are the civil servants not serving their fatherland even if their salaries are delayed for months? Are the police not serving their fatherland even though they are paid peanuts and not well equipped to fight the ever increasing crime rate? So why is this one year of so-called "service to fatherland" aka NYSC so special? Please if you know the authorities in charge, tell them to totally scrap out the NYSC program because it is of no use anymore. I'm suppose to be going for the programme when i heard about the quota thing. Now i cant predict my fate. My institution stupidly based their criteria on age. That is if you are 29 or close to 30 years you are given preference to go for national service so that you do not exceed the age limit of NYSC. But those naughty professors fail to understand that most vacancies now state that applicant should not be more than 25 years. So if the younger graduates are left behind till they are 29 years before they are allowed to go for NYSC and by the time they finish the program they are 30 or 31, who will employ them? Besides that, How can they keep students that have completed their years of study plus years of strike again at home for no just cause. I think NYSC as a whole should be sued by NANS to court. It is our right. If i am to advise the empty headed leaders out there, i will suggest they scrap out NYSC and rather use this one year of wastage to train the graduates on various vocational jobs like welding, printing, computer repairs, book publishing, etc. so that after the one year, these graduates can create jobs of their own if they cant get a job in the already saturated labour market. Who knows, this little effort can create lots of self employment and business establishment. BUT IF THEY WONT TAKE MY ADVISE, THEN I'LL HAVE TO CONSULT MY FRIEND ALIKO DANGOTE TO BUY NYSC. I believe he can help them solve their lack of funds wahala. Bad leaders please dont turn Nigeria to Bangladesh. |
I dont't agree with you Gbolio4, even cars sell at N250,000 these days but that does not stop the big players from selling their brand new cars for a million+. The fact is that every thing has a price tag depending on what you want. If you need a website of N4000 or even N1000, you'll definitely get it but the price definitely determines the quality. It's a matter of cutting your coat according to your size. If you need a site such as that of Rita Dominic, then you'll definitely not get it at N4000. What do you think? |
