Crime › Re: Yahaya Sharif-Aminu Appeals Death Sentence Judgment For Blasphemy by lceyjayz(m): 10:48am On Sep 03, 2020 |
Amotolongbo: When I saw this news, the first thing I was interested in looking for is the advocate for the man and where he is from.
The problem with sharia law when it comes to the issue of blasphemy is that, there is no way you can have an advocate, cos the fate is already sealed and the consequence is death. No lawyer will even come up to stand for the accused cos the Muslims in the north are so fanatical and will even kill the lawyer before leaving the court premise. So the northern lawyers aren’t always interested in taking up cases on blasphemy cos they know that they aren’t safe with the job
Now that the lawyer to the accused is a Yoruba (south west or north central), there is a light at the end of the tunnel for him.
The case is still in Kano high court, he might not be discharged and acquitted of the case cos it is still within Kano state. No judge wanna die.
The surest thing that will guarantee this man’s freedom is when the case is taken beyond Kano State, perhaps Supreme Court in Abuja Nawa o |

Education › Re: Has ASUU Called Off The Strike!!! by lceyjayz(m): 5:52am On Sep 03, 2020 |
Drbike: ASUU is a body formed as an alliance by various lecturers in different universities. So now, these are the people that are the major stakeholders in the university affairs. You reopen school or not is wholly your business. Reopening of higher institutions won't mean they will start work. A student that decides to go back to school will tell me how he will teach and graduate him or herself. Unless he has an ulterior motive, which many clamouring for reopening have. Settle ASUU and normalcy will return asap. Assuming you are a lecturer and you are being mistreated by the govt, won't you register your displeasure by embarking on strike? I don't blame them, that's where they feed from. For some students clamouring for reopening, most of them don't have any tangible reason. One boldly told me she needs to be fucking her boyfriend, or is it the one that said he just wants to change environment because he has overstayed at home. There is one that even wants to go back to school because she's broke and school stipends are like her own salaries. So you see, most are just misguided. Most of these reopening were not properly thought out, it could be more political than just for the need to resume academic activities again by the govt. In the end ASUU and fg will determine what happens next. Though governor of lagos state said that schools will be allowed to reopen as from sept 14. He didn't say school will reopen. He is just lifting lockdown ban on school. The other follow follow governors didn't even think properly and started pulling their own resumption stunts. Lol most Nigerian girls wants school to resume so that they can continue fvcking random men for money and so on well thank God I didn't school in Nigeria, and I got admission and graduated at the right time, even with my unseriousness I still bagged 2.1, it's not actually an achievement though because am not even using it, I have skills that are earning me good income monthly. |

Politics › Re: Niger State Government Urges FG To Consider Landmass In Revenue Sharing by lceyjayz(m): 5:20am On Sep 03, 2020 |
flyingpig: If Landmass is used as factor for allocating revenue then SE go poor like Somalia o
Mr Governor, how is that even logical? What does such large mass of land produce for the country? Is there any mineral that is generated and sold for foreign exchange? There is totally no PRODUCTIVITY
These greedy people are looking for dubious ways to double their allocation against the South. In fact, SE should seriously consider pressing for "number of human resources" as a factor for distributing state allocations, because such factor will place you lot on the sloppy end of the seesaw.
Nonsense and uneducated North. To think that state is the worst state in Nigeria with a useless governor. |
