There was a time in Aba under TA Orji when kidnapping was rampant like this. Then, they would kidnap churchgoers and the church would be collecting kidnap offering in church for their kidnapped members. Kidnappers used to collect recharge cards as ransom. This was around 2007. Things got to a head when kidnappers kidnapped a school bus full of kids. Toddlers under 5 years o.

Yar'adua sent soldiers to Abia State. By the time they started killing kidnappers and burning down the houses of their parents, kidnapping stopped.

Remember when kidnappers were disturbing in Ikorodu? Buhari bombed them to smithereens and soldiers picked up their leaders in the creeks. Kidnapping stopped.

His write up didn't insinuate that, he is only advocating for better welfare for the Nigeria workers there, the way our unskilled laborers are being used in this country by the so-called expatriates is nothing to write home about.

On another note, if he really meant what you wrote, believe me, they are worthy and honest local contractors who will perfectly handle those jobs, but our mentality since time immemorial is that; the foreign it is, the better it will be.
