This gives a slightly clearer picture, the difficulty locating the pilots is raising from the weather, the haze isn't helping at all? shouldn't pilots have like trackers on them? It would save us lot of them and effort if they did https://prnigeria.com/2021/04/01/24-hours-missing-naf-fighter/?amp&__twitter_impression=true |
youghs:The killings in Cross River was unrelated to IPOB, the first one in Calabar was committed by Kidnappers, an operation gone bad by the Police, the second one, to the North of the state was committed by smugglers, they have since been apprehended. Secessionist activity is more to the south of the state(The Biafra nations youth League) BNYL in Bakassi than in the rest of the State. |

bidex111:If you notice, operations have been largely limited to southern and central Borno state, the Lake Chad areas, and Northern Borno has conspicuously been untouched. The Chadians haven't gotten involved so far, I believe this assault planned in stages, once the NA and Defense HQ are convinced that they have totally cleared Sambisa and Alargarno forest, operations in Northern Borno would commence. The movement of terrorists to N.Borno to avoid the assault on the Sambisa & Alagarno areas was I believe very predictable, the CDS and the COAS talked about getting members of the MNJFT more actively involved in operations, we'll need them in N.Borno the ultimate showdown, this is not over yet, I hope. |
Troops kill Boko Haram Commanders in fresh ambush, confusion hits ISWAP camp In a renewed counter-insurgency operation, Nigerian troops in collaboration with the Multi-National Joint Task Force have eliminated top Boko Haram Commanders on Friday in strategic ambushes. A military intelligence source told PRNigeria that troops eliminated two terrorists’ Commanders: Alai Bor and Maleum Modu, and other Boko Haram fighters in different locations in Borno State. Meanwhile, in another development, there is a confusion in Shura (consultation) Council of the Islamic State of West Africa Province over the appointment of one Abu Dawud as its new leader. This is coming after some militant forces in what appeared as a “coup d’etat” overthrew Amir Abbah-Gana at Tumbum Kayowa. A military intelligence source told PRNigeria that troops eliminated two terrorists’ Commanders: Alai Bor and Maleum Modu, and other Boko Haram fighters in different locations in Borno State. The source said: “Nigerian troops with the support of MNJTF eliminated Alai Bor, a leader of Boko Haram in Buwari village in Bama, while attempting to cross Gwoza-Pulka Highway with six other terrorists in his entourage. “The other terrorists’ commander, Maleum Modu, and three Boko Haram fighters were gunned down by the Nigerian troops while the terrorists were conducting surveillance around Mafa axis. “Items recovered from them included motorcycles and weapons.” Meanwhile, in another development, there is a confusion in Shura (consultation) Council of the Islamic State of West Africa Province over the appointment of one Abu Dawud as its new leader. This is coming after some militant forces in what appeared as a “coup d’etat” overthrew Amir Abbah-Gana at Tumbum Kayowa. Abbah-Gana, PRNigeria learnt, was ousted following a mass protest against the lopsided appointment of one Aliyu Chakkar as the new “Governor of the Lake Chad”. Chakkar replaced one Goni Maina, a former Commander. It was further gathered that bloody gunfire between militants forces supporting the factional “Governors” led to the death of dozens of insurgents. Before the appointment of Abu Dawud, one Amir Goni Mustapha was appointed as Acting Leader and Chief Imam of the ISWAP sect for three weeks, while awaiting the decision of the Shura Council. The reason for the dissolution, according to the Shura Council, include, but not limited to the loss of territories as a result of the offensives launched by the Nigerian Army, Nigerian Air Force, Chadian Army, Nigerienne forces and the regional MNJTF troops under Abbah-Gana’s watch. PRNigeria also learnt that series of air raids and merciless operations by ground troops of the Nigerian military under Operation TURA TAKAIBANGO, a subsidiary operation in the North East, have eliminated many Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists in the Lake Chad region, even as other dozen terrorists and their families have fled the region. https://theeagleonline.com.ng/troops-kill-boko-haram-commanders-in-fresh-ambush-confusion-hits-iswap-camp/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=troops-kill-boko-haram-commanders-in-fresh-ambush-confusion-hits-iswap-camp |
The United States Smuggled A Russian-made Pantsir Air Defense System Out Of Libya. The United States Smuggled A Russian-made Pantsir Air Defense System Out Of Libya: Report The U.S. military has a long history of scooping up foreign assets to dissect them, exploit their weaknesses, and train against them. The U.S. military reportedly spirited a Russian-made Pantsir-S1 air defense system out of Libya last year, after it was captured from forces aligned with rogue general Khalifa Haftar. The operation had the immediate ostensible aim of preventing the system from falling into the hands of any number of militant and terrorist groups in that country, but there would also be clear intelligence benefits from obtaining a largely intact example of this system, which Russia operates and has also exported widely. British newspaper The Times was first to report the covert mission, which it said took place in June 2020. A U.S. Air Force C-17A Globemaster III transport aircraft is said to have flown to Zuwarah International Airport, situated to the west of Tripoli, to pick up the Pantsir-S1, which it then flew to Ramstein Air Base in Germany. It's not clear exactly what model of Pantsir-S1 was reportedly recovered. Haftar's Libyan National Army (LNA) received a number of these systems by way of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), which purchased a distinct version of tRussian-made that uses a German-made 8x8 MAN SX truck chassis. Pictures had also emerged last year reportedly showing examples of the standard Russian type, which uses an 8x8 KAMAZ-6560 truck chassis, and is also the primary export configuration, in service with the LNA. Russian-made. "A Russian official said Moscow was aware the U.S. had removed the Pantsir system but suggested its capture would be of limited intelligence value, since the US would have the opportunity to study the same system in the UAE," The Times added. "Export versions, such as the one captured in Libya, are supposedly stripped of a carefully guarded identification friend or foe database with the transponder codes for all Russian air force jets." https://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zone/38964/the-united-states-smuggled-a-russian-made-pantsir-air-defense-system-out-of-libya-report

Good news from the NE Nigerian Troops Invade Four Boko Haram Strongholds in Sambisa Forest The Nigerian troops with the support of the Multinational Joint Taskforce (MNJTF) have invaded four Boko Haram strongholds in North-East. The accomplishment was revealed few hours after the announcement of new military service chiefs. The Operation led by Brig. Gen Waidi Shaibu, Brigade commander of 21 special armor brigade, stormed and killed several Boko Haram fighters in Maiyanki, Darulsallam, Bula kurege and Izza. A top military source told PRNigeria that the camps served as training grounds for the militants fighters and stationed standby forces in preparation for ambush attacks on nearby troops positions. The source said that a number of the terrorist unit commanders and high value fighters were eliminated, while many more were seriously injured in the ground and aerial strike Operation in the Insurgents’ enclaves. Dozens of equipment have been captured from the terrorists while food stuffs, Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) making materials and clothings were destroyed. “We have cleared Maiyanki, Darulsallam, Bula kurege and have now taken over Izza, all former Bolo Haram strong points. Our troops have been repeatedly attacked in harbour areas, throughout the night, but all were repelled while inflicting heavy casualties on the enemy. “The situation is tough but we are winning. Sadly, a soldier paid the supreme sacrifice and 3 were injured , we brought them out. Our resolve and commitment is unshaken,” he said. https://prnigeria.com/2021/01/27/boko-haram-sambisa-forest/?amp&__twitter_impression=true |

From what can understand, it seems like the NA were aware of the presence in the vicinity, they tricked them they came closer while an ambush was waiting for them, then NAF did the rest

Chop down those gun trucks and erase mobility! ISWAP and JAS have lost over 100 gun trucks in the last 3 weeks! That's something I've always wanted to see, Kudos to the NAF(and those Skyhawk pilots) total badarses! ![]() |

AskiaHarem:If you go to the 'new' Bakassi LGA in Cross-river state, you'll see people returning from Bakassi after settling for Cameroonian citizenship, Claiming ill-treatment from gendarmeries and the military. Look at Cameroon's EEZ in contrast to a much smaller neighbour Equatorial guinea, and then look at ours after the exchange. The Cameroonians got played, with their oil reserves drying up and a lot of prospects in the Gulf of guinea, they have very limited options
