Travel / UK Sponsorship COS Jobs Scam by legendprac(m): 8:51pm On Nov 09, 2023
Dr. Kelvin Alaneme , founder of CareerEdu

I have a few questions for you.

Why do you charge unsuspecting individuals 14, 000 British pounds for what you call "special care job slots", to help them secure care jobs in the UK only for them to arrive the UK and the job is fake. It doesn't exist?

Before a job is offered to someone outside the UK by a company in the UK, the company declares to the Home Office that they have a guaranteed number of hours and/or pay, without which a COS can't be issued by the home office.

So, why are you part of a syndicate that collects people's money, promising to help them get jobs by acting as a middleman between them and authentic recruiters; they pay you based on your reputation as a medical doctor in the uk(in their mind, a medical doctor cannot involve himself in anything shady), only for them to arrive and the job doesn't exist.

They stay for months without getting even an hour shift from the companies. They keep begging you and the company for shifts, so they can pay feed, pay rent, and sort out basic needs.

You and your syndicate, will keep telling them one story or the other, for months on end.

Some become homeless and have to sleep on the streets or find homeless shelters or sleep in churches. They beg for food, they beg for everything, as with every day, whatever money they came with, after paying you upto 14,000 +-, gets depleted.

Some get depressed and consider suicide. When they come to you, you tell them how the only thing that matters is that they are in the uk, and they should enter street and go and hustle.

And when they ask you for refund, as the job you advertised and collected money to help them secure, is fake, you give them names and numbers of people they don't and have never interacted with, telling them to hold them for their money.

I want to know, why?

Why do you claim you are helping people secure jobs. Only to rip them off with your syndicate, they come here and become destitute, and you have no care in the world?

None of all I stated here is false and there are hard evidences, which I'm sure the authorities will be interested in.

It's actually good you tell your victims to go and hold people they have never interacted with, I'm sure the authorities will like that, as you'll be providing valuable information for them to burst your syndicate.

Every person, company, directly or indirectly involved with you in bringing unsuspecting victims to the UK and making them destitute, will need to provide details to the authorities.

That is a promise, I am making you.

To anyone who wants to have any dealings with Dr. Kelvin Uzoma Alaneme, be informed that he's so sweet when he's trying to make you part with your money, but when you arrive here and find out the job they told Home Office they are offering you doesn’t exist, he will stop responding to your calls and messages.

Whatever you do with him, do it at your own risk.

Reading some comments, I weep. I weep because we have come to accept that it's normal for a drunk officer to be on duty.
I weep because we blame the victims instead of the perpetrators of evil.
I weep because, some blame me defending myself.
I weep because some of the comments here is the reason why this brutality will continue.

I weep because as much as I want to effect change, the mindset of some people here will keep affecting the environment where I birth my kids...

It's a sad time to be a Nigerian.
It's a sad time because instead of focusing on the illegality of the assault, we are focusing on what was said or wasn't said to the officer.

It might interest you to know that even complete silence can leave you dead in the hands of police officers in Nigeria.

Many have gone, I would have gone, it might be you or yours tomorrow.

We start dying when we keep silent over things that matter.....

U need to chill. Look I'm not in support of police brutality, I know a lot of cops out there at trigger angry which s no good, but it is very important not to argue with a policeman with a gun, even worse when u try to disarm him. We have heard the op's story, but how are u so sure he was telling the whole truth? Lots of Nigerian youths when they come across a police check point they tend to claim like they know too much. When u have nothing to hide, be calm to policemen they will let u go.

I have come across a lot of youths that just scream at officers whenever they are stopped at a check point. Ask them for their papers they will start raising their voices. And why was his friend so eager to leave at a check point... Isn't that causing suspicion? Even if his house is on the next block, he should wait until the police finish their job. Look let's turn the table around... Let's say that dude that requested to leave was an armed robber and asked to leave in the middle of stop and search and the police let him, u will be here online saying the police doesn't know their job and why would they just let him leave like that. The police might not be the best of friends but let them go on strike for just one day then u will realize their importance. I agree there are lots of bad eggs in the force.

His action wasn't the best, yes. But why not search him again, and if anything, detain him?

That's how it's done in saner climes, right?

And we don't want to create a saner clime for our children yet unborn?

I get your point.

But if we continue in that line of thought, we will succeed in creating a Nigeria where her citizens always cower for their lives in the face of oppression -- Not too bad; I don't dare argue with crazy, armed men.

But the reverse side of the coin is that, then, we would have also succeeded in creating police men who unleash terror on the cowering citizenry, and who expect silent submission at all times.

Be that as it may, there'd always be Nigerians who'd refuse every form of oppression, no matter who the aggressor is. Couple this with crazy police people and you have the perfect storm!

Cure the police, salvage the situation. A policeman should never, for whatever reason, aim his gun at an innocent, non-violent citizen.

Apt.....

Please, read the story again, this time, a bit more objectively. He scuffled with the police guy only when the said police man removed the safety of the gun and decided to shoot at him.

If he had not done that, he would have been shot, without apologies. And what was his offence? Trying to mediate between a violent police man and an innocent citizen.

I have seen a policeman take aim and blow a guy in the eyes and the guy's eye was bloodshot. What was his offence? His motorcycle was seized and he was begging the the policeman. Irritated at the guy's begging, he took aim and punched him. IN THE EYE.

Going by your logic, the guy shouldn't even dodge the punch or impede the blow. And to the OP's story, why would a policeman grab a non-violent citizen by the throat?!? For heaven's sake, why? Even wrestling has rules!

Worst part, after all these evils, you still have Nigerians trying so hard to explain evil away.

A Nigerian policeman can shoot you without any provocation whatsoever.
One can be as calm as a butterfly and still end up dead in their hands

Arrest for what exactly? For preventing himself from being shot unnecessarily? If the OP was being unruly or uncooperative, why not arrest him there and then?

Or are you saying the police man was right to point his weapon at an unarmed man?

It's people like you who give those animals called police men the confidence to kill people off like chickens.

It's a shame really. The people who should be speaking up against evil are trying to explain it away. I pray it does not happen to him or his own

The guy who wanted to leave... His actions were not the best...
But, all happened in the presence of the policeman.

And that was no reason why he should be assaulted. And definitely no reason why I should have been a few seconds away from death...

The policemen know we don't do anything when they kill us, they actually said so that night.
This line of reasoning is the reason we are suffering this.

You admitted online to trying to disarm a leo while on duty?

You're lucky but don't push that luck too far.

PS: if I were the igp, I would arrest before sunset and charge you to court.

Have read your responses and I know you either didn't read my story, or you have issues.
At what point did we start fighting for his gun?

My Story... Praise-Legend Onwuachu.

I left Owerri on Monday, 26th Dec., 2016 after covering a wedding ceremony (I run a media outfit).
I drove from Owerri to Onitsha with no incidence.
On getting to Nkpor Junction, I was stopped by policemen and asked if I had my tinted glass permit. I answered "yes", and I was told to park.
As I was retrieving my documents, the one who stopped us said in an angry tone, "so you don't want to come down?"
I told him I wanted to get the documents he asked for before alighting from my car. Already angry (it seemed he was angry and drunk before stopping us), he asked all of us (5 guys) in the car to come down for searching.
We complied. Starting with the guy in front, he searched the boys with me. He harassed them and made derogatory statements as he searched them.
While he was conducting his search, one of my boys who he had searched told me he wanted to go (we were parked a walking distance from his house).
I said to him, "it's fine, provided you make it out tomorrow before 5am" (we had another wedding to cover at Awka the next morning). We had this conversation in the presence of the policeman.

The guy then went to the trunk of the car to pick his bag (which had not been searched), and the police man told him to bring it for searching.

He brought it and told him to search him so he could go...

At this point, things escalated...

The policeman in anger started calling him an animal and several other names. I decided to wade in at that point. I told him in the most polite and gentle manner that there was no reason to get agitated and abusive, because we had not gone against his orders and had done all he asked us to do. My gentle intervention seemed to worsen the situation as he said he had every right to call him an animal for as long as he wanted.
At this point, he was shouting, and almost immediately, he pushed the guy by his throat.
He kept at it until I stepped in between him and the guy, telling him he should stop as the guy had done nothing to warrant such assault (I must admit, my voice wasn't gentle at this point, but whose voice would be in the face of such violence?)
He then shifted his attention to me and a lot happened within minutes. He first slapped me, then held me by my throat. I pushed his hands away from my throat and that infuriated him the more.
Immediately I pushed his hands away, he, while shouting that I dared touch him, released the safety catch of his rifle ('corked' his gun) and pointed it at me to shoot.
In self-defense, and not having the luxury of time, I hit the nozzle of the rifle away from me and went for his gun to stop him, as he seemed hell bent on shooting.

As we fought for the gun, his colleagues all came, and it was a competition of who was gonna 'cork' his gun fast enough. Thankfully, the crowd that had gathered got involved and physically held them from shooting. With more people involved and the threat of shooting gone, they continued their assault, hitting me and the other guy with their guns, kicking, punching & slapping (they left me barely able to walk to my car, I still limp as I type this).
This continued until my father was called to the scene.

I'm telling my story, because I'm angry.
Angry because I would have joined the statistics of those gunned down in their prime by the people that should be protecting them.

I'm angry because I would have been another news item, just like the man they shot dead at a filling station in Owerri on 22nd Dec, a man who came back to Nigeria for his wedding slated for 27th Dec.

I'm Angry because I know this has been going on and will keep going on until we raise our voices enough to be heard.

Angry because one of them later boasted that he would have still shot me if he was the one and that the worst that would happen is 'the news will carry it'.

I'm angry because it would have been me (someone's son, brother, cousin, nephew) and tomorrow it could be you or me (again) or your brother, father, sister, wife, husband, fiance.

Angry because our continued collective silence will mean we will birth kids in a society where they go out in the morning and you worry if today will be the day a mad policeman shoots him.

I'm angry and you should be too.

Don't wait until it gets to your doorstep before you act. Let's share this until it gets to the right people.

UMOH ANIEKAN , OKOI OKOI , EKECHI JACOB and others (stationed at Nkpor junction, Anambra state) whose names I couldn't get should not be allowed to continue to terrorise the people they took an oath to protect.
