That day, I saw d attitude of nigerians and especially doctors... Nigerian doctors are something else....

They asked me to pay for everything, card, injections,drugs, tissue, disinfectants, even needle before they could touch someone that was losing blood n dying.....

As for nigerians, in as much as I understand the 'police turning it against you' angle, that day, when I arrived d scene of the accident I saw how cold blooded we can be, ppl just gathered, shouting 'ewoo' and others taking shots on their phones, while d victims were dying..one died a few seconds after I got to d scene..
I took one to the hospital and told my frnds that were in d car wit me to stop other cars so dat they will help the others.... Thank God no other person died...

But I think we shouldn't overlook the 'police angle', because I wouldn't wanna be locked up because I helped someone..... So, government should either make emergency numbers and units functional or make sure police doesn't detain ppl dat help accident victims...

Finally, anytime I see an accident scene, I ask myself, WHAT IF SOMEONE I KNOW IS INVOLVED, that makes me stop

Why won't u be able to drive interstate?
1: service ur car, wheel balancing, alignment, brake pads,etc
1a: don't try to impress your friends by speeding
2: only overtake wen u see no oncoming vehicle(don't try dis @ bends)
3: let your friends do the sightseeing while u do the driving(keep ur eyes on d road)
4:if u see sth dt looks like a pothole, slow down first, get to it, if it's a pothole,FINE, if it's not, FINE.
5:LEAVE PH early, don't leave in d afternoon, so u can handle all 'unplanned' incidents in broad day light
6: don't drink.
7: u are not going to d same place with dat car dt would wanna race wt u.... So, drive @ ur own pace, d speed u can control...
8: be careful wit dem long vehicles. They can act like devils..

Having said these, you should be fine....

There is a better route to uyo from ph.... BUT IT'S LONELY and I don't know if soldiers still stay on dat road(they were still dia wen I used that route last year may/june).... The road is d eleme-ogoni-akwa ibom route--- neat NEW road, no potholes, except for the bridges dt dey were still constructing.... but sha the road far, and u will have to know wen to cut n enter akwa ibom... From uyo to calabar as someone had already pointed out, is not that good and it's one lane... So, slow n steady won't be bad......
