Up Police |
Wait na! Pls police, do everything within your powers to subdue and quench these riots. I got no probs with peaceful demonstrations but for this, I am sure, the hoodlums are just tasting waters, they want to check and see if they can create anarchy and turn this country upside down. Be aware that we still have Army. If police proves unable, we av army. So jettison your evil plans. Peaceful demonstrations are those ones in UK, i.e. with placards... Nigeria own especially at Southwest are riots. |
Am now beginning to doubt this man called Reno. Seems he has political meaning to his Twitter posts, I thought he meant honesty. How the hell does this concerns Buhari? Is he IG or Sars commandant? [quote author=KikBuhari2Daura post=94816102]Buhari Loses One Hundred Thousand Followers on Twitter as Omokri Starts #UnFollowBuhari President Muhammadu Buhari has lost 100,000 Twitter followers in just three hours as bestselling author, Reno Omokri, started a hashtag, #UnfollowBuhari. At exactly 5PM GMT, Mr Omokri had tweeted via his verified Twitter handle as follows: Dear Nigerians, If we all mean business with this #EndSARS movement, let’s send a strong message to General @MBuhari. He has 3.5 million followers. If we all stop following him and he sees his Twitter following drop by 1 million, he will sit up. Who is with me? Let’s go there! As at that time, President Buhari had 3.5 million followers. Three hours later, his following had reduced to 3.4 million followers. Announcing the breakthrough, Mr Omokri, also known as #BuhariTormentor, tweeted as follows: Dear Nigerians, When I started the #UnfollowBuhari campaign as part of my #EndSARS protest, some laughed. Well, look. In just 1 hour, we have reduced Buhari’s following by 100,000. Never underestimate your influence. When Nigerians wake up, government will be afraid of us! I do not know if he had something on his hands. But bear in mind that stones, clubs, bottles are all considered weapons. I.e., armed. Kposkila: |
I can't answer that. But I do know that he has every right to defend himself as a law enforcement officer. Ayomarcel: |
Lol Hathor5: |
I wonder what achievement exactly do BBN contestants achieve that warrant such honour.... Lol |
Ayomarcel:He gave a simple condition that eh you 'mora**kr' you attempt to come kill me while discharging my lawful duty and see... I will waste 29 on you and allies and then commit suicide with the last. So what d heck is wrong with dt |
Ask her to spell out Sars acronym, she most likely won't be able. She just want to capitalize on the moment |
ipromise:Those are the protesters. I am beginning to think Army ought to drafted in before these rogues creates anarchy |
saaphiere:Can you imagine |
And what is wrong with what he said. So the policeman has no right to defend himself from mob action.... Or u didn't hear him say him too wants his parent to enjoy the fruit of her labor clydedaniels: |
ModestGal:Yea, good citizens should emulate this bravery and fight for the good of the country |
DoubleEngine007:If "Yahoo boiz" siphoned your bank account, pls tell us how you will feel? I commend the bravery nevertheless, I wish we can be bold enough to fight corruption this way. What I take is reforming SARS of which concrete measures are being rolled out both at state and federal levels |
Abi! I would be ashamed to carry a placard displaying #EndSARS. I prefer to carry #EndYahooboys and #EndCorruption. Maybe #ReformSars. ModestGal: |
Reforming SARS is better but for those calling for ending SARS, they are simply misguided. SARS fights robbery (originally) and they put them in check. SimplyFacts: |
My submissions are that: 1. We should clamour for reforms in SARS and police in general, specifically targeting unprofessional conducts. 2. Police should not take lightly hoodlums sponsored by internet fraudster a.k.a. 'Yahoo boiz' who are bent on taking off any resistance to their criminal activities. 3. Internet fraud should be specifically targeted by the lawmakers and enact tough laws with stiff punishment for "Yahoo boiz" 4. Efcc be digitally repositioned for better efficiency to tackle and bring to barest minimum the activities of "Yahoo boiz" 5. Police be aware of the serious threat of these criminals sponsoring hoodlums with guns (I mean sophisticated guns) with their illicit earnings 6. Finally, internet fraud is barbaric (depriving innocent people of their hardwork and years of hard service, only for it to be squadered by squanderers and wastrels in riotous living) In conclusion, I put to the conscienceless "Yahoo boiz" and their sympathisers that they are in the wrong. And the creator is watching and surely will reward them in due time and that the police should summarily conclude this protest after all, IG has given assurances. Why not wait first, giving the police the benefit of the doubt. |
Tonitoniton:Omg! |
Righteousness89:He didn't even specify if he meant fornication or adultery or legitimate coital. Putting all in same basket is completely inadequate. Sex in marriage is the right one, others are counterfeits, and that explains it. |
Tonitoniton:Lol |
The ruling body said the only way a club can sign the Argentine forward is if he triggers a release clause of 700-million euros ($833 million). La Liga on Sunday released a statement saying Lionel Messi’s Barcelona contract was still valid, days after his shock announcement that he wants to leave the club and hours after he failed to attend a pre-season medical. Messi’s failure to show for his medical underlined the 33-year-old’s determination to leave the club he has been with throughout his career. The six-times world player of the year insists he has a clause in his contract that allows him to leave on a free transfer -- a claim disputed by Barcelona and now by La Liga. The ruling body said the only way a club can sign the Argentine forward is if he triggers a release clause of 700-million euros ($833 million). “In compliance with the applicable rule, La Liga will not approve a request to be de-registered as a player with the Spanish football federation, unless the amount in the release clause has been paid,” La Liga said. Reuters footage showed players arriving for coronavirus tests on Sunday morning and Messi did not appear. He had been due at Barcelona’s training ground at 10.15am local time but a club source confirmed to Reuters he had not arrived. La Liga’s stance is a blow to Messi’s hopes of a quick departure and to those clubs wishing to sign him. https://m.hindustantimes.com/cricket/messi-contract-is-valid-says-la-liga-after-he-fails-to-attend-medical/story-5TJsDp67dTeusuvRsqlrOJ.html

shogsmania:Yeah it's a business thing. There seems no justification for him to be held as he didn't renew his contract with them. |
From the comments, I can safely deduce that this is not uncommon in Northern Nigeria, and that it's underreported. Also, that those under religious leaders care are even most vulnerable and abused. I call on relevant authorities to investigate these issues and bring perpetuators to book as a deterrent to would-be offenders. |
Wize1:Worst still, this is sodomy on children.. Despicable... |
shogsmania:As for Covid-19, I don't think there was an exception for incidents like this in the contract. It's left for the court to determine this case as the 'season's ending' was included in the contract for him to leave and now the season has ended. |
paulolee:Thoughtful I must say. I concur, he should act professionally, at least, as a good role model in the game as you highlighted. |
Great100000:He will o, it's better imagined. Nevertheless, I feel premier league clubs will rise to the challenge. |
HabaHaba:I get you bro |
ThiagoKid:Hah! Oga why you dey take am like that na? By force by fire |
