When it comes to misleading people, you a commander-in-chief. Evidenced in your misleading headline and post
Mide3367: So that Tuesday night, I just came back home from my cucumber and ugu farm In ibeju lekki with my immediate younger brother around 8pm when the news of soldiers killing people filtered out into the Internet. It was all over whatsapp status, Instagram, Facebook, telegram DMs etc. I was alarmed at the gory pics I saw with a whole lots of videos. I slept with heavy heart. I woke up in the morning of Wednesday and still felt terrible about the incident that a whole 78 people were killed. So later in the evening, I visited a guest who came from Abuja. Then I raise the matter and he asked me a question. "Mide, this is almost 24 hours. Have you seen the names of the dead people posted? Have u seen people like reno omokri circulate videos or pics of the dead? Even nnamdi kalu with his minions all around the cyber space couldn't get a verified names, videos, pics etc to post and make Global too. So where is the prove that's 78 people are massacred? I was immediately brought out of my emotional reasoning to a logical reasoning. Immediately I created a thread on nairaland and a lot of people insulted the hell out of me. I posted on my status, friends DM and when I tried proving a point, I was blocked. I posted on twitter and got more insults. I was evicted from about 5 whatsapp groups where people respected me. So where like I know this guy he isn't like that perhaps his account was hacked. As if stands now, I have lost my friends due to this matter. I wish we can get to the root of the matter. Thank God someone like omotola also posted something similar to mine and she was bashed. And I am sure a whole lots of followers unfollowed her before she deleted the post on twitter. But I am still holding on to my stance about the matter till I am convinced beyond reasonable doubt. I rest my case. I have #sorosoked my own oro By Mide
yommen: Don't mind them. About two weeks ago, I passed in front of a particular LCDA in Ikorodu and I saw people seated. On my way back, I saw them coming out with packages similar to these. Some were being carried away in keke and some, bikes. The simple and realistic truth is that they only share these items to party faithfuls. We need to chose just one party devoid of APC and PDP now, with a new bread of leaders.
Most of them will be afraid of government agents coming after them. Some just want to mourn in peace. The SARS victims, many of them kept quiet didn't they? They don't trust Nigeria na
alhajidembele: So they will kill my brother and I will come out and say they killed him, just because I am trying to prove that the lekki shootings were not photoshop? Don't you know that people may not be in the right frame of mind to report the casualities? Imagine losing your only child to the lekki shootings, do you think such a father or mother will be in the right frame of mind to report it?
Thank you my sister, it's obvious that we have good Nigerians. Our bad elements aren't the thugs and hoodlums to be frank. Cos this guys/ladies respect solidarity at least.
P.S: I like to call on our government/leaders to respect Nigerian citizens. We aren't less in status than you just because you are leader. In fact, in might and intellect many will floor you.
Nigerians are great people. You ought not or dare to shoot at peaceful Nigerians.
MANDIPUTIN: Watch A Heart-breaking Account Of Police Brutality In Nigeria.
As graphic as it is gruesome, this is the real-life experience of a man whose wife became the victim of unspeakable violence from those assigned to protect her - the police. However, amidst the tortuous reminder of man's wickedness comes the soothing consolation of God's grace. Get ready to be moved as you witness the tears of Mr Godwin Udoh's past pain wiped gracefully away after a visit to The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) to seek prayers from T.B. Joshua. As you watch this touching account, be inspired to LET LOVE LEAD! NB - We want to assure our viewers around the globe that those responsible for this heinous crime are currently facing the penalty.
I understand that President Buhari has urged State Governments to setup Judicial Panels to investigate SARS/Police brutalities nationwide.
I followed up a release by the Lagos St Gov, but my problem with all this saying is the emphasis on financial recompensation.
So these so-called politicians look down on us like as if we can cheaply be bought over with their money. In their mind now, they think all the SARS victims are 'nobody' or children of 'nobody'.
Please, emphasis should be on bringing the evil SARS officers to book; sentencing them in line with our extant laws.
No amount of money can heal the wounds the vultures caused and that caused by the barbaric ones that tells a mother, a father, an uncle, an aunty, siblings or friends of victims that hey, I killed your son, your daughter, I raped and murder her and there is nothing you can do about it.
Need not say more #EndSars, #EndSWAT, #EndBadGovernment, #EndCorruption, #EndRigging, #EndAttacksSponsoredByPoliticians
Rema - real name Divine Ikubor - is a Manchester United fan and has followed United since he was a boy growing up in Benin City, Nigeria, and got to know their star players by playing video games with his older brother.
"I love United because of him," the 20-year-old told BBC Sport. "He used to play Fifa against me as United, and he would always win - so I always saw them as the winning team!
"We ended up having arguments over who would get to play as them - but, when I got the chance, I got attached to players like Carlos Tevez, Cristiano Ronaldo, Edwin van der Sar and Wayne Rooney, before I even saw them play in real life."
Rema has a good reason to ask for a rematch after some his songs were included in the soundtrack for Fifa 21 when it was released last month - but he might not pick United next time he plays.
"I know we're not doing so good at the moment," he added. "Not compared to those days anyway. The way things are going this season, I am not too happy." - Rema.
Seconded. They mustn't go unpunished for their heinous crimes.
Freestainworld: That Awkuzu SARS personnel's both retired and active needs to be investigated for the murder of innocent youths in that dungeon, Uche nwafor must be brought to book
I need not elaborate on their spate of extrajudicial and evil killings most especially that fox - James Nwafor, though retired but his time of recompense has come.
I call for a judicial enquiry to look into all the killings and evils done by this SARS unit and other notorious units nationwide, even if the state government has hand, they should all be brought to book no one is to be spared. Justice has come for the victims and their family.
I for one call for heads to roll. Some superior officers indicted have to be prosecuted.
Finally, #EndSars is just the beginning and very far from over.
P.S: I apologise for supporting 'reforming' SARS instead of an outright disposal (as was done). It is clear it was rotten beyond remedy.
Ayomarcel: No protester is trying to kill an armed officer no one has the courage. And is he supposed to talk to an unarmed civilian there. Why are u even supporting him? Are you one of those nuisance that deprive people of their rights?!
Awesome my brother... Enjoy ur hardwork joor. Reforms are gud no doubt, and it is right for police to prevent the breakdown of law and order using every possible ways -- DEADLY FORCE INCLUSIVE.
It's their lawful duty safeguard everyone and properties.
Helios85447: May God almighty bless u in all ramifications....... they are just trying to pick some words he said and paint him black ....our orientation in the academy is not as that of NDA where dey train Dem to be mad ......5 years for academy no be beans na why he just dey talk him own oooo
Nigerian protest is mostly hyjacked by hoodlums and street urchins who don't even know what the protest is all about nor the goal of the protesters..
Destroying properties and looting is their game. They derive joy causing riots some will even start raping innocent girls and women... And you expect police to watch with their hands closed.
I support peaceful marching, airing of needs and civilised people and not destruction of government properties and police station as seen in some South Western area - most likely sponsored by their Yahoo criminals. Some we're seen vandalising police vehicle... What do you call that? Peaceful protest still...
Ever seen someone by the riverside complain of soap in the eye....
Bro he has a gun. You and I know that is a defensive tool. You don't attack a policeman that's with a gun, he strikes (that is universal).
Neddstark: You are right man. He has a right to protect himself from mob action. People will never see the light that his statement was what he will do in defense, not offense. However, his tone says a lot. There are better approaches than to go genocidal then suicidal.
Buhari's style of sacking board directors is seriously alarming. I thought this chairmen and women are to oversee the portfolio in their charge why humiliate them when they act to keep M.Ds in check.
