I Prefer the Like Button, with just a Click from Users, You content will be Shared to the World unlike the Share Button where you still have to enter some little Details,
The share button also does this with even a summary but like button doesn't give any summary

Great responses from all you you guys. Thanks, smiley

But for those that answered NO, what are your reasons?
Webmasters13 Ways For Bloggers To Make Money With Advertising by leMuhito(op): 5:55pm On Oct 28, 2011
1. Ad networks

These are services like AdSense and Chitika but also smaller or more local ones like NuffNang (which operates out of Australia and Asia). They can probably fit in some of the other categories as well, as they use different models to deliver their ads.

2. Cost Per Impression (CMP)

This is where you sell space for an ad and get paid based upon how many times it loads. Usually you get paid per 1000 impressions of the ad. The rate varies a lot, depending upon topic. There are lots of very low, “remnant” ad networks out there that pay you a pittance per impression, but if you have a higher value niche you can get better money. I’ve been paid up to $40 per 1000 impressions.

3. Cost Per Acquisition (CPA)

These ads pay out only when someone takes some kind of action after clicking the ad. The action might be a sale but could also be them signing up for a service, leaving an email address, etc.

4. Cost Per Click (CPC)

This is what AdSense used to be: every time someone clicked your ad, you’d get a certain amount. Now AdSense do a combination of CPC and CPM ads—they mix them in.

5. Sponsorships

This is what I do on ProBlogger. I sell ad spots on a month-by-month basis to sponsors for a fixed amount per month.

6. Text links

When you sell a text link on your site, the person buying the link is usually doing it for search engine ranking purposes. As a result, Google frowns on these and you could be risking your own search rankings by doing it. I don’t do this, as I see it as a little too risky, but some bloggers still do. Proceed with caution.

7. Pay per post

Also known as sponsored posts (advertorials), this is where you’re paid to review a product or to promote it in a post. Bloggers have varied ethical stances on this. Generally these days you are required to disclose that you’re being paid for the post.
8. Job board/classifieds

If you operate in a niche where people are buying and selling products or there are jobs that people want to advertise this can be a nice source of income. You need to be able to attract both advertisers and those they want to see the ads to make it work, though—so you need traffic and profile.

9. Newsletter advertising

This is a growing area for me. Some advertisers love to have their brand included in emails that you send to readers. We find bundling some onsite sponsorship banner ads with inclusions in our newsletter is a good way to sell space to advertisers.
Some ad networks (like AdSense) have ways of doing this but you can also sell sponsorships in your RSS feed directly. We use a WordPress plugin called RSS Footer to add an advertisement in the RSS feed of ProBlogger.

Here are a few more ideas that I should add to the mindmap…
Ad networks like Kontera offer these, and I think Chitika and a few others do, too. They are ads that appear in your posts, turning certain keywords into little ads (they usually change the color of the word and/or underline it to make it look like a link). When someone hovers over the word a little ad pops up with a description of a product that they can buy. Some bloggers find these ads convert well, but others find them intrusive.

12. Video advertising

If you publish videos, you might be interested in Youtube’s integration with AdSense, which allows you to earn money from ads that appear in your videos.

13. Image ads

Yesterday +Scott Fitzgerald alerted me to ImageSpace Media, who have a system that adds advertisements into your images. These are similar to the ads you might see in Youtube videos that pop up and that can be minimized.
There are of course other typs of ads and ads that fit into multiple categories above. What types do you use, if any?

sun_temi:
It has been like that for so long.
@sun_temi Well, I never knew but now I know. Do you think that's a good idea?

Wislet:
The eleven numbers are constant. Even if other numbers are added after the eleven or twelve (depending on the network you're using), it only recognizes the main eleven/twelve. E.g in a poor network area, if u add 11, , to the eleven numbers u want to call, it goes faster. Lol. No matter how many numbers u add after the standard number, only the original numbers are recognized, and therefore it still goes through. Understood?
@Yes mam!! Understood, cheesy

track247:
Nigeria's GSM number is eleven digits and thats what the network recognises. Any number you add is irrelevant as it only recognises the first eleven digits
Now noted sir!

odiaero:
@OP, here is it, when ever u add any digit(s) to an existing number registered in nigeria, when u diail the numbers, on getting to the connecting office of the network, the computer automatically select the first 11 numbers and leave the added b4 connecting you, so nothing wrong atall
Noted!

Its like you can now call up to 13 digit of a number and you would still get the same number,

I’m still baffled as I write this but I’ll like to know if there is a new trend in telecommunication in Nigeria which I’m not paying attention to.

I have two lines (Glo and Airtel). I experienced some network failure on my Glo line yesterday morning with a message “Sim Registration Failed“. But I’ve registered all my lines with NCC. Concerned, I changed all my contact addresses telephone number from my Glo to my Airtel line. But by 4pm, my Glo line was again functioning well so I just thought it’s just Network problem as usual.

Today, I tried calling my Glo line with my Airtel just to know if all is well with my Glo line because I was expecting a call from it but I haven’t received the special call then I mistakenly added another “1″ after the 12th digit of my number but the call still went through. Cornered, I replaced the last “1″ (now 13th digit) with 2 then repeated the step with 3,4,5,6,7,8,9…. and all the call still went through.

WebmastersRe: How Can A Website Get Over 1 Billion Page Views In 24 Hours? by leMuhito(op): 9:10am On Oct 20, 2011
Firstly, may God bless Seun Osewa of Nairaland for providing this wonderful platform for people to exchange ideas and get well informed.

Secondly, I appreciate everyone that has contributed to this discussion because I’ve gained from all the comments.

Back to the issue on ground.

What I’m doing here is to showcase what I have in mind at the end.

That’s it! Having the end in mind in all I wanna do has always been helpful.

I intend calling this crazy project a “Server Crashing Day” like I stated before. I know fully well that it would be difficult to achieve my dream in 24hours. Even the news of Steve Jobs death didn’t generate up to that in 24hours or so.

What I have gained here with some wonderful calculations from you guys of what I’d need to put in place has been useful. Like Ahmad Mukoshy said in a recent interview, Impossible to him means I’MPossible and this has been my watchword too.

It’s always good to start small then plan big. So now, I could start from say 500K page views then plan towards the main goal when the needed structure is on ground.

Here is a funny calculation

I know of a CPM ad that pays $40 per impression
. If I could achieve my new target of 500k page views, it would means 1k imp = $40 then 500k imp = $20k in a day and yes all the sites involved would smile  smiley

How do you see this new idea? Stupid/Crazy or Getting better

NB: More could be achieved with this not just the money to be made. Things like Email and RSS subscribers, invite to social connections etc all depending on how well the site converts.

Great comments from everyone. Thank you!

Its funny no one even asks what I thought could be done to achieve this.

I'll like to call it a "Server Crashing Day" or "Server Testing Day".

Imaging if Google, Facebook, Bing and CNN could redirect their traffic to say, Nairaland.com for 24hours, I believe 1 Billion page views should be achieved in 24hours or less.

Now let’s come down to 1million page views in 24hours. What I need do is to gather like 5 sites of say 200k page views each in a day and redirect to say, Nairaland.com then by the end of the day or 24 hours, I would have achieved my goal.

So, you might be thinking, what’s in it for the 5 sites redirecting their traffic.--Its money! Yes money they might not make from their individual traffic.

If anyone cares for more info, I'll be so much happy to share the plan.

NB: I'm currently testing this idea on some of my websites.

Nice one yawa-ti-de! I'm not really into Electricity calculations but What if it won't cost me a kobo to achieve this? For instance, if the website is on a . domain which I don't need to pay for? Would they delete my account because of too much traffic?
