holm: I am of the view UCAP is held mostly by retail Investors. Hence the sharp decline few day after dividend declaration. I also think alot of the dividend were invested by this group in buying more of UCAP.
Should the Q1 result come out good, I expect some ----------- Some people sold at a lost because they didn't know the value of what of they have! UCAP should be selling above #4 by now. |

PETERiCHY: 1st quarter of 2017 is gone and thank GOD we've seen a glimpse of the ECLIPSE I was talking about.
April is Eastar holiday so we should expect a sell-off.
MAY,JUNE & JULY is Muslim fasting cum summer holiday.
I repeat if you don't have long term spare cash stay off entirely from the STOCK MARKET.
*ThE OcToPuS* Sir, If I may ask, what is your interest on the Nigerian stock exchange? You ask people to stay away but you keep visiting everyday. All of us can't go into dollar business at thesame time. I believe that many of us (myself included) have made decent profits after investing on NSE. |

gambei: bro from my jijoing experience in nse, there are no value investors in nse. Even if the result is excellent, that 10kobo is a huge negative sentiment. (UCAP with its excellent result and div yield didn't even last an hour in the 4 - 4.05 range on the day after result release) Personally, I would advise you sell. sell all!!! Come back in april and load at a cheaper price in anticipation for q1. Please set alarm for 10 o'clock tomorrow All things been equal, UCAP should be selling above #5 but the market thinks otherwise. I exited UBA @5.65 making 1.17 per unit instead waiting for their 55 kobo. I learnt my lesson from ucap. |

ihedioramma: THE Federal Government is perfecting plans to supply crude oil directly to illegal refiners in the Niger Delta as part of President Muhammadu Buhari’s New Vision for oil-producing communities in the Niger Delta. As details of the plan emerged on Sunday in Abuja, it was learnt that an idea is also now being worked out to explore how some of the illegal refiners and the local communities in the region can become shareholders in the proposed Modular refineries concept of the Federal Government. According to top Presidency sources, the consideration going on now is subsequent to the promises made by the Federal Government during the presidential interactive engagements in several oil-producing States led by the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo to integrate the illegal refiners, rather than a scorched-earth policy that seeks to eliminate the operations of such refiners. The Presidency explained on Sunday though that there are a number of significant hurdles to be crossed especially issues around If this is implemented ASAP, dollar may go below #200 before the year runs out. Another nightmare for speculators. |

Chibuking81: Is not good to oppose people recommendation, without offering your own recommendation. That's why I asked "godlyguy " to at least give me up to three stock recommendation, but up till now no recommendation.
As far as NSE is concern no body is perfect. With help of research many enter Zenith bank with hope of making at least 50 percent gain, but reverse was the case.
I always carry out my personal research on stocks, but one cann't work alone in this our Stock business.
You can be insider in one company, and outsider in so many, even as an insider remember market has a mind of its own.
I always said that am watching Oando with one eyes, am not heavy on it, but its a desire of every companies to see their company grow. They might decide to surprise the market by extending their announcement up till this period and come up with something good, even if they are still in debt, they can not be there forever. But any failure on their side to surprise the market will land them to #2 this time, using FO as a case study. I asked that question because the person you are asking for recommendations will tell you to avoid all the stocks. |

Coolcash1: I fault your sense of reasoning. There is no country that has successfully defended its currency and won. For instance, russia, saudi arabia, venezuela, argentina tried it and failed woefully...Until CBN faces reality and do the needful, its just a matter of time before the trend reverses and speculators will continue to win You don't get it. My point is that Nigeria has been defending the naira even when dollar was 150. Things turned this way because of the fall in oil price. If oil price remains above $50 and daily output up-to 2 million bpd, Nigeria will continue to defend the naira for a looooooooong time. Also Nigeria is gradually becoming rice sufficient and importation of petrol may stop soon with dangote refinery. |

Godisfaithful: Sirs', God bless for this opinion. I asked some questions yesterday about CBN transparent policy in terms of FX policy but message was transformed as a mere opinion. I have so many concerns about this CBN...their defense of Naira is well understood but not justified when compared with what's at stake. We are going to loose more at the long run when electioneering period start approaching. As i said once again, so many scrupulous and detailed information about foreign exchange policy are still missing with both fiscal and monetary policy bodies in Nigeria. What happened if CBN has no $$$$ to supply to the market again
Question for everyone!!! The bolded was the cause of our economic problem. Now that they have some dollars to support the naira let them continue because it has always been like that. Hopefully when the economic recovery plans on ground begin to yield fruit, our dependence on oil will be minimal. With dangote refinery coming on board, there is hope for Nigeria. The speculators may not win this time. Nigeria 1 - 0 Speculators. The octopus, I heard the dollar is now 380! Time to buy more. |

In the north they use all sorts of chemicals to preserve beans before storage, including rat poison. Please what is the safest way to preserve beans? omoharry: Dry pepper..the beans can stay for six month with insect.that is how i store mine where i buy in bulk..these sellers are just ignorant Can this be feasible to those storing beans in commercial quantity? Seriously we need public health enlightenment in this country. I used to think that the Safety of the beans depends on how long it was left in the store before human consumption no matter the chemical used. Believe it or not most of the beans coming in from the north are usually preserved with chemicals. |

Chibuking81: It will still go down more, but not to #10, It will go down as a result of removing out billions of naira for dividend payment. It will start going up gradually again after the payment as a result of re-investment of the dividend, if the share holders decides to do so. Their payment date is tomorrow 23th of March 2017. When is ucap payment date? |

locodemy: I dont know why people are asking this kind of question on zenith bank day by day.Veritas registrars manages zenith bank shares and is one of the fastest registrars i know that credit outstanding dividends within two weeks provided you do the right thing.
Anyone having problems with the registrar should tell us exactly the extent he or she has gone to process it and we will know if you have done the right or wrong thing. DeRuggedProf: Someone who had a similar challenge and resolved should please help further with more specific info. This has worked for me and I was credited with past dividends. I thought this method only works for those who bought through the primary market. I tried it with several registrars and they demanded for signature confirmation. Most of them will even ask you to contact your stock broker. |
