Career › Re: My Bitter Experience Doing A Security Guard Job by Leo81(m): 3:04pm On May 20, 2020 |
Ayomide11111: If You've Done This Job Before, Pls Tell Me Your Experience Too
This my thread is just mainly for single men and guys outside there and I would like to share my experience with you guys on what I have undergone and experienced as a Security guard.
To be a security guard is not a job I can advise my enemy to opt for let alone my friend or relation. The job is a regardless one and very disgusting.
As a security guard, you are more or less a beggar in the street, should I say beggar has a little regard more than you.
When people see you, they see nothing in you. Most especially when you're trying to speak to them in English making them to know that you're educated...(laugh..) You just did it wrong, to them it means you are having mental problem.
The image impression of 98% of people on guys who do this job to hustle for their lives rather than involving in criminal practices is that they have no future; is that they cannot make it in their lives; e.t.c.
Since I've started this job when I finished my program in the polytechnic, any lady I made to know about the job I do turns me off later, some said it's a beggars' work.
And currently, I hardly have female friends not to talk of girlfriends or marriage.
Though, I didn't mean to start this job before if not condition, but now I'm planning to quit the job and find another.
Sometimes, I cried in my room, begging God to show me another way.
One of the workers in the place of work that I'm guiding once told me that his dog is better off than me. This is even the person that cannot even compose simple correct English, he said his dog is better than me.
Your experience too is allowed... Thank you. Completed my HND in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, with on the job experiences in industrial automation.went further to acquire another skill in instrumentation and control.I had the dream of securing a better job after my nysc, but non was available ofter over a year search. Dammm, will i die of hunger, how will I pay my bills? Mind you,I was still living with my parents, eating mama thank you as a graduate. I had to take up a job in a security firm as a guard, at least get something by the end of the month. The insult I have received from the job can reduce the confidence of a man ,we are seen as outcast, a no body,a failure in life. I could remember vividly a contractor that came to our office to carry out some maintenance job, i had to make him go through the modus oparandi of the organisation, but he refuses. That was the day i recieved the worst bashing of my life. I gave him a smile and move on.i didnt allow the incident wear me down. Still looking out for better opportunities, man no go remain for the job for ever. |
Health › Re: I Have Turned Into An Introvert Because Of My Scar. Please Help by Leo81(m): 10:12am On May 20, 2020 |
somehelpington: Good day all. I'll try to be brief and detailed.
I had to open a new account to stay anonymous because most of my friends come here to read news.
Pardon my english please. It all started in April of 2018. My friend told me that there was this trader nearby who needed our help to move her container shop. I think we were 6 in number or so that went to do the job. After which we were paid 400 naira each, some got 300.
While moving the container to the spot she directed us, the guy beside me left the container without informing me or should I say his hands slipped off. (Only God knows). The container gave me a deep sharp cut on my left arm.
There and then, I was rushed to a nearby chemist store to dress the wound, at the expense of the owner of the container, but I refused to take tetanus injection. For more than 6 months, the wound was taking forever to heal.
Around October 2018, My mum took me to one hospital near our house. It was when the doctor told us that the wound has already been infected, that was why it refused to heal or close up, and that the alternative was to cut off the infected surface and then stitch it up. After all and all, my mum paid 2 to 4k, (I've forgotten the exact amount). I was booked for operation on Friday morning.
I got to the hospital around 10 in the morning. The doctor gave me some injections on my left arm. She told me to lie down on the bed and close my eyes. Before then, I think I saw one of the nurses giving her the surgical blade (very sharp). There and then, she proceeded to cut of the infected surface, which I think lasted roughly 1 hour. After that, she began to stitch it up. I could feel what was going on but I don't think it hurt me either, maybe it was because of the injection. When she was done, she used plaster to cover it up and told me to be coming for injections for one week.
After one week, I went back to the hospital, where one of the nurses had to remove the plaster and surgical thread after bombarding my buttocks with injections for 7 days. After some days, I noticed the surface began to inflate on a daily basis. We went back the hospital and the doctor told my mum to buy what the Igbos call Abuba Eke (snake skin) to rub on the surface. After using it for some days, I noticed it wasn't working, which means it was not the original Abuba Eke.
Fast forward to March of 2019, we went to another hospital, where we met one doctor like that, I can't remember what they called him but I think he's in charge of skin related issues. (That was not before paying 2k for card). Even after explaining our predecament to him, he still insisted we should get the card.
After that, he directed us to Orchard Pharmacy, to go get one injection like that. It's sold for 2k and the bottle is very small. He said it would be the best treatment, that after giving me the injection for like 2 or 3 times, it would flatten the scar, because it was a keloid scar and that if I should decide to operate on it, which he would advise us not to, that it might still come back after sometimes in a bigger form. All this made me scared.
Well, we came back with the bottle injection which he gave me 3 times right beside the scar, it was very painful but I am a man. After sometimes, I noticed the scar got inflated and was like about to get burst. When we got home, It was now flatter than it was. Due to money issues, we didn't go back to the hospital. (Chai, I must make am)
Now, I am very confused at this point. I don't know if I should go to the village to collect the Abuba Eke (snake skin) my grandma bought to be using on the scar or we should go back to the hospital (in search of the man, that's if he's still there) to collect the remaining injections.
I know my case is not the worst and I still have hope because I believe, My current situation is not my final destination.
Please I need your help and contributions.
NB: Please don't come here to tell me to go and make money first, as if money equals peace of mind.
I'd be grateful if it gets to the front page. Bros is it because of this little mark in your hand you are typing this long episode. Nawaoooo, I was thinking it's something serious. Hiiissss..... |

MyMouth: Atiku, am sorry I attacked and critized you when you said u will sell off those refinaries. I was blind, now I can see. The idea is actually very good but I can't trust u with the sales, u will end up selling it off to urself and ur friends instead of the general public and mismanage the procede. The privertization policy under obasanjo which was under ur office comes to mind. That is the reason most Nigerians opposed the idea coming from you. That is why it is always good to use the opportunity given to you to do good to the public and be sincere When I say some black people are stiupid, they will say it is hate speech. |

pyyxxaro: The refineries have be down because of the fake turn around maintenance (T.A.M) they intended doing.... As at today there’s no maintenance work ongoing.... A lot of equipment , a lot of pipes worth billions of Naira would get destroyed because of this shutdown...
The refineries dropped 95% of its contract staff in April....Thereby sending graduates back to the streets .... These contract staff(s) do 95% of all the jobs there , but were refused permanent employment... These graduates have worked for close to 5 - 15years with nothing to show ...

My girl friend once asked me to buy her a sanitary pad( Always altra) along the street with other items I went out to get. On getting to the shop,I requested for other items except the sanitary pad because I was ashamed of calling the name. As I was about leaving the shop,I pretended to have forgotten something. I went back to the sales girl, pointing at the direction were it(sanitary pad)was kept without uttering a word. She brought it with a funny look at me. I gave her money then zoomed off. |

JAMO84: Buhari has done it again. We haven't had any fuel scarcity in like four years now, something that use to happen every six months during the sixteen miserable years of the useless Poverty Development Party.
Subsidies are gone for good, any marketer that doesn't want to accept the new reality can start selling palm oil.
For the first time since 1993, we are going to completely get rid of the fraudulent subsidy regime and use the money to development our critical infrastructure!!!
I AM DONE TALKING where will the money come from. Just being curious. |
