PoliticsRe: Orji Proposes ‘Institute Of Chartered Politicians’ by Lescott7(m): 8:51am On Jun 01, 2016
My Opinion: The proposed bill is a great one to me if properly prepared. I think it if there is a body that serves as regulatory body for our politicians, political office holders would not act against the ethics of the profession. Any politician who has breached the law of the institute would have his membership withdrawn and won't be able to contest.

PoliticsRe: Fuel Subsidy Removed Officially By FG by Lescott7(m): 5:43pm On May 11, 2016
It time for us to accept APC led Buhari administration as our faith,he has removed what has been raising questions, the budget has been assented. It's now time for us to keep watching him fixing Nigeria.
I was a proud supporter of Buhari then but the time has now come for us to keep watching him and see if he is truly ready to deliver
CareerRe: Help A Brother! How Can I Choose A Career Path? I Studied Business Education! by Lescott7(m): 10:36am On May 11, 2016
It is a common phenomenon that most business education undergraduates and graduates still don't know their worth. I am a 300l student of business education and to some extent I can say some things about the field, business education is a 2-in-1 course where we have Education for business and Education about business. Education for business aspect of it enables one to acquire relevant competencies for working in different organization, that's why we have several options in business edu such as (Accounting, marketing, office tech e.t.c). Education about business enables you to be well grounded in any business you venture into because of the management training you have acquired .
To the Op,pls try to revisit your interest you are both functionable in accounting and the teaching field. I can tell u very clearly that my business education lecturers still lecture in dept of accounting here in my school, I know one of them has an audit firm and still a Fellow chartered accountant (FCA). As I am studying business education, I have planned that, when I graduate I will take ICAN exam,,hopefully get a job in one of the top 4(kpmg,PWC...) and work as an accountant through out my career.
I am a business education (marketing option) 300l student
EducationRe: Unilorin Scholars! Benefits by Lescott7(m): 8:18pm On May 10, 2016
A colleague of mine here in my school told me something like this happens in Unilorin, also one of my 'toasters' that is in Unilorin said this. It's good to encourage and motivate brains,I am one of those that believes in that but my school here doesn't care about you, being the best student likewise fellow students. In Ekiti State University, nobody cares if u are one of the best students with good CGPA but we care about non-academic things like being a G-boy,a musical artiste, dancer and all sort of anti-moral things.
I'm with a good CGPA of above 4points though not on a first class,I'm in 300l,I got my motivation from the desire to make it in life and not wasting my P-man's money, wasting my own time and deceiving myself. I so love academic excellence and real life success,so have got to make good grade.
PoliticsRe: Lai Mohammed: A Masquerade Can Create Jobs For 1,000 Men by Lescott7(m): 6:35am On May 04, 2016
If this is one of the ways APC wants to create their so called jobs,Nigerians are already in trouble. How would a whole minister open his mouth and say the job and diversification of the economy they promised is for the citizens to be dressing masquerades.

EducationRe: An Open Letter To EKSU Student Union President by Lescott7(m): 9:24pm On Apr 02, 2016
alexisgist:
AN OPEN LETTER TO IBRAHIM OLADIMEJI ADEBAYO a.k.a PRODIGY
(What are we to expect).
On the 20th of June, 2015, Com. Prodigy was sworn-in as the President of the Student Union Government of Ekiti State University after he has duely won the election. Today, 2nd
April, 2016 makes it exactly 287 days that he has been sworn in and this question keeps coming to my mind; What are we to expect?.
By the special grace of God, another date (even if not accurate) has been slated for the next SUG election and handing over is going to take place, yet we have nothing to expect from the current Executive members. During the campaign of this administration, the President presented us (EKSUITES) with a three-point agenda among which we have the principal project of a pure water company (EKSU water) to be established which was welcomed by most of the students on campus if not all.
We must also jot forget that during the inauguration of the present Vice-Chancellor of this great citadel of learning, Professor Oyebandele, he also promised to execute the same project in other to serve as a source of income to the school management. In order to avoid the conflict of a interest, our dear president decided to put a stop to the project for the Vice-Chancellor to execute it. To bring hope to the Nigerian Students, the SUG president decided to move grounds by the construction of a radio station (EKSU FM).
On considering the cost of construction of a radio station, the Student's Senate Council (SSC) have decided to put the project on hold. This brings me back to the question I asked earlier, What are we o expect? Either we like the t or not, the curtain of this administration is drawing to a close gradually and if by now there is no plan(s) for the Nigerian Students (EKSUITES), I don't think there is ever going to be a plan. The emergence of this administration, to the best of my knowledge is based on trust. If by now, the President in person of Com. Prodigy is not giving us the benefit of this doubt, I fear for the next SUG election because I begin to ponder on the basis on which the next candidate would emerge.
To put an end to my letter, I would like you sir to come out open to us sir to let us know where we are headed and what our expectations should be. I have promised myself never to cease the use of my pen until the GOOD of EKSU becomes BETTER and the BETTER becomes BEST.
ALUTA CONTINUA
VICTORIA ASERTA
DARE TO STRUGGLE
DARE TO WIN.
I reman my simple self,
Hon. (Com.) BrainBox.

... I was a supporter of Prodigy during the electioneering campaign,I voted for him just because he is from my faculty. All I could say is that this guy(Prodigy) likewise others in the political arena of the union never understood what unionism is all about and lack basic leadership knowledge. I am a 300level Business Education student. Thanks

oga carry your wisdomless quotes away from here.was ibori not tried in one of these courts? The same court that will tell a looter who stole billions to pay thousand for bail! Have you forgotten when an accused will take drum and everything to court because he knows he will be bailed? Nigerian politiefcians needs iron hand and that's what they are getting.
What you are saying in essence is that the courts orders should be set aside and the judiciary is be erased?

This evil Fayose is good in dragging Ekiti reputation into Mud. Imagine how can this slow poke and comedian voted in for house of representatives amongst professors and brains that the world knew Ekitians for if the election was conducted under sanitary atmosphere? Chai Ekiti people have suffered in the hand of this idi'Amin of Afao.
Don't you know the difference btw house of reps and state house of assembly?
PoliticsRe: Afolabi Akanni In Rubber Bathroom Slippers by Lescott7(m): 8:05am On Mar 18, 2016
I never knew Buhari could be disrespecting court order,if this man is guilty of any offence why not charge him to court?.DSS has now become the Presidential tool for attacking it's enemies. We are in a democratic system for God sake but Mr President is ruling like a dictator.

I know there are some OMO ALE YORUBA that will still be supporting the president on this issue.
Like Fayose said, it's Ekiti today it might be ur turn tomorrow.
The Yoruba will say " Ti eni to de lari, a ko mo ti eni to n bo"
CareerRe: What Were Your Childhood Dreams And Have You Lived Up To Them? by Lescott7(m): 9:14pm On Mar 15, 2016
1) The dream is to become a chartered accountant

2) The second one to be a senator or a minister of the federal republic of Nigeria.

The first one is still achievable although I'm studying Business Education in the university but I just need ICAN certification to achieve this

I'm working towards the second dream also. I can say all my childhood dreams are still achievable.

BusinessRe: Entrepreneurship In Nigeria Is A Scam And A Multiplier Of Poverty by Lescott7(m): 11:20am On Mar 14, 2016
Sincerely all those things they call entrepreneurship in Nigeria are not in anyway related to the economic and common sense meaning of what entrepreneur actually meant. Most things they call entrepreneurship such as Barbing, tailoring,make-up,bead making etc are Vocational skills and not entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurship in a normal sense is beyond what we call it in Nigeria and Universities in Nigeria are actually making this misconception, entrepreneurship is simply seeing opportunities and responding to it positively. The bottom line is that, you are not an entrepreneur when you into or have acquired the so called vocational skills wrongly perceived to be entrepreneurial skills. An entrepreneur is someone who sees opportunities where others fail to see and it's not someone that is learning barbing where there seems to be more than enough barbers.

EducationRe: As A Teacher, How Can I Help Boost Confidence In A Timid Pupil by Lescott7(m): 9:40pm On Mar 09, 2016
I am happy that we still have people who are committed in the teaching profession. Concerning your pupil, i will suggest u work more on ways to reinforce ur pupil, most especially, words of encouragement and always show interest in anything pertaining to the pupil. Lastly Teaching aids/instructional materials should not be overlooked, it's very important u employ the use of instructional materials so as to sustain and arouse the pupil interest as it's widely believe in the field of education that a learner tends to learn more when there are things that picture what he has been taught after class.
EducationRe: Is 2 1 For Average Students? by Lescott7(m): 4:26pm On Mar 07, 2016
To get 3.5 na roughly more Bs and some As... A 2.1 graduate is never an average student it is a 2.2 graduate that can be referred to as an average student and to be sincere enough not all 2.2 grads are average students.
EducationRe: Is 2 1 For Average Students? by Lescott7(m): 12:11pm On Mar 07, 2016
How will a reasonable person opens his mouth and say 2.1 is for an average student? Before u can get a 2.1 on 5point scale u must have a minimum of 3.5,which represent 70% of the total possible score,so pls tell me why someone that had 70% should be referred to as an average student?

The Op also disrespected him one way or the other,I was in that same class with Op,Op should not have stood up at all we all know this man knew we caught all his grammatical blunders and the whole class was laughing. He said some thing like"HOW DOES HE DOES THAT"

I was in afternoon class yesterday when my biro stopped working, so i decided to go and collect the biro I gave to my friend before the lecture. I stood up and went to the where my friend was sitting meanwhile the lecturer was in at the back of the class receiving call. I thought to my self that I would collect the biro and explain the reason for my standing up to him but before I could do that; he called me and asked me the reason I stood up, I explained to him and he said I should get out of his class. Before I could reach the door he asked me to come back and give him my name and matric no; which I did, then he sent me outside and said I should never come for any of his other lectures or test. He conducted a test for us that same evening which true to his instructions I didn't come for. He would have said I shouldn't come for exams if not for the fact that the course is being taken by two lecturers so he only has 50% on grading us.

So does the punishment fits my crime?

And what steps can I take so that this man won't bully me.

am nt a girl.
From what I read, if am not mistaken u are a student of eksu and the class was ACC311 at goodluck Jonathan hall. Op if am right? I was in that class.
