PoliticsRe: Atiku Vice Should Be From South South (i'm From South East) by Lessonteacher(f): 4:38am On May 29, 2022
Kenneth4u205:
I'm Igbo but my honest opinion is that ATiku should pick his vice from Igbo speaking part of South south. That will give him all of south south vote and maybe all or part of South east vote. South East has already declared 2 weeks seat at home during election .so this has already render them political useless. Only a foolish man will pick vice from South East currently when they are not ready to vote .
Igbo has the highest population in Nigeria if you combine the Igbo in South East plus Igbos in each of the 36 states in Nigeria. Not to mention Igbos scattered in every city in the world.but we are foolish politically. We make political decisions based on emotions.we tend to have permanent enemy and permanent friend. But in politics, there is no permanent friend or enemy ,only permanent interest.

This my generation of Igbos are total failure politically. But my prayer is that generations not yet born will be wiser during their time and stop playing politics of emotions.
there's an element of stupidity in what you wrote, if you really an Igbo and have lived

9 days after buying a Bluegate UPS(42k) i reported that the item was defective and it even damaged my home theatre while running on the UPS batteries.

JUMIA customer care said I can't be refunded because Jumia only offers 7days warranty. Rather they will send me an address for repairs.

Now I have a damaged LG home theatre and a defective UPS. Double loss, all because i patronised Jumia Nigeria.

Hope my experience will save someone from making the same mistake.

Hello everyone. Please I want to know what books to read, and what to look out for in my journey to becoming the most learned man on the planet. I don't care about the demerits I just want to satisfy my curious mind before I become manure for plants' life.

And most importantly I would love to invent a few things too that would probably help humans too. Is all in my head I can't say that here though, till maturation.

I wish this could get to the front page for better contribution. Pls, mods I beseech thee to push it to the front page, thank you.
more important is what you make out of the book you read. If you can perfectly utilise the data in any one good book you read , then the sky will be your starting point. This is because everything is related, everything thing is related.

PoliticsIgbo Marginalisation May Lead To Nigeria’s Extinction – Singer Paul Play Dairo by Lessonteacher(op): 4:15pm On May 25, 2022
Veteran Nigerian singer, Paul Play Dairo, has said that the marginalisation of Igbos in Nigeria may lead to the country’s extinction.

In a lengthy post on his Instagram page on Tuesday, the singer noted having loved Nigeria and lived in it most of his life, his fear rests on the marginalisation of the Igbos.

“I love Nigeria. I’ve lived in it most of my life. My fear is if the marginalisation of Igbos continues, we may not have this country in some years to come,” Dairo wrote.

The Angel of my Life crooner also stated that his career enjoyed more patronage in the East, South and North, more than in the West where he came from.

He said, “I love this country. I can never choose another country over my country. I am Yoruba but I love all Nigerians, no matter the tribe.

“My career enjoyed more patronage in the East, South and North, more than in the West where I am from. I am grateful for the opportunities all Nigerians gave me to have a shot at stardom and popularity.

“I don’t take that for granted. In fact, I remain grateful for the rest of my life.

“However, truth must be told without fear or favour, without care about whose ox is gored. I know some will come out and say this should not be on the basis of tribe. Yes, but I analyse issues by putting myself in the shoes of those who feel cheated.”

He noted that Nigerians who do not believe that the Igbos deserve a shot at leadership are selfish and unreasonable.

Dairo said, “Whoever calls himself a Nigerian and feels the Igbos do not deserve a shot is just being selfish and unreasonable. The signs are being written on the wall but we keep thinking the terror now growing in the East will die down or will go away. Hmmm. I hope I’m wrong because this peace won’t be for long.

“I come in peace. I believe in equal rights and justice for all. GOD BLESS NIGERIA. Sorry GOD HAS ALREADY BLESSED NIGERIA. It’s up to me and you not to ‘UNBLESS’ IT. Shalom.”

PoliticsLawyer Sues FG, 12 Northern States For Sharing In VAT Realised From Alchohol by Lessonteacher(op): 11:05am On May 25, 2022
Human rights lawyer, Chief Malcom Omirhobo, has sued the Federal Government (FG), Attorney General of the Federation (AGF), Lagos State government and its attorney general, and 12 other northern states and their attorneys general at the Federal High Court, Lagos, over-allocation of Value Added Tax (VAT) realised from the sale of alcoholic beverages.

Other defendants in the suit are Kano, Zamfara, Kaduna, Bauchi, Sokoto, Borno, Gombe, Jigawa, Katsina, Kebbi, Niger and Yobe States.

They were all joined alongside their attorney’s general.

The applicant is asking the court to determine whether, by interpretation and/or construction of the provisions of Section 4 (7) and items 58 and 59 of Part I of the Second Schedule of the 1999 Constitution, he is obligated to pay VAT to the 3rd defendant (Lagos State) and not to the 1st defendant (FG).

He also wants the court to say whether, by virtue of Section 40 of the VAT Act, Cap VI Laws of the Federations 2004, it is equitable, proper, legal, lawful and constitutional for all domestic VAT collected from the 3rd defendant and other states to be paid into the federation account for allocation to all states and their local councils on a sharing formula.
The sharing formula, he pointed out, is 15 per cent to 1st defendant, 50 per cent to the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja and 35 per cent to the 774 local councils in Nigeria on the basis of equality and population.

The lawyer, is, therefore, asking the court to declare that by the interpretation and/or construction of the provisions of Section 4 (7) and items 58 and 59 of Part I of the Second Schedule of the 1999 Constitution, the applicant is under obligation to pay VAT to the 3rd defendant and not to the 1st defendant.

Omirhobo is asking the court to declare it illegal and unconstitutional for the 1st defendant to allocate VAT revenue realised from the consumption of alcohol in other states to the 12 defendants who prohibit consumption and destroy them in their respective states for religious reasons and/or in the enforcement of the Sharia criminal law.
Besides asking the court to order that he pays his VAT to Lagos State and not the Federal Government, the lawyer is praying the court to restrain, perpetually, the governments of the 12 states from further institutionalising and implementing the Sharia Criminal Law Justice System in their respective states.

He prayed for “an order of this court compelling the 1st, 2nd, 5th, 7th, 9th, 11th, 13th, 15th, 17th, 19th, 21st, 23rd, 25th and 27th defendants to protect the fundamental rights to dignity of the human person, personal liberty, private and family life, peaceful assembly and association, freedom of movement and right to own moveable and immoveable property of the plaintiff, minorities and non-Muslim Nigerians in Kano, Zamfara, Kaduna, Bauchi, Sokoto, Borno, Gombe, Jigawa, Katsina, Kebbi, Niger and the Yobe States from being violated and/or infringed upon as a result of institutionalisation and implementation of the Sharia Criminal Law Justice System by the 12 defendants.”

PoliticsPeter Obi: Oil Money Not Paid Into FG Account Since January by Lessonteacher(op): 7:16am On May 22, 2022
A presidential aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Peter Obi, has said that no single dollar had been paid into Federal Government’s account since January despite the rise in crude oil price at the international market.

Obi stated this on Friday during an interactive session with a PDP youth group, in continuation of his consultations ahead of the party’s presidential primaries.
The aspirant lamented the parlous security and economic situation in the country urging Nigerians to immediately rescue the nation before it collapses.
Obi said: “Every day in Nigeria, you hear bad news. We can no longer pretend. Nigeria is no longer a destination for investors.
“Nigeria has not paid a dollar into its account since January despite the fact that prices of crude oil have gone up.

“The PDP should pick its next candidate based on merit. The youth must change the future of Nigeria. Nigeria is collapsing and it is happening fast.

“It may not be too long before it will completely collapse. Tension and unrest still persist and we should be worried. Nigeria is one of the most stressful countries to live in today.”
Obi’s campaign coordinator, Dr. Doyin Okupe, alleged moves by some interests to frustrate Obi’s chances of winning the PDP ticket.

I don't have any advice for you, but, I think you could tell her point blank she's no longer in your heart, so she knows in time and don't feel you have wasted her time,
You shouldn't have accepted her back wholeheartedly after she left you for another guy who had more money.
At this juncture now, if you feel she's not offended you in any way to be treated without love, then you shouldn't treat her coldly.
You should try to start withdrawing yourself bit by bit from her, at a point she will be tired of you, or she'll find someone else to date. Be careful with her though, most of these females could be heartless.

PoliticsTambuwal: APC Planning To Make Ahmad Lawan, Its Presidential Candidate by Lessonteacher(op): 4:41pm On May 17, 2022
Barring last-minute changes, the ruling All Progressives Congress has plans to field Senate President Ahmad Lawan as its candidate for the 2023 presidential election, claims Governor Aminu Tambuwal.

“They are gradually moving away from their zoning arrangement. We know their tricks. They want to see the outcome of our primary come May 28 and 29 before they will decide who will be their candidate,” Tambuwal said. “Look at the APC national chairman. He is quiet about their supposed zoning arrangement simply because they already have plans to field Senator Ahmad Lawan depending on who is the presidential candidate of our party.

Tambuwal, a frontline presidential hopeful of the Peoples Democratic Party, disclosed this on Monday while speaking at a stakeholders meeting with PDP delegates in Lokoja, Kogi State. He also warned Nigerians against voting for the APC, as the party’s presidential candidate will continue President Muhammadu Buhari’s poor legacies.
“No doubt the issue of insecurity is a national issue, but it has worsened under the present administration. Any attempt to vote for an APC aspirant or candidate will worsen Nigeria’s situation. Nigeria should know that APC will continue with Buhari’s bad leadership and under-development,” Tambuwal pointed out. “This will not go down well for our country as there is hardship in the land. We must not lose hope in this nation. Nigeria will rise again as we need a leader who will unite and not divide us.”
He further noted that the eight years of the APC were horrible compared to the 16 years of PDP in power, stressing that the judiciary is currently under attack.

The former speaker of the House of Representatives told his PDP supporters he was wrong to defect to the APC and support Mr Buhari’s government and vowed to stop the ruling party from returning to power in 2023 if chosen to be PDP’s presidential flag bearer.

According to the Sokoto governor, the anguish and horror experienced by Nigerian youths in the hands of the APC government are still fresh in the memory.
The Sokoto governor appealed to PDP delegates to go for an aspirant that could deliver votes for the PDP, and his emergence will put an end to APC’s cruelty.

“I have apologised to PDP as I was part of the people that brought this APC to power, and I know how to take them out,” said Tambuwal. “Just give me your votes, the rest will be history as APC will be history in Nigeria.”
